It’s nothing difficult, really. One guitar plays a melody in a certain key (here E minor for example) and the other follows by playing the third note up from what the first is playing.
The fucking faggots on Yea Forums don't play guitar, they just want to gearfag and shitpost like the mindless sheep they are. That's why their playing is so shitty and amateur hour.
Dominic Evans
yeah they fucking suck and then they cry like little bitches when you laugh at them lol
Joseph Ramirez
That's where the Sam meme came from, they all see him playing live and living their dream which makes them seethe uncontrollably because they see even a loser living in a favela in Brazil is a better guitar player an more successful at music than them lmao
That’s why this thread is here. Try to advance our knowledge of the instrument. It’s important to know what you’re doing and what sounds right and what doesn’t.
Kayden Ward
Who is this Chad? He looks like a total badass
Anthony Kelly
He's the only guitar player on Yea Forums who has ever been in a band or played live lmao
Owen Hall
What's his name? I want to hear his guitar playing
Yes, you are correct, they are tuned in E flat. Both parts are correct, really good! The second part ends with a higher note though. It was easy, when you got the first part figured out, right? I mean applying the rule.
Parker Brooks
I don’t think there’s a particular scale there, it’s mostly chromatic runs, I think. If you want the notes, I can write them out.
I play but I’m not good. The only gear I have is a capo.
Hunter Peterson
>thread about playing guitar >no one on Yea Forums of from /gg/ bothers to open it lmfao
Jeremiah Williams
The current sad state of Yea Forums, a music board mind you
Anthony Morris
it speaks more to how you're obviously an aging 'le wrong generation' shut-in that has long since lost the plot but feel free to keep being delusional and out of touch lol
Wyatt Harris
If it weren’t for actual musicians playing their instruments, you wouldn’t have any samples to steal, talentless faggot
Carson Murphy
>talentless faggot lmao the irony of you using this phrase to describe anyone will, of course, be completely lost on you
Leo Nelson
>hello, is this digits of truth department i'd like to report some based activity
>playing guitar lol holy shit what year is this? 1992 was 30 years ago dad
Brayden Richardson
why the fuck am i so bad at learning tabs? i take one of the easiest sounding songs, listen to it while reading the tab with my guitar in hand and it sounds completely fucking off and i dont know what to do. why am i so shit fuck
Landon Barnes
Most tabs are transcribed by 3rd graders are completely wrong, that’s why. Use your ears and common sense, instead.
Aiden Hernandez
t. sour grapes
Nathan Howard
ear training is even more frustrating. do you guys really just sit and listen to youtube recordings over and over and over again and just guess at notes until it sounds right? am i just retarded? its been three years and it hasnt gotten any easier
Evan Phillips
your problem is you don't ever play, you keep looking for shortcuts that don't involve playing. pick up your guitar and play a note. then play the Jurassic Park theme song starting on that note
Dominic Ward
You will get there if you persist. I don’t get the current generation (I’m millennial btw). You want things delivered to you asap and want to apply as little effort as possible. It’s far more rewarding to figure something out on your own, and playing it for the first time. The feeling that you nailed it is one of the best, because that’s the fruit of your hard work. Yeah, we sit around with guitar in hand and work hard.
Josiah Edwards
not that user, but visualization... imagine seeing the fretboard in your mind, pressing down on notes, and hearing the tone. do scales in bed as you fall asleep. visualize the fretboard when you hear a tone/song and try to locate it in your mind. accuracy doesn't matter, it's more about repetition and conditioning. your body probably already has a lot of the muscle memory and can subconsciously fill the gaps when you consciously apply it.
I gave you all the tools you need. The workflow would be like this:
1. Choose a track you like 2. Separate the stems 3. load the guitar stem in an app, that lets you repeat and slow down 4. start figuring out the first notes, and the rest will be easy
America in a nutshell. I overdosed on energy drinks once and now I’m hypersensitive to caffeine. Nice ambient tune, no wonder you need so much, I’m dosing off.
Aiden Hill
thanks

>Been playing guitar for 17 years now >Have never even begun to research what the numbers on the strings mean and always buy Ernie Ball orange ones Am I a retard or what should I be looking out for when buying strings lol
Oliver Mitchell
I don't think having a guitar stashed in the corner of your room constitutes "playing"
Samuel Peterson
I started with classical, there I know more about strings. Electric is fun but I've never even bothered to look at strings. I don't even know what humbuckers actually do and why some people obsess over them. But I play and record pretty much daily. I'm thinking of researching now since I'm on the verge of recording some tracks and have wondered if I could sound better with better strings
John Diaz
I play since I remember 9 - 42 or 9-46 (fat bottom). I also play in standard tuning or E flat. This is the perfect size, IMO. If you want to play lower you need thicker strings. The pink EB package.
James Nguyen
Newer strings always sound better. Humbuckers have two coils, one of which is reverse-wound. That way any hum gets canceled out.
Mason Richardson
any day 4chins post a pic of john sykes is a good day! Happy Easter!!!
Alexander Johnson
Happy Easter! Yeah he’s a heavy hitter. Listen to his stuff on Tygers of Pang Tang, you’ll be amazed.
Connor Sanders
nice haul but i prefer the Orange Creamsicle flavor when I rip it
Bentley Barnes
i have a long time ago. He's my number one greatest "lead singing-guitarist" of all time. He shits all over eric crapton and hendrix in that department imho.
Lincoln Walker
does anyone know where I can get justin's guitar app full version mod? The latest one I can find is for 2.1.5, current version is 3.1.4. Or any similar apps
