I like Oasis and I think Noel Gallagher is a cool guy in many ways, but as a Millennial I have to say, people like Harry Styles, Dominic Fike, Rihanna, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Olivia Rodrigo are so much better than the pop artists I had growing up. I thought there was an unwritten rule that pop stars were required to only make really horrible music. Regardless of how much effort Styles has to put in, he makes legitimately good pop music. A lot of his singles literally sound like 70s glam rock, which I love. When it comes to zoomers, mumble/soundcloud rap is dogshit, but a lot of the pop music going right now is great, plus there are tons of great rappers in the indie world. There are actually lots of great indie rock bands too, you just have to know where to look.
