I liked the song, but it could have been better. The writers should have gone with a more grim, noisy type of music to suit Spinel's emotional distress and misanthropy, like doom/sludge metal. Something like this:

The staff for Spongebob got the band Pantera to do music for an episode, so I don't see why other shows don't do it when the precedent is there.
