Things only you read and liked
This looks like something I would pick up if I saw it at a store. What's it like?
It's like Hanselmann's stuff but more surreal and less focused on drugs
Wrong. I love that comic
Nice, I'll add it to my backburner buy list
good taste
I think it's only available online
These are usually the best threads on Yea Forums. Keep em cumming
the hell? This gets storytimed every other year and is a Fourth World classic
Guess I gotta lurk moar
Decent for one read but not much to return to
Got two issues, pretty great creator lineup IIRC. Was it ever collected? I recall a pretty dark story about a lawyer conning a pedo he's defending into writing a suicide note then killing him
Was close to picking up these from longboxes recently, any good?
It's good. But sadly not as great as Simonson's Thor.
Very few things are
read it and liked it.
Highly recommend beautiful stories for ugly children. A great thing about them too is that all the stories are self contained. So you don't need to read them in any sort of order and you can just read them as you get them
be warned, its barely a comic book and more like prose with some storyboards
I love Major Bummer so much, I recommend it to people as much as I can.
That sounds pretty up my alley, then. A local store had a bunch of cheapo random issues, sounds like I'm hitting them up soon
Satan's Soldier
Not a great ending, but I think I like it more for nostalgia to a younger time in my life
Any good? I have them on wishlist for years
Well, it was Cliffhanger from Image, but most people talked about Battle Chasers and Danger Girl and sadly this one seemed overlooked. It was my favorite of them and many books at the time.
I just bought a complete set of that.
Pretty much DC's Deadpool that never took off... along with predecessor Ambush Bug... who never really took off either.
Yes, great actually
I found him to be obnoxious after a while. He never seemed to develop as a character, never showed interest in the hot dumb girl that was in love with him, and I never cared for time travel in my comics. It was still a fun start and the art was great.
>He never seemed to develop as a character
During the time travel incident you mentioned Lou seemed to do some unwilling self-reflection, and also at other points he seemed to perceive he had personality issues preventing him from achieving even small personal goals, but he was only ever willing to take baby steps and retreated back to his old habits whenever a setback happened. So I get how you mean, but I wouldn't say it's how you said.
>never showed interest in the hot dumb girl that was in love with him
I vaguely recall him picking up her vibe just before the time shenanigans, and in the comic's defense there were a few scenes where he was with his old friends that got it across he didn't see himself different even if others did, he was a loser nobody in his head, hence why he often takes a lot of verbal and physical abuse from others instead of trying to throw his weight around, he'd become conditioned into being passive.
So it sort of makes sense he doesn't immediately grasp that she's genuinely interested and not just being sweet, he'd have to imagine himself worth her time.
Also his future self lets him know he married the blond go-getter because he'd known her longer as a friend and not a superhero, and Val's a little intense due to being spoiled most her life.
Did he ever even appear in anything after he was canceled?
I have it in floppy and the dark horse slackracular edition.
It's pretty popular on Yea Forums lad.
Nah, Arcudi got the rights back.
Tragically no. Damn shame too, reading this threw me back to shows like Project GeeKer, Earthworm Jim and Megas XLR, the sort of shows that could blend comedy, action and even a sprinkle of drama well.
If it at least got a small movie like Gen 13 or something I'd be content, but we're just left high and dry.
I love the part where he dressed up as a hassidic jew in orded to get into the mall where everything is cheaper
I think nobody else I know knows this is even a thing.
I literately read it last month on my Lobo binge, its funny
The start of my undying love for Mahnke
Nice cover
I'm sure I'm not the only one here but still it's a recommendation
