I wanna see Steven after the movie deal with a group of gems who want to see Diamonds punished for their rule. I can already see the big finale, where they've stormed Homeworld and he's finally face to face with their leader.
Steven asks what more they could possibly want from the Diamonds, who are already doing everything in their power to fix what they've done.
Leader says he wants them shattered, he wants them to know what it feels like.
Steven says if he wants a diamond shattered, then he can shatter him.
Leader says that's not fair cause he's not Pink, Pinks already gone.
Stevens all, exactly! Pinks gone, and the Diamonds already know what he's feeling. Asks him in tears why he wants anymore people to die.

Rebecca implied there would be, she didn't specifically say there would be episodes before the timeskip but she did say there are still stories left to be told between Change Your Mind and the movie. The open treasure chest, Bismuth's new reformation, and Jasper's current whereabouts are things that might need flashbacks or pre-timeskip episodes to explain.
