You'll never guess...

Attached: Captain Marvel 010-021.jpg (1192x1833, 717K)

That was dumb.

Now it makes sense: the whole thing about it being a propaganda piece as engineered by Minerva, she sent Ripley to do a piece on her, then gave her a bad rep from the start, signaling her fall from grace. Neat.

All that new character speculation for nothing. Top kek.

Loved it!
>wanting to bring back Mar-Vell
HERESY

Eh, I like it. It works well in the context of the run and not every big reveal needs to tie into the larger continuity.

They probably won't ever bring Mar-Vell fully back but they will still mess with him and it's going to get worst after Starlin dies.

Doctor Strange #19 storytime here:

user meant all the speculators buying #8 and #9 when the actual first appearance was #1

We got so many calls at my store looking for #8...

Three people circlejerking hardly makes for a huge amount of speculation, user.

Thanks Rodstvow!

- The Ewing guy.

having to spell out explicitly her identity in editor's notes is not a sign of good writing, Ms. Thompson-.

I recently started to read this comic. I've been surprisingly liking it so far. The art is also very great imo

>One of the most powerful and beloved
What did she mean by this?
Aw shucks it was that pesky reporter all along.

>military career
you're a fucking ALIEN, bitch
you could rank in different galaxies instead of sampling miserable little Earth

I'm glad she did because otherwise I wouldn't know who that is I thought she was talking about Ripley from Alien.

This demands a lewd edit.

The Supreme Intelligence is dead again?

It's been dead since Black Vortex
Marvel Boy & the Inhumans tried to install a new one but I think that one also got killed by rebels? Or is on the losing side of the civil war, at least

Minerva said she infected Carol with a nanomachine thing, so why can Carol now pull out a golfball sized thing out of her chest to "cure" herself of the power siphoning? Also, couldn't Tony or Dr. Minerva or Kitty Pryde remove that thing before the fight?

Attached: Carol Danvers190.jpg (800x1105, 212K)

The device was established last issue.

The old one is dead but Plex is fine. Of course only Ewing remembers that.

Carolfags are so fucking cringe.

Actually, it's good that you mention this! Part of Ewing's continuity clean-up recently was to address Marvel Boy's attempts to grow a new Supreme Intelligence, and apparently it did work...
And you got ahead of me, I was going to post this page. Good catch.

Death of the Inhumans actually happened in continuity? The ending was half-assed, but didn't a few people like Triton and Maximus actually die?

Part of its shittiness is precisely that it was canon. But frankly nobody fucking knows how many of them actually died. Cates say here that a lot of them died, but in truth it was only a few of those living in Arctilan, and the Universal Inhumans; the ones most people know about are on Earth and didn't even know this took place.

It wasn't even all the universal inhumans. Just the queens and their crew. Most of the deaths came from the ten thousand Inhumans that weren't affiliated with anyone and didn't exist before the mini.

Oh yeah, wasn't Bill a washed up fattie in that series? That was one of the reasons I thought it happened far in the future.

Yeah, he was fat for some reason, hiding in a lifeless planet that was set up in the (first) Cosmic Ghost Rider mini... A planet that was supposed to exist in the past. The point is, it existed outside of this continuity, but the miniseries canonized said planet in 616.
Cates really fucked up with continuity and it's why many weren't certain whether the thing was canon or not, since the planet was allegedly consumed by Galactus at some point while CGR carried baby Thanos around and it's why it looked like a desert in the present. And apparently, it turns out it was CGR who taught 616-Thanos how to fight as a baby, but that's another subject.

We never got explanation why he was like that or why he suddenly stopped right before GOTG. He claimed until the very end of DOTI that he only cared about lockjaw.

Carol sucks

wait, Star is that reporter who popped up in the first issue?

why would they even do that

>You'll never guess...
A literal who.... well yeah absolutely no one would or cared

>I'll draw from millions....

Attached: spirit bomb.png (500x454, 237K)

What was this book about?

Carol eat:s people's life energy?

The fiend! She's a menace!

A menace I tell you!

Star kinda loses points with me because she feels like a mesh of Rogue and Karla.

>one of the most powerful
>in the universe
Come on now. Even Black Bolt and Sentry leave it at galaxy.

Kree are arrogant about their own, I chalked it up as Minerva exaggerating for pride. Plus I don't think she was among those who liked the Inhuman reign.

Honestly it feels like it's half Ewing keeping continuity and half not letting all of Royals get undone by some off screen shit,

Half human, half Kree. That's like... dogshit mixed with strychnine, out there.

Heh. He always comes back. It's no problem at all. Every time he dies he just faked his death.
After all, his intelligence is supreme.

Because this writer is inept.

Minerva trying to cozy up to Carol - vomit-inducing. She would stab herself in the throat before speaking a kind word to an Earthling, let alone grovel before this hybrid.

Of course Minerva doesn't believe that the end don't justify the means, she collaborated witht the Supreme Intelligence "let's genocide billions of Kree and hope the survivors evolve" bomb plan.

The speculators are fucking furious. I read about a guy buying 30 of #8 just to flip it.

Aw, I was hoping she'd make Star suffocate in space or something.

The antagonist's motivation for hating on Carol is really weak in this.

>Carol just causally breaks into her chest and pulls it out
Jesus Fucking Christ, even the comic glances over it like it's embarrassed.

>Double Carolthread week
>Issue was great
Today was a good day

Attached: EDz-G96XYAAs2Fo.jpg (864x1224, 188K)

Great issue! thanks Rodstvow

it's an infection that grows, that's exactly what Minerva was talking about at the beginning of the issue

this arc is turning out great. talking about it with co-workers, they have decided to put it on their pull list too, after reading a couple issues online. Glad sales are doing well.

why the fuck is there SO much speculation again these days?

>Carol eat:s people's life energy?
Of course not
We learned in the Tuesday thread that just eats the people directly

The movies are at their peak and everybody assumes collectors are going to want new character's first appearances once they're introduced in the MCU.

Nanotech is the new Quantum is the new Transistor is the new Radioactive.
Aka it does whatever the writer says.

>Ripley Ryan
......

Karla Sofen wouldve been better

At least now she has more than one blonde female villain

Attached: Carol shocked.png (1225x750, 991K)

June Covington counts as a Carol villain if Karla does.

…Carol & Minn-Erva team-up for Dark Captain Marvel?

Attached: minnvers.png (6000x1200, 2.48M)

Just like most of the book has been filled with callbacks to the Reed run, Carol tearing Kree tech out of somebody's chest to win a fight with an impostor over NYC is too
Putting Karla in to throw back to her own fight would've been weird
