Hope you enjoyed the book. Happy 9/11!

Eh, I’ll give it a shot

So this is DC's response to The Immortal Hulk?

He said the thing!

fucking awesome, this reads a lot like an oldschool horror comic.

This was fun. I'm content. Thanks OP for sharing!

Man, what a dick.

My pleasure

It's just Creature Commandoes in Gotham

Rot or Divided?

This seems odd without Swamp Thing or Solomon Grundy

>I, Vampire
Haha for fuck's sake

Just why?

Surprisingly okay

I can't tell if the writer was dumb or the virus/bacteria was dumb. Humans have pounds of bacteria in them. They should have tried a symbiotic relationship.

The cover says six heroes, so presumably they're dealing someone else in next issue.

Wait what happened to June? Wasn't he smashing her?

Oh, we just had a stoytime with him didn't we?

Did part 2 of that ever get posted or did I miss it?

is this supposed to be an on-going or a mini?

Why is it always a multiverses threat?

huh,I could swear I heard an idea similar to this back in those Orca threads we used to have, do DC writers secretly browse Yea Forums like the CN fellas did?

I kind of hope so. We occasionally have good ideas. Like that Scream Queen shit with Scarecrow

No this is DC's knock off of IH.
And yet again they failed.

I thought the orca waifu was in Blüdhaven

It actually looks like a stealth sequel to Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers.

Orlando is a huge Morrison fan and loves incorporating his story elements and doing stealth sequels

Dope. I'm here for it

>I...Vampire..
i love this corny shit

One-off villain that showed up in the Annual issue of Batman and Robin run after Damian died.

Was the villain in the flashback of Dick's first nights as Robin in Nu52

Better than all the current batman books, so I'll gladly keep reading a few issues and see how it picks up.

Holy shit, Melmoth.

Alright, alright. I’m liking it so far

i despise this gay shit, bringing back niche characters only to kill them

>Multiverse shenanigans again.
I swear, Orlando has only two settings, high concept and gay concept

very obscure, odd choice desu

Given the situation, baby Doll would of been a more apt choice here given she actually was a hotelier and not a mobster

I mean Bloodhaven isn't that far away from Gotham, it wouldn't surprise me if they share a large body of water that Orca could travel back and forth between easily

Thanks for the storytime

>still not drawn sexy
Big mistake dc

Announced as 6 issues, not likely to get extended since orlando is sales poison

Alright, I'll bite. Thank you for sharing, user.

Lower your standards

I know the chances of it happening are basically non-existent, but who would be best to play Frankie in a live action adaptation?

>terrorist psychiatrist
Jesus Christ living in the DCU must be terrifying.
"Why are you getting a new shrink? I thought you liked the guy you were seeing."
"He's holding the mayor hostage."

Damn, Orlando writes a good Frankenstein.

>Tepes
Has the Mad Monk always been related to Dracula?

Someone named Red Phantom

Don't read much from the big two these days but this was nice.

What's the deal with Gotham, Bane is running shit now and there's a part of town with a bunch of animalesque freaks?

Fuck it. Simon Templeman.

Bane and Flashpoint Thomas Wayne have taken over Gotham, and Monstertown's been around for a couple years, but they haven't really done much. Tl;dr is, Dr. Strange released a new mutagenic gas that creates monsters, with the idea that he would swoop in as Batman to save the day. The Bats took him down like usual, but Monstertown's quarantined into the foreseeable future due to the risk of contagion.

>Flashpoint Thomas Wayne

Shit I have been out of it awhile. Thanks for the recap.

No sweat.

thank you for finally helping me pick an internal voice for Frankenstein's dialogue.

Thanks user, I liked it. Helps that I'm a huge Killer Croc fan.

Templeman's pretty perfect for it. Just that right mix of educated and erudite aristocrat, and monster that's capable of immense violence.

I didn't like the part where he gave away his son's shirt, but yeah. Jane nails Punisher.

Jigsaw?

If Arcane or any of the Kingdoms is involved, it would be the Rot, because Melmoth is associated with maggots.

>Didio: Oh No! Immortal Hulk beat Batman!!! BATMAN!! How could this happen? We emasculated Bruce and made him a PTSD Cuck? Shouldn’t people love that?!!!
>Harras: What do we do, sir?!
>Didio: Quick, Let’s copy the Immortal Hulk! What monsters do we have?!!! Someone tell me because I don’t DC’s history nor do I have enough respect to study it!!!
>Intern: You have Frankenstein, Killer Croc, lady Clayface, and-
>Didio: Whatever, Nerd. Just stick them all in a team and call it a day.

Clap. Clap. Clap.

Brava, Didio. Brava.

Yes

So somebody did not forget Seven Soldiers thing actually happened

So many writers are messing around with the multiverse but funnily enough not a lot of writers are actually doing anything with the multiple earths.

Except for Grant Morrison, as usual. Over in Green Lantern, Hal is actively and obviously thirsting after his Earth-11 counterpart, who he thinks is actually Carol, because she's a Star Sapphire.

Frankie's a bitter guy. His father never loved him.

I will always love that Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is canon to the DCU.

Where the fuck is the JLA? When did this monstar jam star happening? Batman???

bump

I thought she had plenty of friends? Like Dick or something honestly I’m a world where serial killers run loose in a city and aliens invasions are are a dime a dozen, why would one woman becoming a killer whale hybrid make her into a complete recluse with a weird attachment to her nephew shit just get conners to create reverse serum or something

weird, I know

yes

Wait Amanda Waller actually keeps her end of the bargain? I thought the "go free" part was bullshit.

Isn't this the opening of Parasite Eve?

she used to all the time back in ostrander's series. Penguin literally did one successful mission with them, and was released

so did Punch and Jewellee. IIRC all of the standing SS members were let go before she went after the Loa.

I love furry

So where’d all these monsters come from? Stuff like this keeps reminding me how ridiculous the dc universe really is

Read Night of the Monster Men. Came out just after Rebirth, but no one's done anything with it until now. It's a pretty good read, I recommend it.

Hey a scare tactics reference....

God what a fag you are

I liked this story. Orlando is kind of turning things around for me. His JLA and Supergirl were weak but I’ve enjoyed his Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and now this.

His Manhunter mini was really good too

what the fuck Gotham has an area where there's just a high concentration of freaks?

Could this go Tarnished Angel?

Monstertown came out of the Night of the Monster Men crossover a couple years back, built on the remains of a Kajuu that died, with the blood tainting the local population.

ditto

This book would be perfect for Ewing.

I hope Orlando does justice to Frank. He has been shit since new 52.

Pretty much. They are aware of the leaks.

Some who can act and get big too.

>Dr. Strange
He is in Gotham now?

Wiki says she is Carol.

HUGO Strange

>Orlando
>writing something that isn't utter garbage

kek, keep dreaming.

>Croc is attempting to go legit now
Lets hope it sticks
With less people bursting on fire, yeah.

Makes no sense why wouldn't they hire Baytor here to run the bar

HA HA TIME FOR ORCA
Maybe the Orca threads will come back so I can finally post this stupid picture

Sounds like maximum diversity hire. I’ll be surprised if she can put sentences together in English.

just do it

She and Dick definitely aren't friends, she was just in his book.

What happened to the run-offs, her actual friends and why she has a weird attachment to her nephew is a different story, answered by "different writers"

I think nighwing's brief appearance actually had her joining a team and becoming valued for her intelligence but This is gotham city monsters, not gotham city super scientists I guess

Lady Clay really feels like the odd woman out in this team.

Isn't Melmoth's plan to save earth from Sheeda by mining mars already failed?

Can't wait for WW to get cancelled under him

Young Justice too.

Hal assumes she's Carol, but she doesn't actually say that she is.
And since she's from Earth-11 (genderbent Earth), it's likely to be Hal

Not to mention it's way funnier if Hal's getting thirsty for his doppleganger.

I'm such a slut for weird teams. I hope this comic is successful, and well written

He was in the animated movie Batman Bad Blood so that's something

Yea Forums cant read

Hope they remember of Killer Croc's borderline cult of homeless people who live in the sewers and think him their protector.

And that Croc went anti-hero in the first place cause of Roy, who was recently killed.

Attached: tumblr_pqw7jnXEjJ1r1x1ox_1280.jpg (1280x1588, 478K)

Because Ennis would throw a hissy fit due to somebody else using his pet characters.

>muh headcanon

Wasn't that Abomination?

I expect a five page, handwritten letter of apology on my desk next month, when I'm proven right. It's Earth-11, the gender-swap universe. Think about it for five minutes. There's no reason to think that's Carol, aside from Hal's assumption, and Hal's an idiot, so...

The Hulk villain has a sewer society too???

If you wanna get technical, the whole 'freak that can't live in society decides to form his own' was first really used with the Morlocks, in X-Men.

I remember there was a time when he lived on the sewers and was friends with a bunch of hobos.

bump

This

Yes

Orca is back?
