>that time Danny Phantom flat-out ripped off the Infinity Gauntlet, assuming that the general public would be unaware of this old comic book story that only nerds care about

I guess Butch didn't expect Thanos to become a pop culture icon.

Be honest, did anyone? Especially in the mid 00's.

>object that holds powerful rocks are now all infinite gauntlets
Or it's just a convenient/lazy designe for people to use.

Name 8 other pieces of media that does this that predates Infinity Gauntlet

It was called the Reality Gauntlet and was powered by the Reality Gems.

Dragon ball

This was one of my favorite episodes.

The gauntlet was pretty recognizable in pop culture even before the MCU shit. Sure it wasn't as big as it was now, but most comic book nerds would've recognized it (and Butch Hartman pays homages to comics in general in his stuff)

>have a successful cartoon on TV
>play homage to a popular comic book event
>get called a “rip off” by some turd on the internet

Homage involves some kind of commentary. You can't just steal shit and call it homage.

Butch should have called it the Dumb Infinity Gauntlet.

And still did a better job than the MCU.

Parody, then

Correction:
>get called a "rip off" by some turd on the internet twenty years later, after the material it pays homage to was popularized in a movie.

They ripped off Doctor Doom origin too.

It was a reference/homage dumbass

Comic books are not obscure, people have always known what the infinity gauntlet was

It was about as much an homage as Sonichu.

>using Yea Forums when this episode premieres
>come to make positive post about it
>get called a nigger

>DCuck in Danny Phantom thread
Sad.

assuming that the general public would be unaware of this old comic book story that only nerds care about

They were right

I wasn't as into comics as I am now, but I knew a hell of a lot more than most people did back then, and I knew nothing about Thanos or the Infinity Gauntlet.

Were the stones Gost Zone or honest to god magic? Follow up question, was there magic in Danny phantom?

>Anyone that criticizes MCU is automatically DC.
You fucking retard.

>Further proving my point.
It's hilarious

No you're a company wars faggot.
Fuck off.

>Still pretending
Ha

That’s completely different.
You don’t need an apparatus (glove shaped or otherwise) to use them.
You can only use all seven at once, no points for almost having them all.
Dragon Balls tend to have more rules and restrictions, like you only get one wish, sometimes three depending on the set, they scatter themselves after being used, and aside from the Black Star balls (which have their own special rule) they turn into regular stone orbs afterwards until they recharge, so you can’t look for them until they’re ready again.

nope.

this, I used to be a manga only weeb and even I knew about the stones

it's called a PARODY you fucking dip

It's called an homage, you fucking idiot.
