He came by in... I think the first thread? Maybe the second. He was flattered by the warm reception, liked the fanart (it hadn't quite reached degeneracy at that point) and when told that there are likely hundreds of people on the board right this second that want to viciously fuck Emmy, said that he is well aware of what the internet does with cute characters like her.

I doubt he sees these threads as some kind of motivator. He's simply been working on the project for the better part of the past 4 months, so he's still in that excited phase of working on a new thing.
It's probably going to be a book, or possibly a webcomic. It's not clear yet, but until he clarifies what he plans to make out of all this, we can enjoy the him feeling out the ideas in comics and concept art.
