There is no question: butterbeer
Best ice cream
ITT kino hotels
Beer fest sound fun, forty different types of beer
My dream is to stay in the Contemporary and be able to hop on the monorail whenever the park crowds get overwhelming to get taken to my room. sigh
Wow no one told him he's supposed to do this at Magic Kingdom
Accidentally conked the Jungle Cruise lady on the head with my elbow lads
name a prettier drink
Imagine the fool drinking something without buying the cup
Check deals my bro, that's my best advice for Disney
It's surprising how on the cheap you can make a trip
dole whip has natural stuff like fruit in it. they're trying to be healthy
Basically had sex
Congrats you're no longer an incel
What did she do after you clocked her?
what is it like eating breakfast in the contemporary? Did you get to eat mickey waffles?
I apologized, she forgave me and then we both continued what we were doing.
Was she cute?
Yeah.
nice
Not sure you can ever do a All Star hotel at anything approaching a budget price. Even with Vacation club reselling.
IIRC yes, but it was a long time ago
Best place for Mickey Waffles though is the Counter Service at Wilderness Lodge, down below toward the back of the hotel past the Lobby and Whispering Canyon
In-park, that would be Sleepy Hollow at Liberty Square in MK
Neat for the novelty but I was a bit dissapointed that it was just a fruit soda. Should have made it a ginger beer or something with a bit of spice to it.
>tfw your boyfriend will never propose to you in front of the castle and then later the two of you go get rowdy drunk at Be Our Guest to celebrate
Feels bad.
Yeah it's $9 too just to throw baking soda in orange soda. Huge disappointment
>dat feel after the night show which ends with so many fireworks you can feel the airpressure pushing on your chest, then you've that 25 minute walk out the park in an insane crowd
My friend took me there to get some and told me you get the cup for free. The bartender was female and said No you don't get it for free. She had a male bartender before and he must have liked her.
... Guess I stole from Moes then...
>10/10 theming
>Massive pool with lots of shit to do
>Great food
>Can ride boats to EPCOT or HS
>Can walk right into EPCOT from the hotel
Probably the best hotel on property
>ride boats
Sounds slow
Are the rooms still the same "two kingsize beds, bathroom opposite an open wardrobe" though?
Kinda irritates me that from the cheapest hotel, to the most expensive in Florida, the standard rooms are all the same, just with different decorations.
I saw a video on the Key West hotel and the rooms were massive.
Man just talk to Disney staff and they'll recommend a location and get one of their own photographers to take a decent pic.
Had a look at the costs for a 'magical' engagement, like the ones where a musical suddenly happens around you. $10,000 starting price. Ouch.
They're making a Star Wars hotel
Huh, neat they do actually have unique layouts. It was designed for Vacation club members which probably explains why they didn't go with cookie cutter standard rooms.
So can you go to the parks while staying there or nah?
Even if I could afford that, not sure I could take a weekend of unescapable roleplaying and I wouldn't want to risk it with kids (wtf do you do if they hate it?).
Plus you're trapped there apart from your one 'excursion' .
>Had a look at the costs for a 'magical' engagement, like the ones where a musical suddenly happens around you. $10,000 starting price. Ouch.
For only $400,000 an hour you can rent out the entirety of the Magic Kingdom, that'd be the way to do it if you had the money.
You get one trip 'down to the planet' where you board a shuttle craft and it takes you to Galaxy's Edge. No idea if you're limited to Star Wars Land, if you spend a full EMH day as Disneyland or what.
Yeah they're really cute and comfortable and quiet.
I'm surprised a celebrity has never done this
How does that work out, do you do it from Closing time or something?
They have.
From what I understand it's either early morning or yeah at closing time. They really, really don't want to do it during peak hours of course (I think you still can but it's an additional charge, like double the price or something, I forget).
I think major celebrities get handlers who control crowds around them and let them skip queues and stuff.
Also occasionally they'll give celebrities the room inside the castle.
Really? Who?
Kanye, the Kardashians, Robert Downey Jr., Schwarzenegger, Paul McCartney many years ago. Some female pop singer recently who I forgot her name because she wasn't a really big name one but yeah it happens all the time, you just dont hear about it cause the celebrities don't want people to know (for obvious reasons).
Was kinda suprised at how badly they handed Kong breaking down when I went on it given it apparently happens all the time.
Vehicle didn't move when a sequence ended. Then all the lights turned off, sat in darkness for 10-15 minutes with no announcements, a few lights came on when some people started trying to climb out of the car and a few minutes later they wheeled out the evacuation stairs.
Oh also Johnny Depp and Celine Dion from the few others I can recall.
I did it a couple times as a kid. It was great. One of the few vacations I did with my mom. As I got older we just didn't have the time... She really wanted to do a vacation to disney for a couple days- she loved the world showcase at epcot and the Contemporary hotel. (It was between that or a long weekend at a good beach).
She passed suddenly and now I can't help but remember all the Disney stories she had from the times she had there while dating the guys involved in actually developing Epcot and the business backers that had the behind the scenes access.
What does Yea Forums think of the upcoming Nick theme park in Jersey?
>in Jersey
eww
Wow that is such an awesome story. Disney really has created great memories that last even when our family is gone.
Its not even that great of a ride yet constantly breaks down.
Butterbeer is too fucking expensive. I was at the park today and it was fucking $8.75. That's beyond Disney prices. What a fucking scam.
Dole Whip is $3 cheaper and way fucking better.
how much is it without the cup and with the cup? How much is it frozen and not frozen?
Disney uses cheaper ingredients. Dole juice and soft serve.
I agree that 8.75 is way too much if you don't get a specialty cup
Thats almost thirty dollars for three drinks. dang
Dole Whip is winning big time in the straw poll but I love butterbeer
