I generally enjoyed it, but it seemed to have a hard time picking its demographic, with a lot of the plot clearly written for very young viewers, while the comedy was often more for older viewers. I wish him well, and think he deserves to have something more successful than OK KO, but the show didn't quite gel for me in the final analysis.

He'll still get work on other CN shows due to his connections ad experience. That can be seen in how he helped board for the SU finale and movie. So as far as employment goes he'll be alright.

As for ever getting another television show again, eh. CN seemed to lose faith in his show pretty early on, and it never really grabbed a large, dedicated audience that could justify its continued existence. I don't know if he'll ever consider working on a new project in the future, but if its anything like OK KO, I doubt it'll get picked up or be more successful. So the poor bastard will probably be relegated to simply boarding for other shows for the rest of his career. Which is what he gets for abandoning his webcomic

Yeah, it ended up too meta and self-aware to really catch on with kids, and too juvenile and episodic to be of much interest for older viewers.
Compared to SU, it's quite obvious that OKKO lacks that unique sense of wonder, the beautiful designs or the mystery, even the horror elements.
It's not really bad, but a lesser show that tried to get into a crowded field with its hero theme and quite obviously had to carry all of Ian's ideas for strange episodes he had bouncing around.
So it's a disjointed show with too much going on and not enough happening. Wildly creative, but too random in its execution to ever really become a world to dive into.
Whether one likes Craig of the Creek at all or not, it took some clear lessons from SU in staying accessible for kids, having a set cast and premise it operates within.
It does not veer into esoteric hero relationship nonsense or become confusingly meta. It talks about things children can understand and it grounds itself firmly. No outbreaks of existentialist questioning or episode-long references to abandoned webcomics, for one. Not saying it's great or exciting, but it knows what it wants to be.

He made Enid to kiss Red and have the character he voices step in to say "I Support this."

Then the end of the series, there are clearly two characters that are Enid and Rad's kids.

Why do so many people think it was an agenda he was pushing. Most of the team was LGBT and they established that Enid was bi very early into the series and never made it a big thing at all. Most other shows make same sex relationships such a big deal but in this show she was dating Red casually for like 30% of the series. This says it all really. OK KO was a love letter to animation, a cartoon made for cartoonists. At 29 I've seen enough animation that I totally get the show and loved it to death, the final episode actually made me tear up a little. I think most of the loudest haters for this show are probably in their early teens.
