WELL, MR. BURNS HAD DONE IT

LORD PALMERSTON!

It's amazing how good this episode is without knowing who any of the baseball players are.

that is actually not a bad choice

I think it's because the jokes aren't just "hey look we got all these players" they actually wrote funny jokes involving them.

Yeah it is really up there honestly. I always like Bart The Murderer too.

>"I cannot lose this game. Unless, of course, my nine all-stars fall victim to nine separate misfortunes and are unable to play tomorrow. But that will never happen. Three misfortunes, that's possible. Seven misfortunates, there's an outside chance. But nine misfortunes? I'd like to see that!"

The ending always gets me

Pitt the Elder > POWER GAP > Lord Palmerston

I think I prefer Cape Feare, or Last Exit to Springfield

It has the best Simpsons song as well, Baby on Board a close runner up

THE POWER PLANT HAD WON IT

Strawberry was such a fucking kissass though. Would’ve let the team fail just to say good work burns after the fact. Fuck strawberry with a rusty spoon.

didn't the joke with Canseco come about because he refused anything that might make fun of him in any way shape or form?

Yea Forums I thought I told you TO SHAVE THOSE SIDEBURNS!

I didn't watch Simpsons till I was in my teens and never understood this episode.

What's base ball?

The only good episode

Well Mister Burns had done it,
The power plant had won it,
With Roger Cleamins clucking all the while.
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile.
While Wade Boggs lay unconcious on the barroom tile... I'm talking sooooftball, from Maine to San Diego, softball, Mattingly and Conseco.
Ken Griffey's grotequely swollen jaw.
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law.
We're talkin' Homer.... Ozzie and the Straw.

WITH ROGER CLEMENS CLUCKING ALL THE WHILE

*blocks your path*

>Celebrity guest stars playing themselves
So zombie Simpsons started in season 3, huh?

this.

Also, the THoH with the Shining

Is that the season with the awful Michael Jackson episode?

Not that good if you arent American. I dont get most of the references.

there little to no references.
its one of the few times where an episode with guest stars was carried by jokes and gags everyone could get, and not by their being stars.
t. italian

best episode is "You Only Move Twice"

I didn't know this scene was in A Milhouse Divided.

I was around 8 when this episode came out and I knew non of the characters. Didn't stop me from laughing and rewatching it over and over again on tape since the JOKES were funny and worked; knowing the characters was just a bonus for the grown ups.

Washing machine goes on the left.

i named my band nine misfortunes after this line

THats not king size Homer

He wasn't playing himself in it, also that episode is certified kino Brooks.

Canseco was always a cunt.

It was supposed to be him screwing Ms Krabbapple but he and wife did not approve

stop right there, criminal scum

that's not Monorail, Homer Bad Man, Bart's Comet, Lisa on Ice, etc.

also Spinal Tap, the episode with three minutes of dead air at the end because they couldn't do any more jokes

my man

I remember a long long time ago listening to the DVD commentary and saying that that all the players where good sports but Canseco was sort of a shitheel.

I think I once heard Wade Boggs say in an interview that this episode is the only reason anyone outside of hardcore baseball fanatics even remember who he is.

He played for the Devil Rays when I grew up in Florida, so I recognize him.

MIKE SCIOSCIA'S TRAGIC ILLNESS MADE US SMILE

I think the singer admits that more people remember his parody version than the original, to the point where they think the parody IS the original.

THREE LITTLE MAIDS AT SCHOOL ARE WE

pass users sure are

WHILE WADE BOGGS LAID UNCONSCIOUS ON THE BARROOM TILE

Would like to add the garbage man can as a nomination for second best musical number after the OP. The whole sanitation commissioner ep was great.
>Are they amphibious?
>Well there's only one way to find out
