Before there was time, before there was anything, there was nothing

So then there was something

Liar.

LESBIANS

Monsters could be classify as a concept.

Back into your hole, Muto.

Why do people hype this scene so damn much? It's really tiny in a mediocre show. Is it because AT was so mediocre and everyone was hungover from the rap party to give a fuck about the series finale?

All the Ron Perlman speeches are fantastic (although they get progressively weaker with each delivery)

also too bad this shit was never touched upon again (outside of Orgalorg I guess)

There's a lot of shit they dropped the ball on
Especially the shit seasons when the team started putting their relationship issues into it

>All the Ron Perlman speeches are fantastic (although they get progressively weaker with each delivery)
More that anything voice acted by Ron Perlman is amazing. He's always been a great actor when delivering lines. Sadly, the Lich should have had a one-and-done appearance rather than comeback as many times as he did. Less of a threat and more of a half-ass plot device.

AT has a lot of really cool concepts and small moments that can fool you into thinking its worth watching all the way through

Ron Perlman also took the blue pill really hard and spends his free time screaming ORANGE MAN BAD which is fucking gay and annoying

i definitely approve of this thread

but instead of an AT thread, can we instead have a discussion about eldritch monsters in Yea Forums media?

>Why do people hype this scene so damn much?

Because it's basically Lovecraftian writing for kids. (forces too large, too powerful and too scary for any normal being to even comprehend)

Separate the character from the person user. That is what I do. Yes, Perlman is a Hollywood faggot screaming about how bad Trump is when Obama and past presidents are mostly dismissed by the general public is nothing but pathetic. His viewpoints won't make me dislike his acting abilities.

2016 was three years ago. It's time that people moved on. Especially when Trump is re-elected in 2020.

City of Lost Children is still my favorite Perlman performance but I never wanna meet him after discovering his faggotry

>Villain voiced by Ron Perlman
>Delivers a mindbreaking speech to a hated, blond haired, male politician
>The same politician that stole Princess Bubblegum's leadership position from her (HER TURN!)

Most "celebrities" are like that. Doesn't matter if you're referring to actors, musicians, sports athletes, politics, or etc. It is even worse since 2016's election results as everyone has to voice their opinion that is RIGHT.

I don't care what musician or actor thinks of today's current political situation. In fact, those people need to shut up and go back to whatever made them popular rather than continue to speak about politics.

Ron's probably a decent guy as long as you avoid certain topics. Like most people, you have to not discuss emotional interests or else shit hits the fictional fan.

Nigga is crazy about it tho
Go check out his twitter comments and check how many tweets are about DRUMPF and how many are about movies

Gold Stars came out in 2015

>In fact, those people need to shut up and go back to whatever made them popular rather than continue to speak about politics.

I would agree with you if a TV celebrity weren't currently sitting in the white house. "I'm not a politician" was literally part of the campaign's appeal. Can't be surprised when other celebrities weigh in on current events.

Name your favorite eldritch horror

>a rainbow

That image is retarded. The "spectrum" that you spectrums imagine is actually the result of a complex combinations of axes, most people have very strong opinions about, but don't necessarily align with the canonical answers of what the "left" and the "right" have aligned to.

"Left" and "Right" has always been a matter of "what does popular opinion say." They have never been pure ideologies.

I'd say pic related for one is an eldritch god. One that, for some reason, helps humans, somewhat like the Nodens.

Makes you wonder how many celebrities are actually whinging about politics and how many are just testing the waters for their own possible election campaign

I'll take your word on it. I haven't used any social media since mid-2017. Deleted Facebook, Twitter, and anything else due to how stupid shit was.

>I would agree with you if a TV celebrity weren't currently sitting in the white house.
Fair enough. I'm old enough to remember when Trump was talking about politics in the early 90's. If it wasn't for his reality show a few years back, I would wager that most people would only have a rough knowledge over the man.

A lot make comments about it. Here's the thing, those people like Oprah, the Rock, and others who are against Trump won't have any chances due to how splintered the Democrats are.

>You're technically correct, the best kind of correct Star!

Wasteland style....

I agree the image is retarded as you're right over how simple it when you cannot define politics to just the left or right. Yet, it proves a point to how the general public views politics and how politics actually one for everyone.

What other Yea Forums celebrities turned into raging faggots?
Yea Forums has those cucks over at Viz
Tara Strong maybe?

Please. I love that shit. Hellboy can only do so much for my need for more eldritch horror.

Yeah, but the impact is lessened later own when we meet one of those eldritch horrors, and his voice is whiny as fuck

> It's really tiny in a mediocre show.
You said it, I really enjoyed the random grim and dark moments in the show.

> too bad this shit was never touched upon again
Sadly you can say the same to many AT concepts, like prizo's boss.

a concept is still something.

bump

>mediocre, mediocre, mediocre
You can just come out and say you didn't watch it and dislike it solely based on opinions you heard on Yea Forums, nobody will be surprised.

>So then there was something
>Liar.
What are you talking about? The sequence was:
Monsters -> Nothing -> Current World
He didn't say "there was simultaneously nothing and monsters."

Attached: wheel.jpg (1532x2029, 623K)

Dream is not eldritch, he is just an idea.

Attached: litterallyme.png (396x820, 788K)

It says before there was nothing, not when there was something

Attached: _ANGRY_ELDRITCH_NOISES_.gif (531x358, 223K)

Reminds me of the start of Devilman

Monsters weren't something nor nothing, so they escape from the concept we got of something and nothing. Is it really that hard to get?

why are they lemon monsters?

>Monsters weren't something nor nothing
No, monsters are something.
The reason there's nothing wrong with what he says in that scene is because the monsters were around *BEFORE* nothing. He never says there was both nothing and monsters together.

PS: I went ahead and constructed a diagram so you can visualize the Lich's narrativization here.

>there were monsters
You mean real monsters, right?
