The young king of a declining Empire is haunted by the phantoms of his disdainful ancestors. He tries to spark a nationalist movement among his hopeless, despairing, vengeful people. His plan: recruit and rehabilitate exceptional criminals and lawmen to play the parts of national heroes and agents of old world chivalry and spectacle. The situation steadily degenerates.
Also, I'd be surprised if you recognized the art style. This is the first time I've ever made something to be consumed. Perhaps you've seen me posting my stuff before? I've been at it for a year.
It feels like a vague memory from long ago so it's unlike. I think it's something about the clothe's designs and the teeth. The first thing that comes to mind is Courage the Cowarly Dog for some reason.
Xavier Flores
I have been told I have a late 90s early 2000s style. I lean into it more as the comic goes on, I think. All eyes and teeth, you know?
This looks straight out of a call of cthulhu campaign. And don't think I didn't see that cute ghost.
Christopher Garcia
The teeth are what make it desu. You didnt waste any time getting into the characters and action either, not bad.
Ryder Murphy
Great webcomic so far, so im glad you are storytiming.
If anything sometimes I feel it is too ambitious and I dread you wont finish it.
Jack Jenkins
Ok, this made me chuckle.
Ayden Flores
It is definitely way too ambitious, especially since it is my first project of its kind. That said, I know when and where it ends, and--presently--I am wholly committed to finishing it. I have big ambitions when it comes to this world.
Gotta say, so far I'm not invested, but I am very interested and impressed. We are not even 40 pages in and this is very enjoyable.
Really love the framing here. From the dull tones on the orc to indicate that he's out and he pops out of the panel to give a better perspective, to the way the obscured guy is barely vidible in the first panel only to be revealed by the light in the second.
I actually feel bad for baldie. Guy is just trying to deliver JUSTICE and uphold the law.
Caleb Ross
>I finished the first chapter of a comic recently, and I'd like to share it with you. Just wanna make sure I’m understanding this right, by “I finished” you’re saying that “I finished CREATING the first chapter”, as opposed to “I finished READING the first chapter”? Because if you did make this: great fucking job man. LOVE this art, especially the expressions.
Dominic Edwards
Thats what he gets for not reading the synopsis of the story before entering the scene.
Charles Sanchez
Yes, I should have clarified that I finished creating this comic. I'm thrilled to hear you like it!
Btw, OP, I changed my mind. You can consider me invested this shit was primo. I was planning to go to sleep like an hour ago, but this was too good.
From the dialogue, to the colors, the artsyle, the composition, the action, and even the smaller things like the different speech frames for each character.
Thanks for sharing, what a entertaining read. One last thing. Frosty is without a doubt the final boss, just look at that short semen demon.
Consider me interested. The art could use improvement on some technical levels but the worldbuilding, designs, and characters are all pretty solid so far. Also, despite some of the technical flaws there's a lot of aspects I like about the art, especially the action scenes and the framing.
no one paid attention to you so you come to Yea Forums right? there is no other reason to be here.
Gavin Green
I started a comic once only because I wanted to see threads on Yea Forums about it, despite it barely being a real audience. It was retarded but inspiration is always welcome.
Bentley Sullivan
>starts a comic >"why is Yea Forums not speaking about the comic of a literal nobody?!" >makes his own thread
that was retarded dude, and you know it. we have this kind of threads by artist who refuse to go to /ic/ (mostly because the would get eaten alive) every week.
Jonathan Wood
Oh im not OP. I never finished that. What I mean is that sometimes making a thread to share your stuff with Yea Forums is motivation and reason enough and not just a last attempt because your stuff aint famous. For me storytiming my comic here would be THE objective.
Is it a dumb reason to create something? Sure, there is no real audience here. But at least for me, just being inspired is a lot, plus seeing reactions of the anons I interact with.
Cant tell if any of this relates to OP though, might be as you said.
Matthew Myers
Reminds me a bit of Nashandra for some reason.
Juan Rivera
I love that scream effect, very nicely done
Adrian Campbell
God forbid we talk about a comic on Yea Forums. Who cares if the artist is shilling or not its a good product, if it was shit I would agree with you but this has clear passion put into it.
