how's your schizophrenia today? did you do any more deep cuts on your body anywhere?
Caleb Moore
It's just low swinging fruit for playing leads. There's cool blues based stuff. idk that pretending to be Albert King is it though.
Jackson Long
blues is gross and dumb
Grayson Wilson
>asking a brazilian this lmao you'll learn
Juan Diaz
Guy that was getting a twin reverb for cheap a little while back here. I got it. Yes I'll use it at home Yes I'll haul its fat ass to gigs, probably with a case too.
It's a pretty nice amp. That is all.
Ryan Foster
there's no such thing as a 'nice' amp. the concept of a 'guitar amplifier' is totally outdated and retarded, when you actually think about it.
At $600 I'd consider either waiting for a sale on Mexican Fenders or shopping around for a used one, looking at GC's site they seem to have a lot in the $5-600 range in nice condition including a decent number of HSS Strats and maybe there's one in your area.
Nicholas Flores
you posted the best Guitar Moves, 70 percent of them suck because the dudes aren't cool
Jackson Cook
>buying a shitplank online lmao classic n/gg/mi post
Samuel Allen
best is annie clark
David Rogers
>bran-dead screen zombies and their retarded youtube time sinks if only you could play guitar amirite
I meant check the site to see what local stores have and then go look at it. I'd never buy a sub-1k guitar online unless it was insanely cheap to the point that I could justify either writing it off or paying my luthier a couple hundred to unfuck it.
I'm the best player on /gg/ and have proved it multiple times. that isn't a great accomplishment either but /gg/ includes you
Connor Morgan
he's a shitposter. you didn't have to defend yourself.
Lucas Myers
talk about theory or post playing
Evan James
>implying he was wrong People here really don't blindly buy guitars online do they?
Chase Baker
Another thought, and this is kind of an oddball love it or hate it kind of option, but it might be worth looking at Gretsch. They've got a really good rep for bang for the buck and I see that their solid body Electromatic series are just under 600 with a hardtail, and they're really versatile guitars that can do both single coil and humbucker sorts of sounds pretty well. Most guitar stores seem to carry at least a few of them too, since they're distributed through Fender.
Luke Taylor
lmfao welcome to /gg/ you'll learn
Eli Sanchez
Can you at least provide examples of Gretsches used for "metal and heavy stuff"?
Jonathan Taylor
kek
Luke Perry
They're actually really good hard rock guitars, the most prominent example of a band using them is probably AC/DC and they can do pretty well at anything in the whole hard rock - hair metal - nu-metal spectrum imo. They're probably not as well suited to really grindy grungy metal if that's your focus but they're not abjectly horrible either and would probably be fine as a learner/practice guitar if you want to explore a variety of styles that includes really heavy stuff. IMO I think it's somewhat fair to think of them as an alternative to HH solid body Gibsons but with the ability to stretch into jangly single coil stuff halfway decently if you want to.
I suggested them more because they're good versatile guitars for the money and because that user said he didn't want to constrain himself rather than specifically for heavy stuff though.
Hunter Long
Hmm why is the books link replaced with a marvin gaye & tammi terrell duet, also please fix the mega links, can't make a new one or any alternatives to access the books? Anybody got copies they can upload to file hosting websites?
Benjamin Williams
epiphone les pauls have coil splitting now and cost 500
Chase Wright
What's wrong with buying online? if they took photos of the guitar and it's new there shouldn't be any problems if you get it set up afterwards right?
Hudson Russell
Do you think if I splurge an extra $80 (so $680 total) for a PRS SE 254 Standard, will I notice much difference over the LTD EC-256? No coil split on this one, but at least it's a big boy and not a "budget" line any more (or is it)?
Yeah, this time I want to buy new and locally though after trying it out. I'm aware buying new is a sucker tax, but I want to be sure that if anyone fucks with it it's only me. And just to see what's expected of a guitar out of the box, rather than getting some stoner's grimy sloppy seconds.
Thanks, will watch the whole thing later.
I saw them, actually there are a couple available locally but I'm not ready to go off the deep end like this yet. I'm still mentally a giddy sweaty handed teenager getting his first (real) axe so I'll stick to something more "mainstream". Plus if my imaginary black metal project ever comes to be then I'd be piss bottled off the stage if I showed with one kek. I'll definitely give it a try when I'm at the store though, I've actually been kinda intrigued for a while by how different they might feel or sound desu.
honestly nothing is wrong with buying a bolt on solid body online. when you go try out 15 stratocasters at guitar center, you're basically gonna figure out which one came out of the factory with the best setup, not which one is the best. you can dial in a bolt on guitar but a set neck or acoustic you can only do so much if it's a dud
Michael Perez
Consistency is the biggest problem with lower-end guitars and two seemingly identical examples of the same model of guitar can feel and sound completely different. It's always worth trying as many examples of the model you want as you can find, because it can make the difference between getting a $600 guitar that feels like a $1500 one and getting an irredeemable shitplank. Order online and you lose that option.
Isaiah Hall
like i just said that one that feels like shit just needs a truss rod adjustment or something 99 percent of the time. Fender doesn't set their shit up carefully they churn them out fast as hell, shops don't set them up either they just unbox and hang them up
Xavier Robinson
>and because that user said he didn't want to constrain himself rather than specifically for heavy stuff though. Just want to say I appreciate you reading my post and your consideration in giving various succession. Thanks, user.
Josiah Lopez
>when you go try out 15 stratocasters at guitar center, you're basically gonna figure out which one came out of the factory with the best setup, not which one is the best. I think that's true with American Fenders and to some degree Mexican ones, but not as much with Asian-made guitar. (Other than Japanese.) When you buy a Chinese, Indonesian, some Korean, etc. guitar you're getting the product of a massive supply chain with multiple subcontractors for every part, and for example one Squier's pickups may have been made by a completely different factory from the identical guitar next to it on the rack, or one will have been made out of a much better piece of wood than the other, or whatever, and there can be huge variation in how they sound.
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my private classical guitar class, and I've been involved in numerous underground gigs, and I have over 300 confirmed riffs. I am trained in pedal chaining and I'm the top guitarist in the entire shoegaze scene. You are nothing to me but just another critic. I will deafen you the fuck out with loudness the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my fellow shoegazers across the UK and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little things you call your eardrums. You're fucking deaf, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can give you tinnitus in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my Yamaha FX-500. Not only am I extensively trained in ethereal singing, but I have access to the entire guitar and pedals arsenal of the local pawn shop and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ears off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit reverb all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking deaf, kiddo.
James Robinson
At this point I'm positive there's no first worlders left who bother posting here anymore, it's wall to wall Brazilians and Yugoslavians now.
Jayden Thompson
Does anyone know if squire classic vibe quality control has gone down since the switch to Indonesia?
