>design has nothing to do with mind powers
>name has nothing to do with mind powers
>personality has nothing to do with mind powers
At least Emma have a whole mind/body domination theme going for her
Design has nothing to do with mind powers
>Yea Forums is so obsessed with SU they ignore a chance to shit on Jean
it's hard to believe honestly
maybe something on the theme of self-restraint would fit her, considering the whole phoenix business
wouldn't it be cute if she incorporated chains or locks in her design? like, the moment she goes Phoenix the chains break
That's Rachel
Believe In Steven
>design has nothing to do with mind powers
>name has nothing to do with mind powers
>personality has nothing to do with mind powers
Maybe she going with the mind trickery or magician feel.
Rachel is spikes. But yeah, it would probably fit her better
sounds nice
This is a ridiculous set of complaints.
1) that's not her original costume (tho a case may be made that her first was actually a *uniform*).
2) Mentalist-types are often referred to as "Marvels".
3) Wat.
1) well yeah, this her first actual costume, and it does a very bad job at showcasing her theme/power/personality.
Just look at her and try too guess her powers.
>2) Mentalist-types are often referred to as "Marvels"
you are making stuff up
>3) Wat
What is so hard to understand here? Look at Cyclops and Storm, their powers are highly destructive and hard to control, which goes along well with their more reserved personalities. Or look at Rogue, who is very flirty despite draining life with a touch. All this characters have a correlation between their power and personality, while Jean has none. Hell, Bendis did a better job with it. His teen Jean was a manipulative bitch, and it made sense since mind powers corrupt easily.
i love skullgirls designs
) Mentalist-types are often referred to as "Marvels"
>you are making stuff up
He's not. It's Vaudville/sideshow slang.
huh, my mistake
>3) Wat.
INDEED
emma frost
>doesn't have ice powers
THIS
she can turn into diamond. close enough
Rachel has always and will always be better than Jean. A shame she's always shit on by any writer who isn't Claremont
>literally creator's fuck toy
Why is Yea Forums si threatened by powerful women
omg yeah, Jean is so powerful and badass and fierce i cant even
Why are you such a faggot?
>design has nothing to do with mind powers
>personality has nothing to do with mind powers
Neither of these are necessary.
>name has nothing to do with mind powers
That I'll give you.
these points are something that makes a good character design
Holy shit who are the hacks who commited this?
her creators
Ignoring the 60s dialog, that could actually be pretty cool scene if she's running fast enough over some nasty terrain. Maybe something like a fallen TV tower
>wouldn't it be cute if she incorporated chains or locks in her design
Those should go to Psylocke
Reminder Kirby drew it and Stan added dialog so it's kinda Stan's fault Jean seems very weak in those issues. Stan kept having men tell Jean what to do. Happened with Sue in FF too
wow she looks really cool here. And she is so unimpressed by the whole situation. Fucking Stan
I always thought that flying was too much for Jean. It would be cool if she just made huge leaps, like picrelated
looks nice
Diamonds aren’t formed in cold temperatures. How is that the same thing?
what the fuck??? she looks the same in 2nd and 3rd panels. and people shit on Greg Land...
She was drawn to be same but if you closely, Her body is more of an incline in the 3rd panel and her knees are closer implying movement between panels.
That's actually nice.
because, genius, diamond look's like ice.
And Diamonds match with emma's aristocratic personality.
>name has nothing to do with mind powers
She has the power to cloud heterosexual mens' minds, like a gray fog.
>name has nothing to do with mind powers
She has the power to cloud heterosexual men's minds, like a gray fog.
She originally had the power to create a "snowy, staticky" miasma in people's minds. Plus, the Frost name went with her white color scheme.
This is why Jean Grey is better when she's just referred to as "Jean Grey"--Hickman's sort of reverting her back to "Marvel Girl" with the costume is yet another reason that I don't particularly like his current X-men run, tho I agree that he's def revitalized the range, and his ideas are at least creative.
I really wanted her to show up in the Legion TV show.
Don't forget.
>Unironically ends up being like 40-60% responsible both for the Dark Age and for everything wrong with comics.
Thanks, you red haired bitch.
Ahem. FUCK Jean Grey, and FUCK the Phoenix.
Yeah they weren't really sure what to do with her
They just needed a girl on the team
Just look at him and try too guess his powers.
>she looks the same in 2nd and 3rd panels. and people shit on Greg Land...
1) No, she doesn't -- those are very different poses
2) People shit on Land cos he *traces from photos* (often porn, which explains the O-face his women have in almost all situations)
"Jean Throw rocks at the dinosaur with your telekinesis!"
"On it!"
(off-panel)"Good, now trip him!"
"Gosh, you have such great ideas!"
"I know! Now loosen my bonds so I can break free!"
"Wow, you're so smart!"
"Haha! He won't mess with *me* again!"
"Oh, Warren, you're soooooo dreamy!"
>steven redeemed Yea Forums
He is truly unstoppable
I think she used to do that, but I can't recall her flying before Phoenix. I would entertain correction, tho.
>I don't like this writer's run because he put one character in their old costume
Are you retarded?
Looking dummy thicc in both panels if that's what you mean
Jean Grey doesn't have anything to do with "people trying to imitate Watchmen & DKR".
