This is a ridiculous set of complaints.
1) that's not her original costume (tho a case may be made that her first was actually a *uniform*).
2) Mentalist-types are often referred to as "Marvels".

What is so hard to understand here? Look at Cyclops and Storm, their powers are highly destructive and hard to control, which goes along well with their more reserved personalities. Or look at Rogue, who is very flirty despite draining life with a touch. All this characters have a correlation between their power and personality, while Jean has none. Hell, Bendis did a better job with it. His teen Jean was a manipulative bitch, and it made sense since mind powers corrupt easily.

Reminder Kirby drew it and Stan added dialog so it's kinda Stan's fault Jean seems very weak in those issues. Stan kept having men tell Jean what to do. Happened with Sue in FF too

She was drawn to be same but if you closely, Her body is more of an incline in the 3rd panel and her knees are closer implying movement between panels.

She originally had the power to create a "snowy, staticky" miasma in people's minds. Plus, the Frost name went with her white color scheme.

This is why Jean Grey is better when she's just referred to as "Jean Grey"--Hickman's sort of reverting her back to "Marvel Girl" with the costume is yet another reason that I don't particularly like his current X-men run, tho I agree that he's def revitalized the range, and his ideas are at least creative.

I really wanted her to show up in the Legion TV show.
