>his aunts are begging him to say
>he basically tells them fuck you

I guess it's because he's a teenager but it still seemed like a dick move since he knew how much he meant to them.

>his aunts have murdered many gems
Steven is being as nice as he can be

When Blue Diamond says "I never shatter" and "I never make anyone cry" she clearly has no idea which of the two is worse, and she's the nice one.

Steve is a cunt faggot

>His aunts clearly want to fuck him
>Escaping the Molesting-Palace fast as he can
I know right?

The diamonds are literally his family though, besides his dad and uncle

they're not the people he's spend his whole life with, that's more significant than a technicality

Nah I figure they shattered her as soon as she told them what happened to protect him, or maybe used another rejuvenator on her.

He must have spent years with them dismantling the empire

Go to Hell, Steven.

2 years to be exact

And that's a good thing!

Good, fuck Spinel

Many gems?

How about hundreds of planets with organic life on them??

> " So, you say you can do 6000 years standing on your head? Well? Go ahead. Show me. "

We guessed as much, Steve.

>dismantling

Well, stopping its expansion anyway. It's not like he can fix the damage they have already done.

movie scale as great as always

Attached: 1567471331674.png (1436x870, 1.07M)

man those first minutes were awful to watch, they barelly moved and felt like a very cheap episode.

I'm beginning to wonder if her storyboarders are doing this on purpose. I would be pass-aggro as possible too if my boss kept blowing the budget on big name celebrity VAs and shafting me out of a decent paycheck.

Imagine how much better the animation in the movie as a whole would've been if they didn't have to spend their budget on expensive celebrities.
Yeah, we wouldn't have gotten Spinel's magnificent voice, but the visuals would've been a more significant step up compared to the regular series.

He just doesn't wanna hang out with his aunt hitler, stalin and mao zedong

The visuals were already a step up, are you blind?

>A few days pass.
>Steven checks on Spinel on Homeworld.
>"Oh my Diamonds here are so wonderful, but hey Steven, can I show you something over here around the corner?... youhavetogetmeoutofhererightnow! ThEy'Re SmOtHeRiNg MeEeEeEe!!!"

>"Yellow Diamond finds me hilarious...like annoyingly so. I'm not even using my best material and she's rolling on the floor with laughter. It's...too easy. How can someone love the 'standing on my head' bit THAT much?"

They're drawing them cuter because they're not space dictators anymore. It's an easy way of endearing the audience to a character, happens all the time in cartoons.

>You remind me so much of her
>You remind me so much of the bitch who abandoned me for 6000 years to the point that I got so angry I tried to kill her son and his planet
so i'm probably late to this discussion, but i don't think spinel just going with the diamonds was a good idea

They're reminded of the good aspects of Pink. We always want to think of people at their best if we don't outright hate them.

I just can't. How did she just stand there like a scarecrow for 6000 years? She's not retarded, she is clearly pretty smart (and seems to have weathered the experience pretty well), yet she never walked away. Or went to look for Pinky, which she evidently could have done at any time.

That is completely unbelievable given her character.

...Also, Steven's message came in, so I guess the channel was open, but there never was a message announcing Pink Diamond being shattered??

>...Also, Steven's message came in, so I guess the channel was open, but there never was a message announcing Pink Diamond being shattered??
Hah. Classic Yearl, always stirring up shit.

Attached: 1461808330582.png (413x369, 74K)

Sounds about right. Spinel tends to be pretty insufferable. Even loony Pink was groaning at her.

Gems are at least partially machines. They perceive and value time differently. The number of years wasn't even the thing that bothered her. It was the realization she had simply been thrown away callously by her living god.

Spinel loves Pink. I think she's more mad at pink for dying than she is being abandoned for 6000 years. Think about it, she waited 6000 years. If Pink just walked into that room and said "hey! Spinel! The game's over, you win" she'd probably forgive everything on the spot.

Good.

>Steven doesn't really cause anyone to change their philosophy.
>He doesn't fix their perspective.
>He doesn't bring them new resources.
>He doesn't work to make them healthier.
>He just insists they get along for the moment.
>His whole concept of peace is to stand still, forever.

He's done all of those things for the Diamonds. I really hope you didn't expect that to be be some major burn.

Besidea the fight scenes, not really. I was really expecting some lighting shots like we had back in season 1, but I guess those are gone forever now.

Spinel would probably be better at Pink's old job (throwing parties and general revelry) than Pink ever was.

The
As a shameful giantess fag, their first song sent me into cold sweats.

Attached: theaudioof14cryingbabiespi.jpg (1127x806, 282K)

>Pink for dying
She didn't die, though. She just became something new.

That's essentially death. Her personality, her thoughts, her memories, everything that made her herself is gone and unrecoverable. That is the concept of death.

> Pink: "Oh Pearl!"
> Pearl: "Yes, my Diamond?"
> Pink: "Has she written back yet?"
> Pearl: "Who?"
> Pink: "Spinel. You know, because I keep sending her these invitations to join us?"
> Pearl: "Oh... OH! Of course. I delivered those myself... Um... just let me check the message queue... and yes. Right here. This is her reply it seems."
> Pink: "Yay! Lemme see! La la la.... oh... huh... well that's... She seems to know a lot more big words than I thought she did... but... I guess it was considerate to fill in so many swears with pounds and ampersands."
> Pearl: "Not joining us? Oh darn. I guess it's just you and me then."
> Pink: "Did she really write this?"
> Pearl: "Oh certainly. I just can't imagine who else could have."
> Pink: "Oh... All this time I thought we were friends."
> Pearl: "Chin up my Diamond. You'll always have me. Always."
> Pink: "Thank you Pearl. I'm glad i can count on you."

If this isn't in season 6 we riot

It reminded me of one of the songs from Urusei Yatsura.

Fod I want to be squeezed betwenn White and Blue's massive breasts so much it hurts, guys

Attached: COMPLETLYERECT.png (619x720, 453K)

Nah, she's as close to personality to Pink Diamond as they remember her, apparently they really need a fun jester like-character around.

>In retirement, the diamonds take up knitting.
>Within a month, every gem on homeworld is wearing a sweater.

I think that she's mad that Pink moved on and had an entire life without her, made new friends, never mentioned her to ANY of them outside of Pearl, and that Pink eventually died and left her forgotten by pretty much everyone.
You're probably right in that she'd immediately forgive Pink if she walked in 6000 years later and said "you win!", though.

>But this is not enough
>Soon, smaller planetary bodies are covered in warm, snug sweaters

And why did she do that? Because Spinel did not exist yet.

Honestly, what is the point of the movie?

Yo, that'd be fucked up.

>"Is that a comet?"
>"Oh wait, no... it's and asteroid with a scarf on."

>entire planets wearing sweaters
That'd be cute if it didn't completely fuck up life on all those planets.

If the thread is substantial enough, they can build cities within the weave.

When all the Diamonds went "but Steven" all in sync, and then started listing out everything the've done that Steven asked it made me feel all hot and bothered.
I can't handle just how thirsty for his human dick those giant space warlords are

Pink Diamond did lots of horrible things she did not tell anybody about, bubbling Bismuth as one example. Is it hard to believe she would do this to Spinel? Man, she really kept Pearl in the dark.

Indeed

They should have approached Greg. He could not have resisted their charms. The real reason Steven won't let them live on Earth.

Yea Forums is obsessed with genetic legacy. Adoptions and found-families are "cucking"

"Look Schtuball, they came on to me. And now you have 3 younger siblings."

>the diamonds want to make the entire galaxy warm and cozy
>start covering planets and other celestial bodies in sweaters and scarves
>the diamonds think it's adorable
>life on the besweatered planets gets out of whack because of blocked out sunlight
>steven as the galactic peacekeeper gets news of the gem empire attacking the galaxy again
>he's distraught and angry as he thinks the diamonds broke their promise to stop conquering other planets
>warps to the diamonds and asks them why the fuck are they attacking other planets again
>they explain that they wanted everyone in the galaxy to be cute and snug and show him the sweaters they've been making for the gems and also the massive sweaters they made to put around the other planets.
>diamonds gush and awe over how cute the galaxy looks now and offer Steven a sweater
>Steven's face when

Pearl adored Pink. Pink didn't want to disappoint her, so she just hid everything negative instead.

Alright Peridot.I'm gonna need you to make a giant pair of scissors.

Pink is more incompetent than cruel. Like a stupid kid instead of admitting they broke a vase they just hid it under the couch or something and hope you never notice. She feels guilty about it but doesn't want to disappoint everyone. It's funny cuz I think the reasons the gems put Rose on such a pedestal was because she hid all of her mistakes and flaws. And she probably did that because they looked up to her so much and was worried how they'd handle it if they found out.

Guess I'll be the one to ask. Which one, Yea Forums?

Seems like Pink was afraid of emotional confrontation. Willing to literally bubble something forever instead of figuring out how to deal with it. Problems piling up, but invisible.

The opposite of Greg, who is willing to act on anything now now now even if he hasn't really got it figured out.

Why not fusion?

What should she have done about Bismuth, dear?

Given her background, I'd say she's hypercompetent. She knew nothing. She had been taught nothing. Everything about her background worked against what she set herself to do. Nobody could help her and nobody would. She was completely alone (except for Pearl, who would follow her no matter what).

I seriously wish people would stop shitting on her. And I hope Sucrose tries to do something good with her in Season 6.

Pink wanted to be happy all the time. Doesn't matter if Yellow or Blue are devastated, she only cares about her own psyché. She wants to live in constant bliss. Confrontation breaks her happiness streak. Pink doesn't want change at the expense of her happiness. It's pretty sick she would rather everyone be happy in their own delusions that address real problems just to preserve happiness.

Pink Diamond doesn't believe she can change, but it is her insistence in how she can't change that makes her unable to change. All other gems are able to change, but Pink stunts herself.

Yellow. That expression, those thighs, uuu

His leaving them was a parallel to Pink leaving Spinel, it keeps happening

while it's still alive, I mean.

At least it seems earth was the first to have sapient life

Out of the Diamonds? Blue.

Blue's the only character in the entire show that I've had unwholesome thoughts about.
Besides like one background gem.

Really not necessary, I bet you think greed is good too

Blue. Demure, patient, understanding, and undeniably sexy.

And you just know that this is exactly what conniving, trifling-ass Pearl would do.

This one.
I think she's supposed to be a Zebra Jasper.

Attached: Unknown_White-Gray_Striped_Gem_by_kyrope.png (768x1024, 125K)

>implying spinel wouldn't use this leverage to grapple to power and enforce numerous new laws

She did it because she wanted to be a good friend. She isn’t like Pearl who was ordered to never talk about something ever again, Spinel’s song about “turning pages for people who don’t care” is that she wanted to be a good friend and do what she was asked, regardless of how she feels, because to her, that’s what a good friend would do.

You clearly don't have an overbearing extended family

This.

Attached: Blue Licks Pink.png (753x652, 242K)

Wouldn't even be that hard. They're basically giving her the throne they offered Steven.

>In an alternate universe, Spinel stayed with Pink.
>She was the one gem that actually helped Greg when Steven was a baby.
>She harmonized with Steven when he sang the cookie cat song.
>She joined Steven and Amy to shake down the Frymans for the bits.

We've seen gems act clingy to each other before, and it was after having been fused for a while. Like how Jasper was stalking Lapis for a while.

>the mistreated commoner becomes the new princess and lives in the palace, happily ever after
this movie was such a fucking fairytale trip

Attached: spinel happy.jpg (1404x1382, 184K)

>Spinel helping be serious during the Serious Steven episode.

>spinel being evaluated as a potential mom in fusion cuisine
>spinel pretending to be greg's wife, only to destroy the entire resturant in a zany shenanigan

Was the part where they opened a fucking fairytale book a clue?

>Spinel and Pearl have a "friendly" rivalry where Pearl tried to dismiss Spinel like she did to Greg and so Spinel is a bit desperate to find a "purpose".
>Pearl is really graceful and powerful so Spinel is desperate to be useful in battle too but she keeps flubbing it up.
>After Pink is dead there's this tension between the two of them and neither of them knows what to say to the other.

Wondering how her appearance would change in this AU. Also betting that her and Amethyst would be real tight.

>Pearl is really graceful and powerful so Spinel is desperate to be useful in battle too but she keeps flubbing it up.
weirdly i think it might be the other way around. spinel would have been around back when pearl didn't know how to swordfight, so she might have been more useful in a fight earlier on than pearl. plus, homeworld snobbery.

Someone needs to start shopping her into episode screenshots.

My God... imagine the Pearl/Spinel fusion

Attached: Hilda_Berg_Intro_Sprite.png (441x689, 200K)

She would probably get a Rose style dress during the war, with star.

Everyone had 80's clothes, so she should be no exception. Shoulder pads would be the more comical option.

Helping with baby Steven might prompt her to evolve a subdued mom mode.

She would have to change in some way during season 1, to reduce semi-transparent elements and reduce the animation budget.

Cosmic power under refined control.

It would be difficult convincing their fusion to ever part.

Someone with amnesia that cant remember his former life IS dead. That man is dead and gone and now there's someone else controlling his body. Hes gone. Everything that made him him is gone. He has no memories or experiences or anything. Hes gone. Hes dead, though his body remains

I was wondering if she'd change her form too. Pearl is kinda the default model so it's hard to link her to pink diamond but Spinel is specifically Pink Diamond's spinel. She'd probably have to disguise herself like rose did.

she could just rotate the gem so her cut isn't 'perfect' anymore

Spinel and Pink had similar costumes, so Spinel may or may not choose to continue doing imitating Rose. Or, she might simply decide it's funnier to become a ninja.

>YOU CAN'T JUST MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER BY POSTING SOME STUPID WOJAK

Attached: 015.png (434x327, 55K)

what would be her cover story? a spinel who didn't need friends?

Maybe it was like when Pearl was ordered to not share any secrets about the shattering? Spinel wasn't able to move up until she heard about how Pink was fucking dead.
Or maybe gems are just THAT loyal for their diamonds idk.

Shad I...

*by posting some stupid SU thread

Sometimes spinels are somewhat mistakenly referred to a rubies. Perhaps Spinel decides to impersonate a tall pink Ruby. Technically spinel aren't quite as hard as rubies are, but they are up there on the hardness scale and are a lot less brittle. The military uses synthetic spinel as artillery resistant glass, as it is basically transparent aluminum.

....that means everyone would call her ruby until s5. including garnet, hilariously

Attached: 1555823621556.png (811x985, 1.11M)

I don't think gems really feel confused by duplicate names, but they might be pissed to realize her identity was false along with Rose.

I mean Garnet literally cannot ask questions even if she wanted to because PD forbade her to.
I'm thinking of it like GER, if he punches you he can manipulate your position in reality any way he pleases, or just erase you from existence.

>spinel putting on a gem minstrel act
a-user

Attached: 1548460941666.png (1242x1033, 329K)

Maybe Spinel would expose her identity much earlier. She could get some emotional moments.

> " I'm not really a Ruby! I'm really a Spinel. I'm not a fighter. I was created to be a friend. This situation is... I'm scared Steven. I want to go home. "

actually, having two rubies would expose the fact that there are multiples of a gem. we weren't supposed to learn that till s2.

still, i like the idea we wouldn't know spinel was for fun until later. that could be her big reveal, like how we didn't know pearl used to be a servant.

>Spinel puts on Vegeta style armor in the 90s but is still fucking goofy
That or something like Rocko's hawaiian shirt would be great

Does she? If so I'm not surprised that Sugar can't keep track of basic character traits

MOMMY WHITE AND MOMMY BLUE SHOULD LOVE ME!

>spinel! did you do something with your hair?

cotton candy garnet asks questions in the show. i think it's a maturity thing

Without being in kamikaze mode like the movie, I think she would opt for softer options. During Steven's infancy, she might be overcome by her instinct to entertain. I can't imagine she could resist a child's laughter.

He doesn't mean shit to them. They don't know him at all. All they want is a surrogate Pink.

Probably, but being forgotten on Homeworld seems better than being forgotten on some shitty garden

>flashback epsiode where Spinel is gently tossing steven in the air

Very plausible as a starting point.

She's reset back to factory settings at that point. ie. before she was programmed to not ask questions. Which I'm still not sure if it's an intentional thing or just one of those things that conveniently seemed to work out that way by chance that people have now latched onto.

Steven is too young to realize what he missed

Oh God no

We haven't seen enough of Pink to know. I imagine Amy is the nearest thing to it, since she would see Rose as more of a mother than a living goddess.

This really does feel like something that could have been solved by Steven promising to visit regularly and he's way too friendly not too.

it's thematic, not literal. once she is sure of herself she becomes close minded

Fans liked her too much. They'll bring her back at some point.

they're 'supposed' to be reformed but still soul sucking narcissists. those people are very tough to be friends with.

What kind of life could Steven even live on Homeworld? It's a hollow, artificial shell that has nothing he was exposed to in his formative years. No donut shop (or any organic food for that matter), no Dogcopter or Lonely Blade movies, no people he can relate to. He could visit, but he wouldn't be able to sustain himself for an extended period and he'd probably go bored out of his mind if he could.

they make the episodes ages in advance. how much more SU do you think there is?

Seems like it would be very easy to warp back and forth daily, but they didn't even give him a whole day on Earth before they showed up wanting to move into the beach house.

during the show he called them his family like 900 times

>pearl tries to dismiss Greg as "just a phase"
>Spinel takes personal offense to this because it's the kinda thing Pearl said to her.
>Spinel makes it her mission to get Greg and Rose together, but by trying to have him do all the things she "thinks" Rose likes, Spinel realizes she doesn't know what Rose likes very well at all.
>Garnet is still the one to push Greg in the right direction.

>they really were just bored

>I mean Garnet literally cannot ask questions even if she wanted to
what the hell are you talking about
this was never an established thing, she's just ultra confident in her decisions and herself so doesn't ask questions often.

At 16, did you want to hang out with your overbearing older sister/aunts when you had the option of hanging out with friends of your maturity level?

I guess if you tell someone that everything they're doing is wrong, it's hard for them to realize the difference levels to it being wrong. Life if you taught someone to not chew with their mouth open or kick dogs.

it's a meme

The question was more specific, as in never questioning the nature of her fusion.

The Answer
"No more questions, you ARE the answer..."
*rose takes garnets hands, and flips them gem down, implying to look away and just accept*

It would have been nea had it not been a movie and instead a season-long arc. Have a mindwiped Spindel stay as an honorary crystal gem while the rest of the gems do their best to maintain the facade and avoiding any potential reminders of the past only for it to come crumbling down. Steven should have regressed back to 14 when Spindel held him above the town.

true and not true.
Steven asks a question (he has PD's gem) and Garnet answers just fine. Pearl asks her a question, she says "I can't."

Indeed, so I think this is more likely.

No doubt Spinel would jam to the Cookie Cat theme.

Her big source of anger seems to be that she was left out, that she meant so little that pink trucked her in to standing still for 6000 years. She’s just really pissed she was ghosted like that.

[cue episode where that lack of respect is addressed in song]
It'd turn into a duet because Spinel is probably as much of a food junkie as Amethyst, with a heavy preference for sweets.

it's not like she needs to tell spinel 'i'm sorry for being mean' she'd just pick her up and go

Hands down my favorite Spinel art so far. Goddamn I want to give her saddle a rattle.

Yes!

strawberry laces, naturally.

i feel like if you were doing a spinel AU you'd need to carefully fit her in so she's not just a duplicate of amethyst. playing up her being a motherly figure vs amy's cool big sister vibe could help.

Unf. Imagine cupping this cheeks as she sits in her lap, smooshing mouth up a little.

I thought that just meant don't question why her fusion came into being.

I don't know that Spinel would eat, but she certainly wouldn't discourage it. TV commercial jingles are of course a given. A cute jingle to Spinel would like Shave and a Haircut to Roger Rabbit. As soon as Steven started to sing, Spinel would appear as if from nowhere.

she ate steven's donuts in the movie.

I think it would make more sense if she's the little sister instead.

maybe that would be her character developement. she stays childlike for aeons but started growing up alongside steven

I kinda disagree. She would miss Rose as much as Pearl. Her purpose is to entertain, but not so much to be entertained. She's essentially a born babysitter.

it's impossible a villain might have a moment of rightness and kindness, that's truly the message of steven universe

>Amethyst is the older sister/teen mom type that barely knows more than Steven.
>Garnet is the stoic father-like type, she takes charge of the trio.
>Pearl is the overbearing mother type, she has seniority but is sidelined by Garnet's leadership qualities.
When we meet Spinel in the movie, she comes across as more of a little sister type. But that's because she has no life experience. If she had been there since the start, she would have been the gem with the absolute most seniority of all. Even if she, like Pearl, was never able to assert herself as a leader due to her personality, she would still have been there for the initial climb of the others and cemented herself as a mentor figure/role model/sempai in their mind.
She would be a mature type.
I just don't quite know what kind.

Pink was not a perfect pork chop, so now she has a hotdog.

>steven calls her mom by mistake like you'd call a teacher mom
>spinel goes into critical meltdown mode

would garnet be as stoic if she didn't have to be the leader and the dependable one?
hell, would spinel be the leader? that's a weird thought.

how does Spinel react to Camp Pining Hearts

Attached: a4b.png (600x764, 273K)

How could anyone, even the most intransient redpiller incel, hate the Steven Universe show, when it's exposed so many men of culture???

I think her programming to be Pink's friend, would compel her to stick to Steven. In the show, Greg raised Steven without the CG, but with Spinal around i think he would have had help. That experience might have given Spinel some maturity about how to relate with Steven, but she might tend to spoil him unless Greg is firm about some things. I don't believe she would have been quite as fierce of a fighter as the movie, because she was basically suicidal in the movie, but it would be interesting to remember that she has that mode in her when pressed.

Quick what will the next antagonist be and how will they make you feel like shit and want to protect them

Attached: 114224.jpg (1023x791, 367K)

Percy leaving Paulette in the season 1 finale triggered her too bad she refuses to watch any more.

>exposed so many men of culture
Your words loose meaning the minute you typed that out, user. Repent, for you may be saved

Still waiting for holographic eye-patch Connie to return. She needs to poof some unsuspecting gem, and use it to escape the holodeck.

isn't eyepatch connie the holodeck's way of saying "lol steve u gotta b more specific dood"

At some point, Steven needs to deal with watermelon island.

Valid points, all. The reason I think Spinel would stay immature is because entertainment is her role and the Gems would treat her much like early Steven; something to be protected, and not recognizing that her stretchy limbs and acrobatics could be deadly with the right weapon in her hands.

If she does mature, I don't think she'd necessarily be the maternal, but more like the aunt that spites the mother by being more fun... and I just realized I genuinely love the dynamic of Pearl and Spinel having friction over Steven.
>Spinal
I don't think a skeleton pirate is going to be much help raising a kid unless Greg wants him to be a rum-guzzling buccaneer.

Gems forms are not permanent. This change is probably a reflection of their change.
Bigger heads with chibi portions.

>we'll never get another episode about Rose's Room

a wacky yet affectionate old coot?

nah, it'll be jasper and we'll be swarmed by jasperfags

>in an alternate timeline we all blame Spinel for the fact that Steven is fat

We could blame her anyhow, just as a way of being inclusive.

even if they didn't use her in a straightforward fight, she still has great stealth capabilities. i don't think she'd be happy sitting alone in some base while pink was in danger.

No, thats how you were meant to interpet it. It was supposed to be an "aha that's why!" moment when you've had time to digest the episode and reflect on why Garner never forms an inquirative statement, only declarative ones. Or it would be, if Sucrose and her crew weren't hacks that couldn't sing-cry their way out of a wet paper bag.

Y'know, that makes me wonder. What would her gem weapon be? The scythe obviously wasn't, so what is it proper?

It would be interesting if Pearl was less of a mom and more a cool yet slightly distant aunt in this dynamic, if Spinel did raise him. I can imagine her pushing Steven away if she feels she can't get joy out of his kid presence like Spinel might.

t. low test redpiller incel who doesnt want his head crushed between the thighs of a giant woman

I'm thinking something suitably wacky, like a flail or an urumi, maybe a truncheon.

personally I think they would use her, Amethyst seemed to pretty much be the baby of the group and she was brought along to Corrupted Monster hunting too albeit she's a Quartz but they got a Pearl fighting just fine too. the Crystal Gems pride on being warriors they coddled Steven but it didn't take long till they started bringing him on missions.

Attached: dance-garnet.gif (675x414, 234K)

Bismuth would make something that exploited her stretchiness?

Either a spinning blade, or something blunt? Blunt objects on a rubber-band seems a bit obvious, but she did well with a spinning saw in the movie.

Materially, spinel is expensive bullet proof glass, but Steven already has the whole shield theme.

I'm definitely planning on drawing some of this stuff. I kinda wanna draw out both a redeemed Spinelle that comes back after staying with the diamonds and a Spinelle that came to earth with Pink to see how their designs would differ.

Imagine what she could do with these.

Attached: 4dd023a46c1a313618c6470d22fe0dc5.jpg (750x750, 32K)

I would breed her deep and hard for days like pearl.

I fucking love rocks.

No? This is pure (and flat out wrong) fanon to make the Diamonds look better.

>the granny type
Could be cool. Sort of fun to drive home the age of the magical girls.

But consider this. Just because she was allowed to come to earth, that doesn't mean Rose now liked her. She could very well be excluded from the inner circle. Would she even be there behind the shield when the corruption hit?

she could technically store any weapon in her gem like early pearl did

I'd say a scythe anyway, maybe a twin set of scythes.
That or a big cartoony mallet.

Tommy gun looking shotgun.

Attached: 7C4FECB4-EEFE-410E-821A-21F28C3D81C2.jpg (660x400, 83K)

A big ol' squeaky hammer.
May or may not have a boxing glove pop out of it for longer range fights.

It's less that Rose handpicked who she personally liked and more who happened to be there and she could shield
Arguably that's more interesting. Rose is now stuck with the person she's been low key excluding for a thousand years

Having two weapons, could be kinda brilliant. At any moment she can plant them in the ground and become an improvised slingshot.

I just realized she can stretch her arms for longer range, anyway.
Maybe only have the boxing glove come out when it's funny.

it is suspicious that Rose just happened to rescue the founding members of her fusion orgy club,

It's a retarded headcanon thing. In one of the flash back eps Rose says "No more questions" to Garnet, Garnet acquiesces and people have been taking this as a form of mind control because they're desperate to make her into a sinister manipulator.

>Diamonds' blast is about to hit
>Rose shielding Amethyst, Garnet, and Pearl from the damage
>"At least Spinel won't be messing everything up with her anti-"
>Spinel pops out from behind Rose, "Gee, that sure was close!"

Being Plague?

there's so many good potentials for fights you could use with her.

She's the big guns of the team, so, party cannon! That's a real cannon. She can shoot both deadly confetti and herself out of it.

Attached: 1548268227727.jpg (1280x1506, 309K)

It's be tempted to design her as mostly cool and less cartoony.
After all, before the reveal of homeworld in season one gems were presented as magical warriors with a mystical air. You'd want het to fit in that theme.

Bring it around town!

I think they're setting it up for Spinel to find a gem to love her for herself on Homeworld and get her into a perma fusion. It lowers the animation and voice acting budget, and she was saying how she still had a lot to work on even by the end of the movie. I guess the only question is who she'd be with.

Less Rodger Rabbit, more like Ty Lee?

I don't know. It's like they want to stay angry.

It's such an unbiased take on social justice and gender roles that it exposes matters completely. Rebecca Sugar went into this clearly not knowing that as you write, you instinctively give your characters roles based on their appearance and gender.

I think the boat already sailed on that one, considering how wacky her powers are

S1a wasn’t because of budget it was because of the art director they had at that time.

Would Spinel imitate things she saw on TV during a battle? Is a pie in the face a valid strategy? Are enemies getting a hand full of TNT? Does she have a reaction to spinach?

why were gem weapons used so sparsely
Lapis = no gem weapon
Peridot = no gem weapon
Sapphire = no gem weapon
Bismuth = no gem weapon
The Diamonds = no gem weapons
all Topaz seem to use ear swabs as weapons, last time it felt like we got a nice unique weapon was Eyeball's dagger. I don't even know if Spinel would have one or not. the fact our Pearl could develop her own, presumably with much effort, means anyone can?

bizarrely it feels like I barely even understand the specifics of what gem weapons are this deep into the show.

Attached: whip-amethyst2.gif (426x236, 1.46M)

Exactly, then let loose the rubber hose in later seasons.
It could be character development, she finally learns hoe to optimally use her streching ability.

Geez I hope not, we have enough ships.

That said, it would be cool if the diamonds fused with her at some point. That would really test their commitments to the whole class thing. And we'd see springy diamond.

she'd eat spinach cause steven thought it was cool
secretly she is just, y'now, kind of indifferent to it.

Oh man, first season exposition.
The whole world had such a different feel to it then.

>It's a Spinel townie episode
>Spinel decides to do a comedy act for the talent show and does mostly slapstick
>Steven and a lot of the adults like her act but the teens like Lars and the Cool kids playfull heckle her.
>She constantly tries to spruce up her act to appeal to the teens without them ever liking it, resulting it in her losing her temper and starting to make fun of them back
>"oh look I'm Lars, I'm too cool for a silly kiddy comedy act but not cool enough to talk to girls without st-st-stuttering"
>"th-tha-t's n-not true!"
>Eventually her insult comedy becomes a huge hit with the teens but Steven realizes it's causing them to pick on each other more and goes to talk to Spinel about it.
>Spinel tells Steven that all she was made for was to make people laugh and that when she can't get a laugh out of people she feels useless.
>Steven tells her "It doesn't matter if everyone finds your comedy act funny. You just need to cherish the few fans you have. Like me."
>It ends with Spinel doing her physical comedy act at the big talent show. Lars and the cool kids continue to heckle her but she just continues to use that heckling to make herself the butt of the joke.
>Star wipe on Steven laughing harder than anyone in the audience.

Attached: 1567474886241.png (640x360, 269K)

>Steg Multiverse is born
>Across the stars, the Gem Giantesses feel an inexplicable desire to gather around murdercock

Considering that most of the season were about monster wrangling, Spinel might just act as a rope to let other gems more easily poof monsters. Bare handed she wouldn't need any weapons. Technically she has the agility to abuse an enemy and use them as a speed bag, but she doesn't have much of a reason to be that mean most of the time.

I'd love the idea of Spinel just havbing big ol' cartoony boxing gloves that she just bashes people with.

They were her first followers, they probably were the closest to her in the battlefield.

Man, the first encounter with Jasper would be extra fun. What mean things would she have to say about Spinel?

If she a were member right from the start of the show than she'd need one, it'd be really weird to see a MAIN Crystal Gem without their own weapon

>bizarrely it feels like I barely even understand the specifics of what gem weapons are this deep into the show.
I think they're Bismuth (or whatever gem passes for an armorer on Homeworld) creations. Hence why she can alter Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl's weapons. Note Pearl did not seem to have her spear nor did Rose have her shield before Bismuth joined in The Answer flashback. It's made in a way that it can be stored in the gem and made at will after first creation. You could argue that the Rejuvenator was Spinel's weapon if this is true because she pulled it out of her gem initially. Also interesting to note that Rose' shield was not a giveaway to the Diamonds that she was Pink Diamond, so it must have been created/developed in some way after her initial transformation into Rose Quartz.

But Garnet already has that.

Not only that, it seemed like they retconned out Bismuth’s upgrades for the gems.

A Spinel? Looks like you guy's gem sitter is here. Is she going to let you come out and play?

>spinel's gem weapon is a big ball she bounces on like a circus seal and richochets round the room

Attached: tumblr_pufz1x9pFK1u0a1ido1_1280.jpg (1280x720, 144K)

Amethyst has her triple whips in the movie. I think they just did not use the weapons Bismuth upgraded, initially, because they were saddened by the whole Bismuth situation and really didn't want to be reminded of it.

>Oh yeah, the clown, the only one of you buffoons who doesn’t make me laugh!

>She takes turns insulting everybody.
>Spinel is eager to see what she has to say about her.
>Jasper looks at her, the skips over her.
>Spinel is dissapointed.

Spinel almost seems too OP for the situation. She was a movie tier threat all by herself.

maybe she's less powerful when she's not fuelled by burning hatred. steven's powers are emotion based.

she'd make short work of catching peridot, though. the CGs need a distance gal.

We find out later that Gems aren't born with weapons. They're made, like by Bismuth and then stored in their gems and used at their leisure. Which is why gems that weren't part of the war don't have them.

see I don't know if this is the case. She was surprised when she saw Amethyst had a whip, and remarked that not all Quartz could make a weapon like this. Bismuth was also surprised to see Pearl advanced her spear to where it can shoot blasts. Bismuth specifically said she made the "physical" weapons on the Crystal Gems which I assumed meant the Rose's sword which was very different than the shield which seemed to be produced by the gem itself.

Attached: chisel-eyeball.gif (540x300, 744K)

It could be like a little mystery.
Like why Garnet has two gems.

The thing what made her dangerous was the Rejuvinator and her injector. The Gems were turning the tables pretty solidly without them, so I think her agility would be like a squirrel fighting a gorilla with Jasper.

if this was true amy wouldn't have one, since they had her when bismuth was gone.

If Spinel did join Pink in rebellion, would she have been too noticeable as a unique Spinel? Or would she simply be able to disguise herself a bit like Pearl did? Because if that's the case I can see her taking on her current form as her disguise, an 'edgy' rebel with an upside down heart. But where would the star go?

>Peridot: "Jasper, you really should take that Spinel seriously. Do you realize what she's made of?"

Perhaps. She was in suicide mode in the movie, so she left everything on the dance floor. In the AU, she might never behave that aggressively unless she was the last CG still standing. Then she gets a musical number.

I feel like she'd bring up Spinel being a perfect cut at some point just to brag about herself being an even better perfect cut.

One one hand, Spinel's non-fighting function would per her at a programming disadvantage to a born warrior Jasper. On the other hand, jasper is made of glass and spinel is made of metal. Spinel might not be inclined to hurt Jasper, but Jasper would find it physically difficult to put any harm on a Spinel.

Obviously framing her gem.
I love that trope.
>goofy joke character gets serious and starts wrecking shit with abilities normally just used for shenanigans

Maybe they gave her another Amethyst's whip. After all the Crystal gems used to have LOTS of different kinds of gems on their team. It's not unlikely some of them left their weapons lying around.

An upside down heart inside of a star seems pretty difficult to pull off

But they used them after that and then the next season they’re gone.

>It's a spongebob vs. Flats situation.
>Jasper can't beat Spinel without her destabilize because she just rebuffs all physical damage.

Quick, come up with weapons for gems who don't have any
>Sapphire
Some sort of throwing weapon, maybe like that xena ring thing
>Lapis
Trident
>Those lil' beetles
Itty bitty rapiers
>Peridot
A Colt M1911, .45 caliber with custom lime green slide and dark green grips with trench sights and an underbarrel laser

Attached: 185.png (400x426, 281K)

Her thing could be that she's a clumsy doofus that always screws things up for everybody.
Except for a few specific times when there's nobody around to bump into and she's really pissed off.

>That's right I told this story over and over again
>Gee, it's swell, you'll finally meet her other friends
>That's right I'll tell this story, you won't really like how it ends
>Gee, it's swell you'll finally meet her other friends

the gems didn't get stars till after rose died. except bismuth.

>Spinel
A twirling baton or that twirling tape thing they use in the olympics

Even she doesn't believe that.

I just don't see her as being clumsy. She was just oddly everywhere you want to be before you could get there.

No.

this. fits her clown theme, nonlethal, chances for fun movement.

>>Lapis
>Trident
How would that look when she's trying to summon it?
It would have to be something small or bendy like a whip for her to just be able to put her hand on her back and grab a weapon.

Ok ok ok you know how Harley Quinn used to look like, well... a harlequin
but now she's got like a jacket and stuff? I imagine Rebel Spinel to have like a punk jacket with a crooked star on the back and short jeans, maybe one of her pigtails could be a lighter shade of pink. Show that even though she's still the fun loving type, she'll fight to protect her friends.

>jasper keeps hitting her
>she keeps making squeaky toy noises

It comes out like water that flows to her hand then turns into her weapon

There was a point in this AU that people were suggesting Spinel would impersonate a Ruby. How would this play into some of these battles? Jasper now meets the most weirdly wiry Ruby ever.

Perfect.
Does it have some wand-like application?
Maybe and extending function.

Both of these are great.

Attached: 1548923643090.png (609x585, 368K)

It could probably extend to some crazy degree, maybe the tips can become cartoony fists to push people back

Poof and reform as a shorty?

Maybe they're just for special situations? They had been fight-free for a fairly long time if Amethyst considers herself "rusty".

Attached: 1546548340108.jpg (1166x1920, 1.3M)

Probably just some squarish pigtails and a uniform.

Basically.

BASICALLY

it sparkles like a magical girl wand and has cute ribbons on it

she can use it like a pointer for yakko style expository musical numbers

I think she'd be at a loss for words. Spinel is such a decadent indulgence.

Maybe something like "Oh yeah, the toy from Her childhood"

It hurts.

>Willing to literally bubble something forever instead of figuring out how to deal with it.

How should she have dealt with Bismuth? I really want to know.

Attached: tenor.gif (240x134, 1.46M)

Convince her that peace is taking the high ground, and that violence would make them as wrong as the Diamonds. Or maybe tell her the truth.

actually, if spinel was recognisable as pink's toy, chances are she'd go into a frothing rage at her for both abandoning her duty and her pink diamond. maybe jasper would be her antagonist and garnet's theme antagonist would be... aquamarine, or something.

>chum, i've been beaten for sport by better people than you

And that's how life fibers came to be

But if Spinel has the appearance of a tall Ruby, that changes the situation. Then it's maybe Jasper making a remark about how she looks malformed. Spinel's response may then be along the lines of a raspberry with antlers.

maybe it would be easier for her to disguise as some other type of gem that comes in multiple colours? like a zircon, or.... a morganite, if you want to hat tip to the fan theories

Why did Nephrite make that phone call

Would it count as incest?

>season 1 Spinel
>Granny gem. Looked up to by the others as a wise elder.
>Spoils Steven too much.
>Airbender-esque buddist design. Avoids damage using agility and rubbery physique. Rarely uses offensive moves.

>Season 2 onward Spinel
>Reforms more clowny.
>Embraces her stretchiness. Learns to use it offensively.
>Stops trying to play mentor and starts being the jester she was when Rose was still alive.

>Flashback Spinel
>Biker Harley Quinn

that's gay
Amethyst made that badass whip herself, gem weapons are made by the gem itself and we see they disappear after a while if their gem isn't holding it unlike physical weapons like Rose's sword
>Hey, deep cut, don't think I forgot about you. What you packin'?
>Oh, this old thing?
>Wow...
>What is it?
>Well, not every Quartz can make a whip like this.

Attached: Bismuth_trim8.webm (960x540, 2.91M)

Human villains who are simply acting in retaliation towards the constant death and destruction the planet undergoes due to gem monsters and Diamond invasions.

>Jasper: "And now one more to poof, this weird looking Ruby."
>Jasper dives in and lands a punch. Spinel rolls her head with it easily, seeming to ignore any damage.
>Jasper: "What the?
>Steven: "Ruby! Run!"
>Spinel: "I'm sorry Steven. I'm not a Ruby."
>Jasper: "What are you?"
>Spinel: "I'm a Spinel."
>Still in close quarters with Jasper, Spinel reaches her stretchy arms towards the distant ship. Grabs it, and uses her body to slingshot Jasper away. Jasper cursing as she is propelled over the horizon.
>Steven: "What does all of this mean? What do you mean you aren't Ruby?"
>Spinel: "Gather everyone up. I'll explain in the house."

they're hyper-collectivized xenos who reproduce by mass cloning. to merely destroy some individual worker drone unit IS arguably a lesser evil than inflicting suffering on them. whatever internal repression was occuring is absolutely dwarfed by the genocide of non-gem life (its scale unknown but pretty safely assumed to be massive, probably dozens of living planets at least).

Would Pearl and Spinel eventually learn to lean on one another and maybe bond romantically?

In nature, Spinel are often mistaken for Rubies anyhow. Red and similar hardness. It's an easy disguise that lets her expose her gemstone and still get away with it.

I think they'd probably have more of a close sister relationship. Like if amethyst is the baby and Garnet is the oldest, Spinel and Pearl would be the twins.

What is a Spinel if not simply a fun Pearl?

What would Spinel's arc be? Maturity on Earth firstly, of course, but could she be much more like she is in the movie initially: angry and depressed? Like Rose's death really took the fun out of her and she's more of a lowkey person until Steven helps her develop and get out of her shell as a sort of parallel to anxiety and depression. She finally reforms as similar to her pre-Rebellion form, but with aspects of her more edgy form.

I don't know, if Spinel has any bit of her goofy personality than it might irk Pearl but it would be a huge draw-in for Amethyst who specifically felt very lonely when not in Rose's company.

I think the suggestions were that her caretaker instincts would compel her to stick with Steven even when he was a baby that the other gems were afraid to go near. She really was designed to be Pink's babysitter.

i like it
here's my version
>s1 spinel
>essentially a cool weird old lady. shades of a non-evil white diamond in there.
>doesn't bother fighting unless she has to, if she does, uses stretchy and baton

>s2 onward spinel
>we learn that she was actually kind of brutal in the war. to the point that jasper is mildly wary of her
>she had all this angry energy inside that couldn't manifest because she didn't want to upset her friends, so it all came out in her fighting
>turns out her baton was a scythe the whole time
>she also prefers steven to rose.

>s5 spinel
>thinks this homeworld plan is a terrible idea but will go along with it
>steven realises her job description didn't really change all that much

>flashback spinel
>"we live in a society"

this is cute and nice btw

Spinels are friends, Pearls are secretaries

>One is free, and the other you pay.
Spinel are sluts and Pearls are whores?

I may or may not like this art but I don't think Spinel is a character I'm comfortable with fetishizing. I just want to see get all the love she wants and think about the various scenarios she could be in after she decides to stay with the Diamonds.

Attached: 1567834450644.png (540x545, 650K)

>Just noticing the movie is on TV right this minute.

Attached: 1542711719833.jpg (421x277, 51K)

if spinels are anything like rl jesters, they would have a great freedom of speech. jesters could say more or less anything to anyone as a joke and get away with it. compared with pearls, who are supposed to shut up all the time.

What would Bismuth' relationship with Spinel be like?

I really like that.
It fits the show.

How would the Pink Diamond revelation go in this AU? Since it seems Pearls are the only ones who MUST obey their Diamond's orders according to Rebecca, would the Crystal Gems feel more willfully betrayed by Spinel than Pearl? Would Spinel even keep it a secret from the others for so long?

If Bismuth is on friendly terms with Pearl, she should be on friendly terms with everyone... but the show really didn't elaborate very deeply on anything other than that everyone was happy to see each other.

pre-rose betrayal i think they'd get on great. everyone likes bismuth
finding out she kept the secret the whole time and didn't have a verbal limit, though?

Attached: 1507070262022.png (2480x3071, 3.64M)

rose would probably make her promise. what would be the breaking point, though?

i imagine she'd keep the secret because she doesn't want to rock the boat and upset them. maybe pearl would even get angry at her for not telling.

>Convince her that peace is taking the high ground, and that violence would make them as wrong as the Diamonds. Or maybe tell her the truth.

She tried the former and it didn't help.

And let's review the situation here. Here she is, Rose Quartz - apparently before Pink Diamond was shattered, so she's still playing two roles, although God knows how - juggling a war with the Earth at stake. If she drops the ball, everything on Earth will die.

So what will happen? She can't be sure. Bismuth is furious, and more than ready to kill; actually it is worse than that, since we have seen what happens to gem shards... they become near-mindless abominations, forever looking for the rest of themself... and this while there is a method for disabling and imprisoning gems without harming them! Bismuth is a killer, and she needs to be stopped... preferably peacefully. The options are extremely limited.

The problem with not thinking ahead before introducing these characters is that it creates moral gaps. There is no real reason not to break Bismuth out of her bubble after the Corruption. She could have been very helpful, even if she would have been even angrier than before.

Perhaps that's why. Rose had only two friends left (Three, if we count Ruby and Sapphire separately)... what if Bismuth wanted revenge? Her anger would be fresh and she had shown a willingness, indeed a desire, to kill... and kill needlessly.

And I guess that in all the time of fighting a worldwide army of insane monsters who used to be her friends, the issue of freeing Bismuth just got shoved onto the backburner. After all, no time was passing for her... and all her friends were gone anyway. Maybe someday... maybe someday...

It's entirely possible that after thousands of years, she simply forgot. Then again, she also hung that one shirt on the tree so I guess she must at least have remembered.

The point is... there was no easy solution and maybe no possible solution.

When you're whiling the rest of your existance on some rock, it's probably desirable not to alienate your two remaining friends. even if you have to do a bad thing. you could argue that freeing bismuth will only bring her pain, which i don't agree with, but rose might have thought that way.

They are both slaves, it's a matter of natural inclination.

Spinel will be on all fours waving her butt in your face, ready, waiting and eager, while Pearl will blush and do that raising her shoulders thing before she gets down on her knees and gets going.

Intense annoyance.

"Don't touch that! It's hot - oh christ, at least don't drop it DON'T DROP GODDAMIT YOU DROPPED IT GET OUT OF MY STUDIO! NO! LOOK OUT WHERE YOU'RE GOING AAAARRRGGHH! I SPENT HOURS STACKING THOSE MOLDS! NO! DON'T TOUCH THEM, YOU'LL GET THEM OUT OF ORDER! GET LOST! GET OUT! I HAVE A SHATTERPOINT AND I AM NOT AFRAID TO USE IT!!"

Damn, Plague works fast and I thank him for it

The bots in here don't appreciate your work, but i do....

Well done, keep it up, i will also.

>secretaries
They wish. Only the Diamond's high-quality Pearls.

pearls are luxury handbags

>we never saw a Pearl that wasn't owned by a Diamond

i still have a theory that lapis had one and she just kept her fucking mouth shut on the matter since she knew it wouldn't endear her to any of the cgs

I knew it! white women are really men!

Garnet never asking questions was a thing before her origin flashback episode and well before Pearls secret-keeping MK was revealed, and was probably supposed to be another case of PD/Rose MK. That said IIRC she broke the rule a few times in the series, anyway.

I've been waiting for this ever since it was confirmed that firearms exist. Bumbling MIB whose bumbling turns out to be a put-on to lull the CGs into complacency with their open surveillance, and actually harbor malicious intent not towards the CGs but towards Homeworld / The Diamonds. And it's revealed later that EarthGov is working with the handful of other organic xeno species that managed to survive attempted extermination (most in far worse condition than Earth, eg. eking out meager existence hiding in colony ships, their homeworlds long destroyed, with full memory of the billions lost).

>Spinel would have been happy to feed Steven regularly, and felt no shame about it.

Attached: 7d9.jpg (1292x3084, 438K)

you'll stay waiting, user. kind of the point of the townies is that humans don't understand or give a fuck about gem stuff to maintain the cosy vibe.

but neither pearl or spinel have titty

Given that: does Homeworld have game shows, and if so, are Pearls among the prizes?

'Our' Pearl is probably the best Pearl in the universe and the other Diamonds' Pearls seem kinda limited and shallow (With Bloople being clearly superior to Poil in that regard)... that does not speak well for Pearls in general.

>We finally see some 'normal' Pearls
>They are like robots with the intellect of special needs children
>They have no initiative or agency whatsoever
>They do whatever you tell them to with the literalness of Amelia Bedelia, but without her fearsome can-do attitude

>All of a sudden you get why Pearl was called a 'terrifying renegade' - imagine if your furniture started getting an attitude

A sapphire should have a high enough rank, but it's hard to know the ranks. If it were a hardness scale, Rubies would be up there too, but they are just grunts so whatever. Not much more than Rubies, Sapphires, and Diamonds are harder than Spinels.

They can shapeshift lad.

They can have whatever they want to have.

Yeah, endearing herself to the CGs really featured highly on her priorities list.

>You remind me of my Pearl. Although she looks better, really.

Thank you for posting that, Supergod. It was pretty much the first comic on SU I ever read, before I ever saw an episode, I think (and I came in around 'Cat Fingers').

>"On homeworld, Pink was so lonely and sad, but not here..."
That's gratitude for ya.

>Spinel with comically huge breasts because she got the idea it's funny from some human TV show

>She makes the joke work but everybody is still very uncomfortable

homeworld does have gladiator areas. maybe you can win a pearl in those.

the other pearls seem fine, they just haven't had their individuality nourished like our pearl has. being snappy yellow's personal servant wouldn't do anyone any favours. blue pearl has been telenetically forced to cry probably every day for six thousand years of her life.

i'd suck white's toes, lick yellow's neck, and eat blue's ass

no sense starting shit and upsetting your little buddy steven
she never mentions her personal life at all.

did spinel never leave the garden? that line kind of implies she didn't go to homeworld. maybe pink thought her too silly even then?

That's why he should be more nice, he can't fight them so he needs to stay in their good graces

She did't seem to be a prisoner. She just stayed put because Pink asked her to play the game.

do u think they could have pps too haha like what if tho

i meant before that, i wonder how much of homeworld she saw.

>i'd suck white's toes

Gonna be hard to fit into your mouth

Attached: White.png (1359x651, 488K)

She probably came from homeworld, and was invited to the garden. There were no apparent kindergartens in the garden.

damn forgot how disgustingly SD late stage steven was, this bitch 50% head and body.

he's gonna be drawn like a lanklet in s6 when the budget drops

>maybe you can win a pearl in those.

Unf. Why is winning a slave girl in a contest even hotter than buying one?

>i'd suck white's toes

Her pinky toe is appreciably larger than your head.

I don't think the experience, nor any of the other doomed attempts you describe, would be rewarding for any party.

Why did you not choose the twelve-foot-tall Pink instead? She is a giantess, but at a manageable size. Her feet, for instance, are maybe eighteen inches.

white could shrink down so user could suck her cold marble-hard toes

still upset we never got to find a load of common pearls back in the "mystery" stages of the show

Attached: 1441616040480.gif (1000x573, 304K)

I'm sure Spinel would know exactly what to do.

Attached: 23718b46e0fdb32eda70f64a7bd03470.jpg (1600x1041, 181K)

Maybe the Diamonds placed Spinel in the garden specifically for Pink.
The garden was supposed to be Pink's special area after all.

>eat blue's ass
You'd literally get lost in her anus and she'd either have to dig you out or forcibly shit you out.
Or shapeshift a bigger anus and let you fall out I don't know.

Attached: Blue Diamond 5.png (1800x2232, 1.09M)

>Gems make fun of any gem that has a Spinel.
>Having a Spinel is seen as having to "buy a friend".
>Pink secretly ashamed to be meeting a Spinel.
>Hides her secret in a distant place and tells nobody.
>Even Pearl knows not to gossip about Pink having a Spinel.

let me drive my van into your ass

>making fun of a Diamond
Yeah I don't think so.

>Having a Spinel is seen as having to "buy a friend".
pearl said steven was lucky for having one, though

Newborn pearls are less catty than old ones.

still, spinel doesn't see herself in a bad light. she calls the CGs nobodies. she knows her worth.

>Gems make fun of any gem that has a Spinel.
>Having a Spinel is seen as having to "buy a friend".

>Won't this be fun?
>Aren't you the lucky one!
That ain't it, chief.

They'd probably double as insanely good bodyguards

why does she do the cuphead dance anyway?

>'wanna watch me shake this guy to death?'
>'eh should be funny i guess'

>Yellow's neck
user that's pretty based

rubber hose animation predates cuphead

1930's rubberhose cartoons had those kinds of movements all the time.
It's like Cuphead's the first time anyone's seen that kind of animation or something.

Non aristocratic Gems living on HW have no lives outside of their work and cubbies. Friends are a luxury so a regular gem being followed around by a spinel will come with a lot of questions e.g Who did you polish off.

....I suspect that is precisely what the user wants.

Yeah, she has never been wrong about her position in life...

The cuphead dance...

God, punish this depraved and sinful generation.

shit sorry that reminded me about the confusing fake stage and flowers and stuff and someone said about how the theme was being ironically old or something, makes sense the girl theme is too

it's not ironic, though. sugar means it, it's a loving homage. there really is a type of weird sincerity to this show that endears.

Past:
>Blue and Yellow are desperate for White’s attention and follow her orders to appease her.
>White doesn’t care and stays in her head away from them all day.
Present:
>Yellow, Blue, and White Diamond are desperate for Steven’s attention and follow his orders to appease him.
>Doesn’t care and stays on Earth away from them all day.
How did this happen? Did Pink Steven wrecking WD really change the pecking order by that much?

>ironic
But it's not?
Like the user below you said it's a loving homage to rubberhose animation.
Sugar legitimately enjoys it.

they're probably desperate to not alienate second chance at loving relationship with their kid figure

Is season six real
It sounds too good to be true

Maybe they don't know how to function outside of such a system. The gems seem more and more like automatons after this movie.

It's Giant killing. When someone who is very obviously weaker completely decimates someone WAY stronger it turns everything on its head.

Should’t it be:
>Pink Diamond
>White Diamond
>Blue/Yellow Diamond
They should have kept the triangle for era 3.

But was Pink Steven weaker than WD? He blocked all her attacks and brought her to her knees with little effort.

good. the diamonds were a dead end anyways.

But now it seems real life is influenced by the diamond authority, helping us not blow ourselves up and such

Attached: ddawlabelNFPA1.jpg (720x540, 71K)

Yeah I dunno we have no info on it. I'm starting to think I'm being too optimistic.

>the cool kids
But they'd never heckle her, they are the cool kids because they're cool on the inside, man.

It was hilarious whenever people pointed it out when it appeared on Gravity Falls.

somethings getting announced in october at a panel, we don't know what.

Attached: Change_Your_Mind_963.png (1920x1080, 1.73M)

I should've said someone who "appears" substantially weaker. It doesn't have to be the reality of the situation. (I mean obviously since they wouldn't be able to kill the giant if that was the case.

youtube.com/watch?v=mTMZt7J4Zq4

Honestly, I'm pretty sure the only thing Steven/PD really beats the other diamonds in is defense

As far as I remember anytime it's actual combat; Steven and everyone get smashed against the diamonds, the fact everyone acted surprised Pink Steven was fine vs white is weird when Rose literally was fine vs that first blast that the diamonds wiped the rebellion

You say that but they publically made fun of Steven's "guitar dad" shirt among other things. They're cool people but they still fall into a lot of teenager-isms like complaining and teasing things.

>professordoctor
So before I click that, is it gonna be some fat spinel with health issues? because I don't really wanna see that right now but still wanna know what I'm dealing with here

invent philosophy?

i think so yes.

>was hoping it was just going to be a picture of all the Diamonds adorably doting on Spinel
How naive I was.

That makes sense. Steven did already have floating powers so it’s easy to imagine him walking on air. I guess you don’t really need to be stronger than someone to knock them over.

Steven has pretty much zero ways to even just poof a gem, much less a Diamond. Perhaps you can argue White only fell over because of how she was, as she put it, "spreading herself thin" thanks to her powers.

Attached: White_Diamond3.gif (498x280, 167K)

there's an nycc con panel october 4th
bismuth.tumblr.com/post/187513657013/nycc-panel-confirmed-yall

So would she still be all White Diamond in the head if she fused with someone she used her powers on?

Me on the bottom

Attached: 1532405101124.png (859x827, 412K)

that's not really fusion
fusion requires 2 concious people

Fuck, that got me.

Outtasync, I know its you, fool.

>countless thousands of destroyed planets
>engendering a culture built off monarchical servitude and militarism
>torturing and experimenting on the gems they killed to force them into some unholy limbo existence
i really like the diamonds as characters and also because i wanna fug the shit outta them but let be real, if any of us were given a breaking point and a way to get close to them, we wouldn't even fucking hesitate.

Reminder: Serves her right, she trusted Pink Diamond.

They are perfect thats why they are directionless. Our flawed biological existence is ultimately what made us what we are today.

Yeah, pretty much this.

at most I attribute her falling at all to the fact that it was unexpected, she'd been so sure Pink was still somewhere in there

I remember when she explained it, even I felt like it could of been true

>spaceships
>cool technology and weapons
>concentrationc/ i mean gardens full of cool aliens
>slaves

Anyone else feels the early parts of the show doesn’t go well with what the rest of the series is like. Like it genuinely was more magic than alien tech. Like why would the Moon Goddess statue stop the spire from collapsing? Why are super powerful technologies on fucking Earth. If Homeworld had more replicator wands why didn’t they copy Jasper or another perfect gem a million times. Why didn’t they time travel to get Pink back? The only explained one was the Together Breakfest Smoke Monster.

>millions of servant class gems like pearls just knocking on doors looking for families to live with and take care of
>working class gems stealing our jobs
>academic gems moving into institutions
>military gems just having televised daily deathmatches for fun and entertainment before starting the next day with new odds
>spinels being told they must stand in the corner and that they can never ever be real friends
pretty ideal future earth scenario

thats a common complaint

>feel like shit and want to protect them
That won't apply because I just want Aquamarine back. And I don't want her to become sympathetic.

Early SU is to recent SU like Devil may cry 1 is to devil may cry 3,4 and 5.

Just came in this thread to say I hate this image. It's too small, the scaling of the Diamonds is jarringly off, and White is somehow in the foreground while also having her head in the background. Anyways that's all.

Attached: wide.jpg (2994x1078, 211K)

I think they had the broad strokes of the origins at the beginning. Coming up with future plans caused them to fill in details. Having more details known, kinda dictates fewer options without breaking established facts.

Your posts is appreciate nonetheless user-kun

remember the fucking cursed rune on a scroll. steven takes a phone pic, garnet has to burn the phone too. that's some light SCP shit right there

would Steven have the most trouble fighting Blue out of all the Diamonds?

Attached: IT_WAS_A_SWORD.gif (799x451, 3.53M)

It's also a common problem with episodic series in general. Like, look at Moral Orel for example. In the very first season, Orel manages to artificially inseminate the entire town, AND a zombie apocalypse happens. Compared to the (relatively) more grounded character-driven dramedy in the later second and third seasons, those South Park/Family Guy type plots seem really weird. Although, an episode later brushes it off as a stop motion animation that Orel makes.

Attached: orel.png (909x612, 436K)

It was the beginning and the show could seemingly go anywhere.
Every new thing seemed fantastical.
Later on as more and more things got explained and more of a structure was built there were fewer options you could explore without breaking previous lore.

That’s the weirdest thing too. They explained in an interveiw it was made by powdering gems and using them as dye for the painting. If that’s the case why would Garnet need to destroy the phone?

Were the living buildings and shit ever explained?

i cant remember if those were from s5 ending or the movie.

>Lapis is depressing because it's a blueness trait.

>Although, an episode later brushes it off as a stop motion animation that Orel makes.
Was that the episode where he had a thing in his backyard? Also the insemination episode would've been referenced in Abstinence.

thanks

im kind of disappointed that they didnt incorporate the moon goddess in the series in some way.

Lapis lived on the moon for a while.

go away

How does diamond juice even work. Or tears and sweat gems make. Isn’t it all projected physical light from gems. In fact how can holgram pearl stayed active when Pearl was poofed.

Attached: 284E0D24-45EF-4855-87FF-05E09DFF0AD3.png (640x360, 291K)

they should have used gem artifacts more. I don't think they're too out-there. they seem to be very rare take millennia to grow within specific conditions and it may not be as easy as just going to pick it up when it's done, looking how the time orb was gathered and how often the Crystal Gems failed at obtaining it. they're specifically fragile, even S1 Steven crushed the orb without much effort and Garnet stepped on the wand like it was nothing.

they're also not limitless the time orb creates branches not altering the true timeline, and who knows how far back you can go, and the duplicator wand seemed to only make barebones versions of things looking at how the cars Onion created didn't explode unlike the scooter earlier in the same episode. you can say Aquamarine's stasis wand is a gem artifact as well and it certainly is OP. the warp whistle may be one too but who knows.

Attached: Steven and the Stevens_trim.webm (960x540, 3M)

She may be picking up contaminants on her journeys of conquest.

I think sometimes the writers forget the gems are pretty much just holograms with mass.

But she isnt matter meaning nothing would stick on her.

She’s still physical I just don’t get how you can seperate new matter off her.

presumably the diamonds have never been pooved, so expect millenia of mass and matter to be trapped within them

If her hologram behaves as if it were solid, no reason to assume it can't soak junk up.

>Homeworld grinds to a halt as the Diamonds spend 6000 years watching Spinel be perfectly still in a handstand.

>"I have to admit, she's pretty good at this."
>"Wait for it. Wait for it."
>"Did you jiggle the shelf?"
>"Of course not. Well I've never..."
>"Just wait. She's still going."
>"This reminds me so much of Pink. She loved the stand still game."
>"Oh Pink."

Yeah but they are in fact sweating.

>"Am i doing it right?"

It would be my most difficult fight at least. I would bribe her with pleasure beyond reason

Steven should have just made multiple bubbles to contain the pool tears. That would make it way easier and faster to fix the town instead of kissing it a million times.

reminder that steven never hugged spinel

Attached: 1567631188367.png (1920x2157, 1.67M)

Dottie will casually mention such an alternate plan, days after they are too far into the current project to switch strategies.

fine i'll just cum on them
like she'll notice

Not just that.
Spinel might've never had a hug before in her life.

reminder that even with her new job as a glorified monkey doing tricks for the diamonds 24/7 spinel remembers she never did and never will receive this particular kind of affection and every second she doesn't distract herself with petty bullshit she just seethes on the inside

It is not possible for non matter to touch matter.

I'm sure that when she popped out of the ground at the Spinel kindergarten, the first thing that happened was for a bunch of other Spinels to giver her a big rubber hug.

You know Steven has touched gems rights? Physical holograms are just fictional parts of the show.

Diamonds dont really want her to do tricks they are fine with her just existing.

It has mass, and is therefore matter.

To be fair being a glorified monkey is find for Spinel if she is doing it for friends and genuinely making them happy.

If The SU Movie was Tree of Might
When's World's Strongest where Rinaldo takes things too far?

Water sticks on you because of you are matter. Water would slide off neutronium as its not really matter. Any contaminants would slide of the diamonds because they are not matter meaning there is no molecular adhesion or the shit that makes stuff stick to you.

Electrons have mass yet a steady flow of them or electricity is energy not matter. Dark Matter also has mass yet is not matter.

A human becoming a gem sounds interesting.
See pic.

Attached: 7582763A-101F-47B0-9038-259318E34ABE.png (400x379, 226K)

Electrons are matter, and have mass.
Dark matter may or may not be matter, when they find it.

Pure electrons are not matter.

They are matter.

Are there other Spinels? I got the impression she was one of a kind and made specially for Pink.

You matter.

Attached: 1567819153524.png (1920x1080, 663K)

I don't know why you would think that.

They're dying the water with their light. That essence allows the production of more gems.

they matter to me

Sounds like homeopathic medicine.

If Steven had used his mind powers could he have fixed the gems. If he had fused with White Diamond in the movie could he have literally beamed it into them.

Attached: 04963B8A-CC0F-42D9-87E3-8FEF8C42EB9B.png (640x360, 251K)

unrelated, but it always seems funny to me that some shortstack with a stick could poof a gem monster but the CGs always have trouble with them. like, lmao how retarded are they?

The diamonds were too strong to do much more than glance off of.

That’s cool then. I still don’t get It when gems actually cry. Also is it actually going to be revealed diamond essence came from sneople.

Connie going to space camp made no sense

Does she expect to introduce gem stuff once she gets into the business or something

they werent pink, so no.

I'm sure monster strength varied from one to the next.

Sorry I mean in the movie. Imatead of recreating pieces of thier life story could Steven/White Diamond just give them their memories.

They got rid of Garnet so that Garnet wouldn't give away the solution to the problem. They got rid of Connie for basically the same reason. This way, it was actually Spinel's idea to jog everyone's memory, so that the audience could see that she was naturally helpful.

The Slinker poofed Amethyst 3 times. I wonder what it’s like uncorrupted.

Attached: 2351802A-9B58-4A96-B7D9-E60BA470E8A9.png (2000x1650, 294K)

What we call matter is anything made by combinations of protons and neutrons.

Her parents aren't millionaires like Greg, she'll need a proper vocation when she gets older. Might as well pick a cool one.

Stretchy and fast? Seems familiar...

Spinel feeling Pink's aura would cause her to go apeshit.

Semi-related, but I keep forgetting that Greg's still a millonaire that hasn't lost it all yet.

Matter is anything with mass. Atoms are made of protons and neutrons. Subatomic particles are still matter.

The concert seemed to make it seem like he was actually making money. He was wheeling and dealing with the mayor over prices.

Why is Yellow the only one without mind powers?

Attached: 2E52E068-2CA2-47D1-A1C9-8DB05EC9D40C.png (818x712, 644K)

Becoming a manger of a successful indie band probably helped keep the money rolling too. Not to mention he still owns the carwash.

>Matter is anything with mass
darkmatter.jpg

She might just not have a reason to use them, or may not find them useful.

Has mass and is matter, until you prove otherwise.

White's pearl gives White personality, I like it
>Greg isn't her parent

Did she not see all the corrupted gems. Did she think Steven just found a way on his own or something.

It's not clear. Pearl specifically calls Steven "lucky" for bonding with a Spinel. And even notes that her cut is perfect and she's pink, which implies it's possible for Spinels to be other colors.

darkmatter is not matter you retard, it doesnt even interact with ordinary matter but has a gravitational effect on galaxies.

newatlas.com/study-of-colliding-galaxies-reveals-dark-matter-cant-touch-itself/36790/

I'm still not clear on what the fuck dark matter even IS.

Interaction is not a requirement for matter. Mass is.

Yes thats how we know it has mass because it generates gravitational stuff.

Dark matter is matter. Do your research for once.

Why does this remind me and other people of Vegeta? Is there even a frame where Vegeta looks like this?

Attached: A029CBAE-3E28-459B-875D-00E13390CA8C.jpg (1536x856, 134K)

Yeah, and the mass causes the gravitational interaction.
You for the effect to confirm the cause.

Dark Matter is not made of baryons thus is not matter you retard. We have no clue what dark matter is even made of or if its even made of anything yet you still think its matter.

How did my post turn this thread in to a discussion about matter?

>the hairline
>the sparks of energy
>that stare
I can see why you got DBZ vibes

Attached: 9be34c50d5c5b3967d552d59f352156c.png (400x290, 177K)

There is no requirement for matter to be made of anything specific. It only has to have mass. Dark matter has mass.

It could be her powers are more on the physical side.
The destablizers have yellow energy and are probably her technology, and her healing powers deal with bringing the body back to its original shape.
Plus when the CGs were fighting her and Blue on the beach the first thing she did was try to step on Steven instead of some energy blast like Blue did.

That's all I really have to go off of unless I'm forgetting something.

Dark matter is a form of matter dude, we confirm it as such despite not knowing what it's made of.
There's no alternative. It exists and it's not energy, it occupies space and has mass, so therefore it is matter.

Anyway the point here is that nothing would stick on gems because they are not matter the only reason shit like glue or slime sticks on you is because they are matter otherwise they either slide of you or phase through you. While gems can grab shit the matter would never stick on them because they are not matter.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baryon#Baryonic_matter

See

Dark Matter is neither matter nor energy.

Yeah that's a good point.

It's worth noting she wasn't present at the healing party. Probably to avoid having to interact with Jasper or whatever.

They have mass, and are therefore made of matter.

Sugar doesnt understand basic molecular chemistry I see.

Literally wikipedia this shit.
Dark matter is a form of matter thought to account for approximately 85% of the matter in the universe and about a quarter of its total energy density. The majority of dark matter is thought to be non-baryonic in nature, possibly being composed of some as-yet undiscovered subatomic particles.

Neutrinos have mass you fucking retard.

At this point you can be sure that you are just talking to a troll. They know they are being stupid.

I mean she did make physical light and rocks a species.
This is the only thing I think off but I don’t see what she can do with it in other context.

Great material here for Pearl and Spinel to bond without PD being a factor. Both gems remade themselves to fight in the war, but while Pearl took on a knightly mindset, Spinel reshaped herself into a brutal berserker.

It would make for a lot of drama if both vied to be Connie's combat teacher.

Neutrinos are matter.

>retards trying to act smart for trotting out their 7th grade science education in a show themed around magical gem inspired lesbians

yee haw

No

Attached: Bosons-Hadrons-Fermions-RGB-png2.png (4817x1643, 277K)

what are you talking about
the gems naturally create constructs that very much resemble organics, Amethyst has literally talked about shitting multiple times. obviously mud and rain would stick to them.

That is not possible though because they are not even fucking matter besides their gem.

Your seem to think your chart means something. It doesn't.

Neutrino are not baryon thus are not matter.

See

So what do gems do now that the empire has officially ended due to Steven?

Why the fuck are you guys arguing about matter and shit?
They're basically magical talking space rocks, who cares?

except yes they do
>How can they possibly make mass out of light!
it's literally described as magic

Random promiscuous fusions with dissimilar gems.

That seems humdrum.

This is for a race of beings that don't mind standing still for thousands of years, under the right circumstances.

Learn about human culture and fully integrate.
Maybe attempt fuse with humans or something I dunno.

Are gems just crystalline brains that can create suits to interact with the universe?

Pretty much. No explanation on why they look roughly human. Legend has it that everything can be blamed on a small elephant that bit a forbidden apple and went mad with power.

Would it be better to just have a bunch of tentacles and levitate in midair rather than have a human form?

She wouldn't have a weapon, her weapon is her special-stretchy-powers. Like Peridot, her thing is magnetism, not a physical weapon.
Incidentally, I like to imagine Spinel found a cache of dozens of Rejuvenators, and she has all of them in her gem.

"Better" implies some unit of measurement. Better at what?

Maybe they don't look human.
Maybe we look like gems!

I think they used that excuse on Dr Who. An amusing way for him to act offended and not answer any questions.

Well we are carbon based.

do we really have any reason to believe that a gem can't have both elemental/unique powers and a gem weapon? Pearl has shown very minor sand manipulation and can do other complicated things with her gem like spawn clones while also having her spear, Ruby has a bit of fire plus the gauntlet, Pink could manipulate plants etc and the shield. I think any gem has the capacity to create their own gem weapon, but it's not easy and gems less likely to fight are less likely to have one especially when they have some other easier way to fight that's more natural to them.

>humans are actually fucking gem troglodytes
checks out

Using tools and moving around.

Fingers and legs do a pretty great job of that. This is why there are no Orca playing baseball.

Yeah I never got the tentacle thing but their regu lar forms being able to fly would be useful.

We could speculate that having weight lets them perform manual labor functions more easily, but as long as we are basically designing a gem from scratch, there probably isn't a reason to not just let her choose how much she weighs. I guess fancy features are expensive or use up rare resources. Some of them are finding ways to get airborne.

Why does Pearl project herself onto humans?

Because a human took her Rose.

she was right tho...

>Why aren't there non humanoid gems?
Most likely a mix of style and function as the Diamonds and possibly their progenitor race designed them
Corrupted gems are essentially the "wild" form of Gems as their forms and emotions are completely out of whack while accentuating their abilities or even giving them new ones.
We see just about every corrupted gem act out of territorial instinct
The same gems have the same corrupted forms as we see with Centipeetle, Jasper and the other Quartz
