CN has zero reason to make a movie because the vast majority of this shows' viewers are too damn young and stupid to realize they're watching reruns, the show will continue as an endless belt of reruns until it slowly and quietly gets retired from the schedule. This is the most economic option for CN, this show never had big premieres because again, most viewers do not look for the show, they just watch it because it's on, right next to TTGo. Just because it'd be really nice and proper doesn't mean there's actual reasons for it to happen.

so? a long, long list of cartoons were popular and still got shelved. Gumball was only successful because the episodes were 11 minute long, fast paced and with slapstick humor for kids. That's the target audience, and the target audience doesn't care for long movies, they won't tune in to watch it.

It makes money with daily nonstop reruns. they don't need more episodes made, or a movie. It'll keep making money regardless.

It makes no sense to make a movie, they can't rerun it, too few people care, almost none of them are the kids that watch the reruns, it won't make anyone watch the show more.

If CN was really desperate to make money, they have more reasons to make shitty eleven episodes that can be spammed easily instead of a movie that takes up at least one hour minimum.
Especially if Ben's movie tries to force an ending. CN would not want that or would just reboot the show right after the movie if they felt generous.
