This is replacing the ending where the Diamonds take Spinel, because I didn’t like it fuck you Sugar. I’ve never written anything before, only lurked, but Spinel has inspired me to write this, because this character deserves everything.

I’m going to find someone……..”
It might be shit but goddamn it made me feel good writing it.
While I don't like how Spinel didn't stay with Steven, I agree with her sentiment that she needs to figure things out for herself. IF thats the case, then what should she do? Walk into Beach City, find friends there? She said it herself, she needs to start over, and all of the crystal gems and most if not all the townies have bad impressions of her from her Injector. If she is to stay on Earth, what would she do? Where would she go?

The movie was about change tho, if she started out as a clingy jester for PD and her problem was that she was scared of being alone after PD abandoned her why couldn't she have found peace with being independent and looked for a new purpose instead of going right back to being a jester for the other diamonds.

It's not about Steven and the Gems being willing to forgive Spinel, it's about Spinel being able to forgive herself. On that front, considering how much going against her own programing was fucking with her, it makes sense that she couldn't just move on right away.
The end of the movie should have at least hinted at her starting on a path to moving away from it then
