Pepe/Wojak OP images are cursed and part of the raid/botposting plaguing the site the last few years. You have doomed this thread from the start.

this

its the most unoriginal thing one could post and indicates you have no creativity what so ever

So it’s perfect for /prod/

I forgot to save each version and permanently fucked my mix.

That sucks. I had a hard drive crash and lost the projects for the few songs I did that I liked a few years ago and just got back into /prod/ the last month. Get back in the saddle quick.

No. I'm mad. I uninstalled FL and deleted the project and everything is a blur. This track has been through 3 iterations over two years and I couldn't quite get it to work until now. And I went and fucked it just like that. All I can see is red and I'm thinking about deleting all my tracks and ending it. Fuck my life. What a fucking idiot.

I think I'm just gonna play some Minecraft and relax for a bit, but I can't really think straight. I'm on the verge of tears. If I had a gun next to me I'd do it without a second thought.

Fuck this shitty track anyway.

That's the /prod/ I know and love.

>make cool lego ship
>break it
>can’t make it ever again
i remember crying

bump

prod is dead

unfortunate

The board is way too fast now with all the shitpost threads. We need to figure out a way to bump things frequently without becoming a cesspool like /kpg/. My advice as a short term stopgap until we figure out what that is would be stop responding to shit threads at all or saging if you do. Ignore and hide the racebaiting/politics, pepe/wojak OP, time wasting question threads. If we can't manage that then maybe it's time for distributed /prod/ where we're just posting about production of different genres in the generals.

Guys guys. I fixed my mix. Ok, I will take a break now or I'm gonna go deaf.

wip jam track I've been putting together for me and my friends. it's short because it's meant to loop

Good to hear. Going to start working on my own track in a minute.

Add a steel drum somewhere in there and you got a nice summer in the islands tune.

auto-panners are the worst thing to happen to music. lower it. all else is good

Not that user but what's wrong with autopan?

what makes a chord loop go loop?

learn functional harmony and how to voice chords/voice leading

tldr: secondary dominants, leading tones etc.

does Vocaroo result in a loss of audio quality no matter what? not that this sounded great to begin with (it's just a bit of noodling around) but I'm trying to figure out if there's an issue with how I recorded it or if Vocaroo just reduces the quality of whatever gets uploaded to it: vocaroo.com/1bechN1G2AVR

sounds a little thinner than what I had originally recorded.

Why are there a billion tutorials on how to write raps and none on how to perform them?

Long live /prod/!

Ampharos

someone choose a bpm and makes the drums
someone does rythm
someone does lead
someone dos vox

Currently using a pair of JBL 305mkii, they are rear ported, I have them about 3/4 off a foot off the wall. Slightly concerned about being able to accurately judge the low end of my tracks. How can I determine the porting frequency of my monitors / know which low end frequencies have issues in my setup so that I can mentally compensate for them?

flip your monitors upsidedown
not on their side

How to achieve this sound design?

beat repeat on ableton or delay pedal

Beat repeat maybe…delay of course. I don’t know if beat repeat was a thing in 2002.

First time I saw Beat Repeat was version 5, and that was 2005.

Doesn't mean that Robert Henke didn't have a Max/MSP version before that and shared it with friends?

Pretty sure Apparat used Cubase at that time and also made a custom max/map patch called !dschihad

I suck so bad, bros. I'm sick of it, what do? Been at it for 3 years and a half.

Perhaps it's a question of not challenging yourself enough. If you're always drifting aimlessly making whatever tracks you please I don't think you'll see much improvement. So just challenge yourself to do something you've never done: i.e. make a true 8-but track (5 channels, 50hz to 28khz) and make it sound good. Try doing a salsa mix, write an EDM track, etc. etc. Make it sound good obviously, otherwise you're losing your time. Then you go back to whatever you're doing but with a new set of ears, so to speak.

At lest that's how I would try to get out of a plateau.

I can't make anything sound good unfortunately, but thanks for the suggestion!

I feel like the chorus section is pretty good on this beat but the verse sections are ass in comparison. What should I work on in this beat.
