And they where some of the best issues we've had in a while. That huge crossing over event was just a mess. I got respect for the staff but trying to push the fembusters has nearly ruined shit.

Yup. Hopefully after this year things will settle down (because I can guarantee we'll get TMNT/Ghostbusters 3 before the year is out).

The TF crossover is mainly because it's the anniversary of both, and Hasbro got the toy license for Ghostbusters.

But I do wonder what happens with the upcoming Ghostbusters film, because it'll take place in the future (or present of the 2010's).

Honestly Im amazed the comic is even still going at all sometimes.

Get in with the TMNT/Power Rangers/Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters crossover.

I must check that one.

The busters and turtles have way better chemistry. Transformers, really just doesn't mesh as well. The IDW turtles actually really feel like an organic fit.

Keep in mind it's the IDW TMNT universe, so there's references in there of things that happened in the book.

I think it's mainly because the Transformers backstory had to be modified to coexist in the IDW Ghostbusters universe, so now you're wondering what a lot of the characters' backstories are like. Plus on top of that only Optimus and Ectotron are really involved with the story. With the TMNT you got all four Turtles and see how their personalities interact with the Ghostbusters, like Donatello getting along pretty well with Egon and Ray. It also probably helped that there were two minis.

You also had Kylie and Janine doing stuff which is nice, but there was also a lot of time for more meaningful character stuff. In the second mini Peter actually gives Mikey a shoulder and an ear when the later was trying to make sense of the stuff that was going on in his own book. Everything in Transformers just feels so stock. Like you know neither series is going to so much as mention any of this again.

I dunno. I've been finding it a touch underwhelming. A good part is do to me not being a TF fan, I'll admit but after 4 issues outside of some good jokes I don't think they really did a lot with the material the same way they did the turtles book.
