It's weird isn't it? Alot about Steven Universe strikes a wrong chord with people, yet somehow, Spinel was like lighting in a bottle where she hits all the right notes and became insta-hit with a lot of people. What did Spinel do different?

For one thing, the voice actor sells a lot of her big moments really, really fucking well.
Also, somehow, despite singing her entire story, it's a lot more subtle in her portrayal, in her character acting, little things, like the look of betrayal as Steven wields the scythe at her.
