Anyone else feel like the episodes might not have aired in chronological order?
In "Trip to the Archives" Hop Pop is talking about how the mountain pass will clear up in one week and it's almost time to leave the valley and find Anne a way home.
But then a couple episodes later in "A Night at the Inn" it opens with them at the mountain pass still frozen over and Hop Pop says it's still going to be a few weeks before the snowpack melts.
It's possible since snow day aired between those two episodes that all the snow threw off Hop Pop's calculations, but I'm not so sure.
Especially since "Reunion" ends with Sprig talking about coming up with some kind of a plan to get Anne home as the family looks out beyond the valley.
Now with the season 2 promo art that seems to show them going on some sort of a road trip, it seems like these episodes might possibly take place after reunion.

My favorite is Reunion for sure, but surprisingly the Bessie episodes were top tier. Hop-Pop definitely my favorite. I expect better animation since Disney has seen their better ratings and will most likely give them more budget. Despite what everyone else in this board says, I think Marcy will be the person that will stop Sasha and Anne from fighting.

Considering Anne's personality and feelings thus far, I don't think Sasha really "needs" to do anything to please Anne beyond expressing genuine remorse for trying to split Sprig in half and her prior behavior. It's Sasha who will be intent on carrying out some grand melodramatic gesture at first, only to come to that realization later.
Sasha is the one who wants SashAnne, and in order to accomplish that she simply has to move at Anne's pace and guide her to that conclusion.

I don't think I would take the intro as hard proof of the fate of Marcy's photo. We see Anne using a tennis racket against the mud guys in the intro, but she doesn't use it against them in the actual episode with the mud guys.
The photo might just be like that in the intro for symbolic value.
There is also the justification of narrative escalation to make a case for Marcy being for the toads. Newts seem to be more aristocratic compared to the frogs and newts, so a "bigger bad" after dealing with Grimes the toad and Sasha might be a newt that Marcy is working with.

Knights were nobles, user. They typically held the rank of baron, and had small land holdings with peasants working for them. And urbanization doesn't work very well with the feudal model. The newts probably have some control over events in the valley, but it's not as feudal nobles. And if the toads were really feudal knights, they would care about the wellbeing of the frogs, since a productive peasantry is necessary for the knights to have a decent quality of life. So they'd be busy hunting down frog-eating monsters and clearing out bandits/cannibals.
