Keep the lonely tone, small character count, and alienating, puzzular design of the train cars from the first episode. Make the the villain either a logic driven force of the universe that can't be beaten.
No offscreen cars.
Make the numbers on her hand a timer, since that'll help force the pacing which was a problem with the show. Using the timer to measure the Tulip's character arc was retarded because it made the count down meaningless and made the train just look like a magical therapist (which is fucking boring) rather than something alien and intimidating like it was in the first episode.
