The purist anger, the forced memes about Jake Goldman, and the controversy over Donnie were all more interesting than the show itself. Those are a distant memory now, and nuPPG wishes it were bizarrely awful enough for people to hate watch. There's nothing to talk about.

It was magical girl stuff.
Just imagine ppg with much less violence. The girls arent at all related to the professer or sisters and they have to keep their identities a secret.

is right. It's essentially a magical girl show. Also Blossom is a dumb boy crazy slut.

It was extremely toned down in terms of violence.

A number of reasons.
1) CN didn't bring back the girls VAs but brought back others pike Mojo and Prof for some reason
2) Character design and models are less appealing and less strict to staying on model. For the girls, this causes them to lose their 'cute' elements.
3) Significantly less action, replaced by modern awkward situation humour and social problems. Overall just less entertaining stories.
4) Blisstina. Their secret black sister thats taller and stronger. For really.
5)Twerking powerpuff girls

To name a few reasons, the ones that come to mind. Aftet awhile it just kind of faded into the background and people only begrudgingly acknowledge it exists when asked about it.

It's not like people were defending the show itself. But you had a fucking verified lolicon self insert broadcasting his fantasies for children to see on TV. And people just went "huh, weird" at worst.

Directionless writing and planning that went against even the original shows rulebook. You can see it in the show's animation errors as well.

Not asking the originals to come back was a great sleight against everybody who worked on the original show.

I would say tying to bring back the past instead of paving the future, but CN's latest lineup is pure dogshit despite being original AND new so I guess CN just sucks.
