Why the fuck is All Star Superman a Black Label book?
Why the fuck is All Star Superman a Black Label book?
it's an imprint that they are reprinting their big trades under
because the intended audience for this comic is adults
It's a holdover from when Black Label was allegedly for top tier talent books. Before it became the "Arrrrrrr-Rated oh shit what are we doing label" for good reasons and not because of incompetence
they are going to redo the art to add in Superman's penis
>alternative
Fucking liberals ruining everything, why do you cucks even like this propaganda shit
>we need a special high quality version of the material to appease the base that we're alienating out of the hobby
what could go wrong? Its cape shit people will NEVER stop buying it no matter how bad it gets
>Why
#didiot
Because contrary to Yea Forums's meme misconception, Black Label is just "Elseworlds brought back under a new name" and not "DC MAX". All of the out of continuity minis and shit are being reprinted under the Black Label branding.
Black Label's not even R-rated. Most of that shit is firmly in the PG-13 range. The WB people don't want DC publishing R-rated material anyway, so there was no way Black Label was going to ever go that direction permanently.
Literally EVERY modern comic is intended for adults. I've literally NEVER seen a kid in any of the LCSes in my city.
Because it's the good shit.
Why. It just make DC Black Label the new VERTIGO?
I just wanna read more about Spyder Jerusalem
But even if comics were written for kids, they wouldn't read them. Kids don't even watch cape films.
Librarian here, can confirm. Kids are interested in playing Minecraft and reading books about Minecraft.
Anybody else hate that awful Black label logo on the book?
Yeah, but doesn't rustle me anywhere as much as cropping the art like that for no reason
If you seriously think AT&T will allow DC Comics to publish anything other than superhero comics featuring characters from movies and TV show then you're naïve as fuck. DC Comics exists only to market AT&T's superhero IPs to drive more people to the movies and TV shows and merchandise, which is where the actual money is made. Any possible profits from the comics are so irrelevant to AT&T that it doesn't matter to them.
Also technically the series is only titled Superman, and was published on their All-Star label. So shouldn't it be Black Label Superman now, instead of Black Label All-Star Superman?
That was the first thing I noticed. It looks awful. I actually like the logo itself, but it looks like shit on THAT cover.
Then again, the fucking company is technically called Detective Comics Comics. Disregard that.
>whining about something that's not even there
>technically the series is only titled Superman, and was published on their All-Star label
False. The "All Star" branding was absolutely intended to be part of the title.
The man already had his story. Let him rest in his garden user.
