>hey guy I just met from another dimension here is the most powerful weapon in the world
The plot of this movie was pretty weak you have to agree.

Part of him felt too unready for them so he just tried to pawn the glasses, and the accompanying responsibility, off to the first adult figure he could trust (not Fury though, he's too scary and black for that)
I agree. I was expecting the glasses to reveal the con. Also, really tedious how dimwitted the school class was. They took a trip from Prague to London to get on a flight back to the US?! AND NONE OF THEM WONDERED WHY THEY DIDN'T JUST GO TO GERMANY OR A CLOSER AIRPORT?!
I was in the bathroom so I don't know if they explained that.
>INSIGHT PROJECT IS BAD! HYDRA BAD! YOU CANT HAVE A GUN IN THE HEAD OF THE WORLD! KILLING PEOPLE THAT YOU DON'T LIKE!
>OhTony, 100.000 killing drones with the ultimate destructive technology orbiting the planet, also they can kill people if you want! even a kid! he's a real hero! Tony, I love you 3000000000000000000000000000
It's a pair of glasses, not a monocle.
>HI AUDIENCE!
>I'M EVIL!
>THIS GUY OVER HERE IS EVIL TOO!
>AND THIS STRONG WOMAN IS ALSO EVIL!
Baby's first capeshit.
Why didn't EDITH give Peter a rundown on Beck BEFORE handing them over?
Same reason why tony didn’t give steve Edith to hold for peter until he was old enough...to own a doomsday machine? Because the movie needed to happen
>tfw no more Jake Mysterio
I was hoping he would turn up again down the line, maybe as part of the Sinister Six like some were speculating. Can't happen now though.
Fuck off dcuck.
>I was expecting the glasses to reveal the con
Because "Quentin Beck" isn't his real name, you morons. He deliberately praises Guterman, the script writer, for coming up with "a soldier from another Earth named Quentin fighting space monsters in Europe"
For all we know, the true identity of the "former Stark employee who created BARF" is Jake Gyllenhaal or Joe Smith or Who Fucking Cares.
Plus, he could easily pass it off as "yeah, that was 616-Beck. I'm 833-Beck."
>>tfw no more Jake Mysterio
Painful feel, user.
So it was a comic book plot
Did Jake say at any point that he was a Marvel Studios loyalist and that he would never reprise the role for Sony?
I mean, I honestly doubt he was going to reprise it anyway. The dude really dislikes big blockbuster stuff. Not to mention his contract with Marvel made him do things he hated, like making social media accounts to specifically promote the movie.
EDITH has facial recognition though
Because he didn't ask
>Tony and Cap having opposing views on a contentious issue
Wow. That's completely unexpected. That's so monumentally out of character for these two people who are widely known to agree on almost everything to suddenly disagree like this. I would never think the MCU would do something like that.
DAILY REMINDER:
KEVIN FEIGE DOES NOTHING WRONG
>most powerful weapon in the world
It was a swarm of flying pew-pew drones.
Spider-Man took them out personally, by himself.
They weren't shit compared to SHIELD's AI driven Death-from-Above Helicarriers.
Feige has done so much right by this point, I could forgive him some pretty big mistakes.
Pretty sure Fury would have been pissed knowing he could've had those helicarriers from Winter Soldier for the fight in Endgame. Hell they would've been great for the Wakanda battle in Infinity War.
I think the Carriers were intended to kill most of the people who fought for Earth in the Endgame battle. Also, Thanos couldn't win decisively with a massive battlecruiser with much more advanced weapons.
>most powerful weapon in the world
Not even close. It was just some drones. Not even an army of iron mans
Why didn't EDITH help with the fight against Thanos? Was she on leave?
Based Jake saying fuck to Disney.
I want to see more of them being gay
London's slightly closer, I suppose.
I'll always hate Tony and the people who praise him for this shit, it's the most authoritarian bullshit yet it's accepted bruise he's charismatic and quips.
Nah, that speech was clever. None of them were evil aside from Beck, just your typical Marvel scientist who surprisingly keeps getting gigs instead of getting thrown into jail after the villains are busted.
>The plot of this movie was pretty weak you have to agree.
BREAKING: Teenager makes a stupid fucking choice because he is too young and inexperienced to know better!
If you've been a teenager and no longer are, think back on some of the choices you made. Think about how much they made sense to you when you did, and how fucking stupid they were with the hindsight that not being a teenager provides.
Plot wasn't the problem. They even neutered Fury so he'd be stupid so it could go through without a hitch, and gave a plot-based reason why he was.
>just met
Beck "defeated" multiple elementals and he had Nick Fury to back him up for his presentation. It gave him credibility.
I do agree.
He was also willing to sacrifice himself to destroy the Fire Elemental
Was a real good story about Power and Responsibility, hella fun, can’t wait to watch it again at home
Because Peter didn’t ask for any information on Beck, the system is made to follow Peter’s commands, it’s not going to provide Peter with any information unless commanded to do so, further more, Beck didn’t do anything to warrant a criminal record until he became Mysterio, the most EDITH would have shown was that Beck is an ex-stark employee, and Peter would continue to believe Beck’s story about the Multiverse.
This isn’t something subtle that was hidden in the movie for sharp eyed viewers, it’s a big part of the movie, EDITH follows Peter’s commands exactly as they are spoken.
according to some insiders, Sony and Disney were going to get together this week to negotiate the whole Spider Man deal again, wonder what's going to happen
This is also super obvious when he's looking at Beck's body on the bridge.
>Is he...is this real?
>All illusions are down, Peter.
Dumbass should have just asked if he was dead.
trip got cut short, they had to leave right away
Speaking as someone who did a study abroad trip back in high school, I don't think they honestly cared what the flight itinerary is like.
I'm more pissed none of the past five Spidey films are going to matter. It's more or less gonna be a reboot even if it's still Holland because two big companies who'd make more money working together can't fucking work together. The snap? Tony dying? People just popping back into existence? Happy and Aunt May? Nah fuck it, just throw whatever at the wall now. We Sony we TOTALLY got this! At least with it being tied to the MCU there were people somewhat guiding things and it had a clear direction. Now it's just going to be whatever Sony wants to slap together to keep that Spidey film every other year quota going.
I thought they were still negotiating? Disney's pretty retarded if they don't just offer a decent deal.
How the hell are Sony to blame, Disney are the ones who got greedy and I am glad somebody was willing to tell Disney to fuck off for once.
they're still negotiating, the thing is not actually over until an official non MCU Spider Man movie starts production, which imo should be a total reboot just for the lulz, but the reality is that Sony is going to keep Holland because that's who they favored back in the casting process
To me I don't care, I find it funny to think that Spider Man was actually just in Tony's head, he was never real
I didn't say Sony was to blame, just that I don't trust them to actually do well with Spidey solo. Disney is stupid for not offering a deal that was better for both. All because I like Spidey in the MCU doesn't mean I'm all in for Disney, and just because Disney is greedy doesn't mean I have to be all on board for Spideys movies being helmed by the folks who gave us Ghostbusters 2016.
I love them, bros.
It's okay Sony will take over from here, no more cringe Disney shit.
Get ready for the award winning break out star of Into The Spiderverse, the one TRUE spiderman for this generation: Miles
People can’t relate to Peter Parker being spider-man any longer i think it’s the hyphen
this
>BREAKING: Teenager makes a stupid fucking choice because he is too young and inexperienced to know better!
That's the biggest problem. It was called Spider-Man and not Spider-Teen. As the real Spider-Man wouldn't have bungled it like Holland did.
and what’s it going to pick up? That Quentin Beck is a former employee and that’s all, prior to this film he has zero criminal reeds that would bet off red flags for that kind of software, and further more it doesn’t do anything to convince Peter that Beck’s story about the Multiverse is false.
Former employee that created hologram tech.
And? Considering he saw actual water and fire and damage being done, merely saying that the dude once created holograms doesn't seem to explain away the rest of that
Anons, it all becomes simpler when you realize Peter was a hormonal, horny teenager confronted by Jake Gyllenhaal.
>why is a traumatized 16 year old trying to get his end away making rash decisions? lol silly!
Okay? So, unprompted, EDITH is going tell Peter that Beck made a hologram program that Stark stole from him? What in the fuck world do you live on bro? That also does nothing to disprove Beck’s Multiverse story for Peter, and Peter only discovered the hologram tech after he had given up the responsibility of that powerful weapon to Beck.
I can only imagine how hard it would be to used EDITH if it began to give you an unprompted detailed summery of every single person that line up in the lenses of the glasses.
You must have never read a spider-man comic before
Not the OP, but a person would legitimately have to be braindead in order to hand over control of something as dangerous as Edith to someone that they met just a few days ago. It doesn't matter if Peter thought he was a good guy, Nick Fury was literally right there. How the fuck do you hand over invisible assassination drones to a random dude that you just met instead of the guy that not only formed the Avengers but is also known as one of the greatest spies and allies of freedom?
Mighta has something to do with Peter, a 16 year old kid a year removed from a life changing event, had fought along side him, twice, believed his story, and even saw that Beck was “willing” to sacrifice his life in order to stop the Fire elemental. You’re acting as if Peter saw him on tv, then ran into him at a bar and then gave him the shades, when that’s not what happened at all.
Gays of Yea Forums, between Steve Rogers and Erskine where would you rate Beck?
Ah yes because there are no women in the internet, correct? Only straight and gay men, nice going.
Well anyway as a bi man (LMAO), Beck is a 9 next to Steve who's a 10.
Or a hormonal teen who thinks Beck is hot
