Demon Slayer will be joining Toonami at an undetermined date this fall. It will likely replace either Super or Gundam.
This week, to the surprise of many, we avoided a Labor Day marathon and enjoyed the normal schedule. And that was the right choice as the night performed very well, one of the better ones have seen in awhile. Nothing really stand out, just a nice gradual slide down to the end. Even Lupin managed to not embarrass itself for once. At this point, it’s more than safe to say marathons are completely unnecessary for modern Toonami.
Mobile Suit Gundam rekting Naruto power hour today was a great day .
Xavier Parker
>OK ratings >demon slayer coming >Junji Ito coming Hope restored!
Jonathan Russell
how fucked is the block once super ends?
Noah Reed
Its gonna hurt, I really doubt Demon Slayer is going to be able to get those numbers.
Aaron Jenkins
based Gundam getting a big bounceback
Jace Ward
threads ganna die from SU spam around 3am eastern.
William Lewis
So what? Those numbers don’t translate to anything else. If anything else we will be better off going FG ->anything but Super because FG watchers at least give the stuff a chance
Kayden Carter
At least it's not quite as bad as Korra or Jack spam. That was crazy.
Liam Brown
so the brown flower eye girl is just steven universe tier redeemed and is now an ally throughout the series?
Jason Davis
Yes, and she's a love interest. She still keeps her personalty if that's worrying you.
another option would be: the one where sans is in peters shape and other shit and i got bored typing this gl with memes
Levi Jackson
Chode Clover humilated and raped again for the 4th week in a raw by based Gen:Lock, Dr. Stone, Fire Force, & Food Kino.
What the fucking excuse you chodes gonna have now? Showing later isnt an excuse becuase Gundam comes later in brough in more views. And that is second to last. Now cope.
Bitch please. You faggots would be stroking your cocks extra hard if Black Dildo got higher views than the other 4 before it. Don't even.
Also you fags are the ones that always bitch and praise when a new anime gets shit spots and low views than other shows. Dont sit here and pretend you dont.
Mason Ramirez
You are a sad little loser
Brody Cox
You sound alone. Like you were 100% against BC when it was first announced and suddenly you had other friends as you parroted what they said and some of them what you said and over time more and more people started liking it and you were still in the negative nancy corner. alone.
Joseph Fisher
Not gonna mention Gundam flexing on Boruto and Naruto? It's done really well the last couple weeks. Shows that when you're not airing Iron Boring Orphans the brand can shine.
John Jenkins
maybe people DVR it? i know im hammered around that time and even tho its on all the time i have no idea what the fuck is going on and the time leapfrogging are fucking with me hardcore
Daniel Diaz
What you didn't like the 80% talking of IBO?
Henry White
Super into Genlock: Lose 37.9% Genlock into Stone: Lose 9.5% Stone into Fire: Lose 8.8% Fire into Food: Lose 8.6% Food into Clover: Lose 9.7% Clover into Boruto: Lose 6.0% Boruto into Naruto: Lose 6.4% Naruto into Gundam: GAIN 8.7% Gundam into Lupin: Lose 7.6% Lupin into Hero: Lose 1.4%
Why is Sunrise going for the UC-heavy shows to dub? Origin is fine but not knowing the further context robs a bunch from the show.
Robert Scott
Its pretty much the most popular gundam series, only thing that beats it here in the states is wing.
Brody Gutierrez
because 0079 is 40 years old and is ingrained as much in anime culture as Star Wars is to pop culture. if you don't know what the story is by now you've been living under a rock or are an 8 year old
You mean the one everyone insisted would start in July? Nobody knows when or even if that shit is coming. And even if Toei took it from Funi, that means it gets handed off to one of the other big 3 distributors, all of which are not openly hostile to Toonami like Funi is
Ian Lewis
Meant for
Chase Richardson
It would fit but the dude has zero range at all, it just wouldn’t work
Blake Hill
No, but he has let the fame of being the voice of the most iconic anime character ever go to his head and inflate his ego to dangerous proportions.
Benjamin Phillips
>Not an argument. Cope.
Bentley Cooper
I know. I just love Seitz.
Jaxson Scott
its weird to greentext yourself, guess that is your coping mechanism
Colton Murphy
I wonder if he'll dub the Tokyo Olympics.
Grayson Ross
I've been away for like 2 years. What's the current stream? Figure it would be better to ask now than on Saturday night.
>Can't handle a franchise with multiple continuities Look at this fucking normie.
Carter Johnson
Same as it’s always been
Camden Anderson
>its weird to greentext yourself, guess that is your coping mechanism Still not an argument. Fuck off.
Liam Hughes

Jackson James
Really? I didn't bother checking cause I figured it'd be nuked by now. Wow, it's really stood the test of time.
Kayden Ortiz
Family Guy watchers didn't stay for My Hero Academia, so I don't know why you think they will stay for anything.
Gavin Powell
>Better question is that if Sabat does get the boot, who will take over for All Might in S4? Troy Baker.
Camden Myers
Richard Epcar
Connor Martin
Okay, checking back, livetoons is shot and murdered, latest king stream I have is shot and murdered, what else we got? Or what iteration is King on? Still the same site?
And? Wow one movie got views, it would be something if CN got those numbers all the time.
Ryder Sullivan
>Thinking Troy Baker is in the same bracket as anime now. Good thing we still have Matt Mercer.
Blake Harris
No proof it will happen, and it's just a bunch of Ken-samas claiming their dad works at Toei
Joseph Williams
Anime can’t afford Troy Baker
Luis Fisher
Except they did. MHA did great when paired with FG
Leo Bell
So we should be hearing what replaces Genslop in the next week or so, right?
Joshua Miller
>1.5mil for a movie that was shilled that aggressively I’m legitimately not impressed
Hunter Fisher
Might be Demon Slayer, unless their endgame with that is to have it be the lead show
Angel Lee
telling me to fuck off is also not an argument >go away stop being right i know im wrong but dont want to admit it this is an argument, called it double stamped it no givesiesbacksies no erasies
Zachary Gonzalez
>massive drops >great lol no
Landon Nguyen
Reminder that One Piece is the greatest selling comic book of all time, WORLDWIDE!
>Toonami didn't shit the bed >Netflix decided to stop sniffing glue and will release animu weekly >TMS is getting a Switch port >Sans is in Smash What an odd day this is
>Netflix decided to stop sniffing glue and will release animu weekly shit really? Are they starting with next season?
William Gutierrez
Well what would you have commissioned?
Owen Hughes
>Trigun Maximum. >Cowboy Bebop season 2. >Bleach: The Final Arc. >Space Dandy Season 3. >Deadman Wonderland Season 2.
They are incompetent.
Ayden Thompson
Oh, right. I forgot he's filthy union scum now.
>Good thing we still have Matt Mercer. Damn, I want to hear his best stereotypically heroic voice now.
Mason White
Nothing is announced yet, they said they're gonna "test the waters" for certain shows
Gabriel Anderson
??? He just did new lines for the new cutscenes in Catherine Full Body as the MC, along with Laura Bailey
Levi Jenkins
>Cowboy Bebop season 2. Why would anyone want that? It's ending was great. It would be like FLCL S2/3 all over again and just shit on it's legacy. Doubt Watanabe would want to do that too. And they made a movie anyways, and that's just fine.
Nathan Miller
>TMS wut?
Jace Davis
#FE or the censored idol shit that is SMTxFE
Jace Martin
the outlaw star sequel the creator has been trying to get off the ground for 20 years throw money at the trigun guy for whatever new thing he wants to do sequel to G Gundam throw money at the ghost in the shell guy for whatever new thing he wants to do a proper pili dub
Luis Phillips
No, he is a fucking retarded edgy teenager
Cameron Richardson
>he just did lines for (video game) What is your point?
Aiden Cruz
isnt gits s3 in the making? isnt the trigun guy in jail? lol gundam would support outlaw star but isnt one of the VAs like the mayor of Australia or something?
Oliver Evans
>being upset at anyone distancing themselves from the shit anime industry It’s always funny seeing people mad at Baker for wanting to actually make some money for his work
Grayson Johnson
I'm pretty sure Toonami actually gets the airing rights to Dragon Ball Super through Toei of America. Funimation wrapped in Super's dub last month, so Toonami will still receive the final episodes even if something happens on Funimation's end.
Dominic Price
>isnt the trigun guy in jail I think you have Nightow confused with someone else.
Parker Sanchez
Anime and video games are equal parts bottom of the barrel, and the video game in question is a dubbed anime video game so that's the lowest of the low
Adrian James
>Trigun They couldn’t even get the original Trigun to air >Bebop S2 Literally why? Especially after you just shit on the pointless FLCL sequels. Why are those bad but a soulless Bebop reboot is ok? >Bleach Acceptable, but it would be like Inuyasha Final Act with shit pacing >Dandy Just like Bebop, doesn’t need more >Deadman Acceptable, but realistically not popular enough to warrant doing
>outlaw star Never got funding because the series isn’t popular >Gundam Sunrise isn’t hard up >GitS Think someone else beat them to the punch >any dub Waste of money since they don’t own it.
Remember the lessons we learned from FLCL. Demarco WILL interfere in the production to remove most fanservice. So something like Dandy wouldn’t be good. Whatever we get is gonna be 10 episodes or less, so whatever idea you have better fit into that window
Ryder Nelson
Except they aren’t. Voice work for video games pays an assload in comparison to anime work. Yea, in the grand scheme both are low tier, but anime VAs are peasants compared to video game VAs
Xavier Barnes
>the outlaw star sequel the creator has been trying to get off the ground for 20 years The rerun got shit ratings so a sequel would be a waste of money
>throw money at the trigun guy for whatever new thing he wants to do >throw money at the ghost in the shell guy for whatever new thing he wants to do That sounds like a waste of money
>sequel to G Gundam Does it even need a sequel and even then Sunrise would want a ton of money
>a proper pili dub Paying for dubs is dumb because they won't own it
>>Bleach: The Final Arc. Bleach lost a lot of popularity that this wouldn't be worth it.
Carson Morales
Alright but riddle me this user they STILL got Laura Bailey back for the Fruits Basket reboot dub
She obviously has a friend that works on the dub who begged her.
Carter Long
> demarco WILL interfere to remove fanservice
hey remember when they removed fanservice from flcl prog and everyone got uncomfortable boners for pregnant haruko
David Barnes
She had fewer jobs after Telltale went under, plus that was her favorite anime role ever apparently.
Brayden Reyes
>went under They're already bringing it back goyim
Mason Nguyen
What did Telltale have to do with her? Did't she get work voicing in AAA shooter games?
Nathaniel Phillips
how about Bleach: Kai
Blake Lewis
She was in a lot of their games. Probably pretty steady work.
Nicholas King
Some VAs may just do it for fun. Steve Blum still does Orochimaru even though he is done with anime. I don’t hear Laura Bailey in any new roles
Grayson Reed
No. Bleach had decent filler arcs, the main complaint about them is where they were placed in the episode order
Connor Nguyen
She's back in Catherine FB. I wish she could had done Rise one last time for P4DAN, I blame Atlus for not waiting. I do find that she is willing to do some of her more iconic roles. She reprised Maka in Soul Eater Not who is barely in this series.
food sex for wife material must hard yes might sexdoll
Jordan Carter
>The Super dub finished last week. we have several episodes left
Hudson Myers
I mean finished production. There is 4 episodes left, they are all dubbed
Chase Lewis
The Naruto/Boruto dub is union.
Cameron Brooks
Shit dude I don't fucking know. Here's what they need.
90's western inspired action cartoons with tons of gunplay and fighting. Mature down to earth story with no gay pandering. Multi-racial with obvious asians and not anime asians.
Martial art/action anime set in some strange universe.
Horror inspired action story.
Teen hipster bullshit with cool costumes and relationship bullshit.
There. Thats all of the shit that is popular with the casual anime fan.
Joseph Clark
How much does she weigh? Considering I will be carrying her
Leo Rivera
If only her taste in boys weren't so shit
Cameron James
He was in the new Baki anime, reprised his role in the Code Geass movie, and recorded new lines for Catherine. He seems to be in the Steve Blum/Crispin Freeman camp now.
Bentley Campbell
>dub user, it's a show for the american audience. It's not going to be in fucking english. The dub is going to be japanese and subbed by casual fans who can make it fun and not the asshole pro subbers who drain the life out of everything and took "nakama" away from us and it's potential place in the english lexicon.
Adrian Reed
An anime adaptation to push the envelope and live on the edge again.
> no gay pandering > popular with the average anime fan
it's a little late to backtrack something that's been in existence in anime since, well the start.
Samuel Hughes
This site is for evil people.
Jason Barnes

Can I put a bun in her oven?
Ian Barnes
>only 37.9 loss from super into Gen:Lock Did Super do worse or is Gen:Lock doing better? If it’s the later and that keeps up RT might just get that 2nd season after all.
Logan Roberts
So what you are saying is you actually suggested something immensely more impractical, gotcha
Liam Powell
Autistic people are not evil
Kayden Sullivan
Genlock is retaining a little better each week, but it’s gonna take a lot more than that to fund another season of this crap since they felt the need to stock it with premium grade A actors
Leo Bennett
cy.tube
Blake Smith
king is now on cytube
Asher Hernandez
You’re asking the wrong question. You should be asking what happens to Funi if Toei decides to take their license over DB away. Viz or Sentai would snatch the license and the cast would be forced to join other unions to keep their roles or get fucked
Landon Ward
Name five anime with hardcore american cartoon and netflix tier gay pandering that's ACTUALLY POPULAR with the average normie who watches anime. I'll wait.
Noah Walker
>Gen:Lock - September 21, 2019 >Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin - September 28, 2019 Will it finally happen this month?
>Hardcore and netflix-tier gay pandering What does this even mean?
Jose Hernandez
How? Make an anime for the western audience and have it dubbed. Bam Easy.
The bount arc went on and on and on and on and GODDAMNIT ON it was fucking AWFUL.
I would rather have Kubo and the guys who did the Bleach anime to remake bleach from jump and find a way to merge everythign together and make it not all sucky.
Just give the four stars guys some money and access to a couple of good writers and access to a half decent anime studio,
Parker Russell
Devilman crybaby.
Cameron Price
Nagai was doing that shit way before Netflix and the internet were even a thought.
Anthony Fisher
A dude getting hardcore buttfucked on screen?
Jace Sullivan
No, because his premise is flawed.
Lucas Evans
>>TMS is getting a Switch port Can't wait for it to flop again.
Tyler Adams
Yep. That sounds like Uncle Go alright.
Carson Kelly
>Uncle Go Who or what?
Jace Parker
So did /tg/ watch the SU movie like TOM(Dmearco) asked you to?
Oliver Clark
No, that shit is gay as fuck.
Daniel Foster
Nah, I just watched the sakuga webms and saved myself an hour
Mason Lopez
yeah i did was disappoint
Christian Anderson
>He doesn't know about based Go Nagai You serious, user?
Well I haven't heard of him being referred to as "Uncle Go" until now.
James Torres
Bount is widely considered the worst filler arc. The others aren’t hated nearly as much. Funny as it is, the Bount arc was also the only one to be properly adapted into the story rather than just dropped in the middle of a canon arc
William Harris
No. Demarco can eat my dick. I don’t owe his stupid ass anything after all the garbage pickups of his I have sat through
Robert Phillips
Nope, too girly and faggy for me.
Benjamin Campbell
>Expecting Toonami to pick up something good >Expecting Toonami to air an actual show for adults that they didn't co-produce Come on user, you know better than that.
Jose Foster
Since it got confirmed to be having 2 more seasons in the works, think we will see Shield Hero on Toonami?
>this FG episode >connie's party >quagmire shows up >connie yells for her mom (for help) >quagmire says "i like where this is going" took me 20 years, but I finally got that joke
Bentley Ross
Hibana from Fire Force is a major hotter and it funny and hot she has feeling for a teenager while she a full grown woman.
Isaac Wright
Why would we? If it was Toonami bound, we would already have it
Evan Gomez
So apparently Chris sabat is coming under fire for abuse and sexual favors?
Isaiah Stewart
holy shit i been watching a bit of demon slayer, its going to be one censored fucking trip.
i dont think demarco or anyone else on [as] proofread this shit holy shit
Logan Gomez
What's wrong with casting people while on a couch? Standing can get your legs tired and its not like their butt will hurt.
Angel Cooper
>this current genlock promo holy shit that looks so bad from the animation to the dialog to how it was "acted" out fucking 3 weeks left of that shit
Colton Russell
It’s a Jump series, so I’m pretty sure you are grossly overreacting.
Joshua Wood
We are getting close to the end of the suffering. Just a little more
Cameron Peterson
this is our punishment for not praising SAO
Daniel Morris
Gore's fine, it's the nudity we have to worry about getting censored.
Jackson Clark
Voynich Hotel adaptation.
Camden Cruz
That's the Kenshin guy
Cooper Hernandez
Blum done with anime?
Christian Stewart
Sao(minus the first arc) can suck my dick
Lincoln Hernandez
When you can be in Marvel or DC shows and other union jobs that could go on for years, you don't need to do anime dubbing (which is primarily non-union and one-in-done recording)
Christian Diaz
The only anime he's been in since Tiger & Bunny are series he was already in (Shippuden/Boruto, Durarara), dubs with Netflix money behind it (Baki, Ultraman), and FLCL Alternative (which was co-produced by Toonami).
Adam Parker
Demon Slayer dub cast when? Expectations?
Jack Walker
1:1 game to anime adaption of Ace Attorney that isn't shit. Also the games are split into seaons instead of putting two games in one season.
>Even Lupin managed to not embarrass itself for once. You have said this more than once.
Jackson Nguyen
You’re forgetting, the goal for RT is not to have it actually be financially successful. It just needs to be successful enough to convince Michael B. Jordan to shovel more of his own money into it.
Kevin Hughes
I hope not, the last thing Toonami needs is more isekai after how much pull the SAO dubs get.
Xavier Johnson
Cope.
Jonathan Sullivan
>2 more seasons On the one hand I do think Shield hero is one of the better Isekai anime out there. On the other hand, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!! WHEN WILL THIS GAY ASS ISEKAI FAD FUCKING DIE ALREADY?
Christopher Jackson
>Revive that canned Mad Max Fury Road anime project >An accurate full-on adaptation of the Gunnm manga that leaves in the canonical manga ending before The Last Order >Make a Persona 2:Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment anime based on the tone of this PV-youtu.be/tPIo5k2Zqu8 Just off the top of my head
Oliver Moore
Never. Kadokawa wants at least one isekai airing per season for the inevitable future. Just have to wait for the crash to happen like with battle harems, but there are no signs that will happen any time soon.
Lucas Foster
>Revive that canned Mad Max Fury Road anime project Wouldn't that just be Borderlands?
Gabriel Rogers
>canonical ending Absolute retard.
Ryan Smith
This probably isn't the end of *all* marathons. I expect Toonami will still do them for the last two weeks of December, because almost nobody's watching TV then.
Liam Wilson
i still dont understand this, all/most marathons were away from the actual holiday themselves
Chase Robinson
We need actual good isekai
Adrian Allen
Battle harems went strong from 2011 till about mid 2016. Hundred was the last cookie cutter one, and it flopped. That’s when battle harems stopped rolling out every season. So we will say they had a 5 year life. While SAO is isekai, it really was not the kicking off point for the isekai craze, Re Zero was in 2016. So if they follow the same path, we should see the generic isekai of the 2021 seasons crash and the super generic ones will stop coming
Jonathan Ramirez
Demarco has always been a stubborn jackass. Initially we were taking breaks for movies, but Demarco ruined that by shoving a bunch of reruns in our face and blaming us for not watching them. Then they felt they still need to waste those weekends so the marathons started.
We may get lucky. Remember, Toonami isn’t on at a typical time when people are out doing shit. It’s on when people are in for the day and are looking for something to do. I think that so long as the Fire Force and Dr Stone episode was dubbed that week, Toonami is going to air
Sure, but not as memey. >"Currently, the previous chapter is the canonical end of Battle Angel Alita. The story of Alita eventually continued in Battle Angel Alita:Last Order"-Yukito Kishiro Unless in this hypothetical situation LO is finished then Alita getting blown to bits will be how the anime ends.
I cannot disagree >super winding down to goku going full blown super ultra atominmous instinct and will kamehameha jiren out of the ring (but not endanger him) >been skipping out on genlock since the start so i dunno here >dr stone is feeling lackluster so far >fire force went from demon of the week to full blown infighting on an epic scale in the span of 5 minutes >FOOD WARS >BC still in a tournament arc kinda >i cant get into boruto since they got their headbands and it turned into "paying for my fathers sins" editions >lolnaruto >never could get into gundam >lupin is good but always drunk as fuck when its on >mha didnt even rerun united states of smash
Jace Cook
We got two unknown shows + Demon Slayer coming in the next month, so hopefully general block quality increases. It also helps that the shows being replaced are some of the worst ones currently airing
Justin Bell
>It also helps that the shows being replaced are some of the worst ones currently airing I honestly hope that you don't think Origin is the one of the worst out of all the current shows.
>boring dreck with zero waifu material The only blessing it brought was starting at 3am
Nathaniel Fisher
>Boring My initial reaction to its pick-up was negative but to my surprise it's actually one of the more engaging shows right now. The show really benefits from the weekly format since it's easier to maintain the viewer's attention compared to the hour-long ovas.
Logan Adams
I'd say I want Darin De Paul to be a voice actor on a Toonami show but we don't have any characters manly enough for him
Nathan Sullivan
So no Shield hero then.
Colton Brooks
>two unknown shows What are the guesses to what they could be?
Lincoln Wright
mhas4 opms2
Parker Reed
>find MHA doujin about midoria fucking one of the teachers >boner >find MHA doujin of midoria fucking one of classmates >flaccid but >find MHA doujin of the female classmates being total sluts to random people >boner i just dont know
Robert Murphy
>Fairy Tail just got its first console video game announced for PS4/PC/Switch >its not a musou or an arena fighter >they actually used their brains for once and its a fucking JRPG Holy shit, a little fucking late, I feel bad for the KLK game and especially the OPM game now.
>solid arena fighter vs >survive until saitama shows up i can understand feeling sad for the OPM game but cmon man
Daniel Flores
My reaction is more out of fatigue of most anime vidya (especially from Bandai) falling into either of those two camps. Doesn't help that Pirate Warriors fucking 4 is happening for whatever reason.
Adrian Walker
>That sounds like a waste of money Blood Blockade Battlefront did pretty damn well afaik, and Trigun is still a beloved property in western anime fandom. Nightow probably has enough clout now to get away with it.
Aaron Bell
doubt it, they didn't finish the dub of it yet because of the vic drama
Kayden Morales
Isn't Hibana in her early 20s while Shinra is 17 y/o?
It's gotten a lot better now that we're finally getting to the One Year War stuff, but the first few episodes were absolute dogshit. Going through the adventures of shota Char and loli Sayla weekly certainly did it no favors.
Daniel Parker
id watch an anime of a reincarnated man in a little girls body fighting for imperial strength of her country with rocket boots and muskets
Connor Butler
Hibana is 20 y/o (only 3 years older than Shinra)
Carter Long
I liked the Black Clover game. It was an Overwatch clone but decent
Jordan Wilson
>twink fuccboi with a high-pitched bitch voice is 17 Fucking Japan
Christian Hall
Is there a dub of Kemurikusa yet? Is amazon's license deal with Kemurikusa done yet?
Actually I don't care. They should do an unlicensed broadcasting of Subbed Kemurikusa on Toonami anyway. Do it, Demarco! I fucking dare you.
I had a high-pitched voice tillmy 20s so I can believe that. What bother me is Hibana wanting the Shinra's D after the falcon punch. I find it pretty stupid/weird
Gavin Johnson
Probably the same reason I feel weird fapping to any One Piece doujin where Nami and/or Robin fuck the other crew members, but I don't have any issue fapping to doujins where they fuck other people.
Sebastian Parker
Anyone wanting Shinra's D is weird even by anime standards. He looks like DmC Donte if he were in an anime.
Jacob Jenkins
Just finished it. Would be interested to see how they do boogiepop's dub voice
I'm really hoping they just have the voice actress go full Jeff bridges in big lebowskie with the voice.
Jacob Roberts
Which DMC Dante are we talking here, cuz Shinra don't look like the DMC Dante I know.
Oh really? I know it got delayed a few weeks but I didn't know they haven't finished it yet. Weird since Vic has nothing to do with it. I bet they stopped at the Bitch trial part.
no, Vic had nothing to do with it Rumors says the old VAs found the show 'problematic' and didn't want to be involved on it monstersandcritics.com/anime/the-rising-of-the-shield-hero-season-2-release-date-tate-no-yuusha-no-nariagari/ >The Rising Of The Shield Hero’s English dub also started airing mid-February and at first, the English episodes were airing the same day as the Japanese release. However, there were “unforeseen circumstances” in the dubbing process, so starting mid-May 2019 the Shield Hero dub will be delayed
Nathaniel Hill
>'problematic' what did they mean with that? i haven't watched the show so i really have no clue
Jason Garcia
>throw money at the ghost in the shell guy for whatever new thing he wants to do All he's literally doing is drawing military girls getting fucked by buff black guys in shitty 3d environments, bro.
The princess falsely accuses the MC of rape. MC is an edgelord about the that for a while and buys a child slave. The slave likes being a slave because MC-kun is just the best! Later on the princess gets her comeuppance at a trial and instead of executing her he has her renamed as Bitch.
>What bother me is Hibana wanting the Shinra's D after the falcon punch. I find it pretty stupid/weird Hibana wanted someone to save her deep down. Shinra in the manga was telling her to stop being a bitch and open her heart to people so she can get over her problems and that as he Hero he would come to save her if she really needed it so she could do this.
Hibana fell in love with the idea of hero saving her/did save her instead of just opening her heart to others. Same thing happens to Hibana's love rival who fell in love with Shinra's heroism. Now you have two girls in the Herobowl.
Blake Hughes
>Same thing happens to Hibana's love rival who's the rival? did she/he appeared already?
Zachary Flores
It’s too soon for MHA. They will probably replace the S3 rerun with it and shuffle the schedule to put it higher. Or leave it at 3am idk they said the ratings were shit
Thomas Peterson
>who's the rival? Pic related.
>did she/he appeared already? Yes. Tamaki. She's a tsundere just like Hibana for Shinra.
Whatever happened to Jump Force? Everyone was creaming their pants over that then it was just gone
Christian Gutierrez
It was a disappointment.
Dominic Adams
may i ask what the fuck is happening in that pic? is she another thot
Jonathan Morris
Pretty sure it’s dub is already mostly done
Justin Harris
I know this feel. It’s not even about Nami or Robin, it’s that I can’t believe anyone else on the crew would fuck them, or anyone for that matter. But Robin being gangbanged at a port for her own amusement works fine for me
Christian Peterson
>What the fuck is happening in that pic. Tamaki visit's Arthur and Shinra in their bedroom to tell them there is a meeting. Her lucky lewd syndrome kicks in and she's fall ass first on to Shinra's face.
it was shit because they tried to make the models too realistic and the story was stupid as hell
Thomas Hernandez
Didn’t he also make another anime about yuri cyborg girls?
Andrew Baker
>Just finished it Did you like it? >Would be interested to see how they do boogiepop's dub voice. youtu.be/ov90Yr-qwqM Going purely off of this vid, I think she sounds good. Obviously nothing compares to Aoi Yuki's performance but it's decent. >I'm really hoping they just have the voice actress go full Jeff bridges in big lebowskie with the voice. Might be expecting a bit too much from a Funi's Simuldub.
Hudson Ortiz
what the hell is a lucky lewd syndrome? is that her power besides the cat tail/ears?
Owen Morales
Were they upset about this because it reads more like a prophecy of the Vic trial?
Bentley Hughes
It pandered too much to the West and predictably flopped and did.
Christian Hughes
>what the hell is a lucky lewd syndrome? A curse that makes lewd situations happen to her. She falls and reveals her panties/butt or someone accidentally gropes her. When she was little Tamaki got bullied by other girls and called a slut/whore because of it in school before joining the Fire Force.
> is that her power besides the cat tail/ears? In a way.
Why the fuck would anything in it be censored? I swear to christ you sheltered babies have no memory. He aired black lagoon and hellsing ultimate with like zero cuts.
Adam Hall
Excellent taste but in order for it to be good I'd rather Toonami had nothing to do with Voynich Hotel.
Eli Moore
Pic related is fresh in everyone’s mind, but everyone is also retarded and doesn’t realize the only thing Demarco cuts is fanservice
the holidays people miss tv for are the ones we will get marathons for. like christmas and thanksgiving.
there's no real rule but this isnt hard people
Carson Perez
>Demarco: w-we didn't cut it, honest!
Brandon Carter
Thanksgiving is on Thursday, no one is missing Toonami for that. It’s also been the most sporadic week for marathons over the years, so even AS isnt sold that people miss that night.
My guess is at most we maintain the end of the year 2 weeks of marathons. But, there is a chance we even drop those if AS wants to stay tight with Funi simuldubs. I have a feeling they don’t want another Black Clover situation where they get further and further behind because of their own actions
Kayden Rivera
maybe there are people here who still dont understand but the video game industry is bigger than film industry. the Hollywood film industry. far bigger. once you break in there, doing anime voices in a couple closets in texas is literally a waste of your time as a VA and roles can then be picked and chosen based on personal affinity for the project
Anthony Thomas
>Fairy Tail just got its first console video game announced holy shit, it is the first. if its good it could boost fairy tail's popularity, get picked up and become a mainstay on toonami
Thomas Moore
Demarco hates it, no amount of success gets a show over that roadblock
Dominic Morgan
he is right but for the wrong reason
i am ambivalent
Hudson Lopez
demarco isnt the only one who gets to pick shows thats how we got pop team epic
Gavin Rivera
i though you said goblin slayer and got all excited
is there any consensus on demon slayer?
Colton Baker
Demarco is the only one picking up shitty shounen garbage though.
Charles Long
have you tried googling?
Josiah Moore
He isn’t though. Shittyness aside, Fairy Tail should have been chosen over Naruto back in 2012. It was newish, growing in popularity, and a solid second anchor show.
That’s rare and seems to only happen in dire situations, such as low ratings (PTE), or a serious time crunch (Food Wars, Fire Force)
Elijah Hill
Naruto is the better nostalgia bank, the primary Toonami strategy. it takes fairy tail 60 episodes to even get to a good arc, a passable arc more like
shippuden is arguably the same quality but is at least established with Toonami zoomers and milloomers
Dominic Gutierrez
looking for Yea Forumsa/ opinion summary, not a rotten tomatoes score, my man
Ryan Lopez
*160 episodes* sorry
Kayden Flores
It's one of the most popular and well received anime of the year. That's the consensus I guess. Personally I really like it too. It's shounen so if you're sick of that on the block, then you might not like it. Might not like the humor, especially Zenitsu.
>bank on nostalgia rather than a modern take on the block As I said, their first mistake
Eli Barnes
Fine. Story-wise it's a pretty typical battle shounen with a slow wind up. First couple episodes make it seem like a different sort of story, but it gradually sinks into the familiar swamp of cliches and formulaic arcs and character archetypes. It's got an interesting setting, being set in the Taisho Period (early 1900s Japan), but doesn't explore it too much. World building is not really a thing in Demon Slayer, don't be expecting a lot of in depth explanations for how or why anything works or is the way it is. The focus is very much on characters and what they're doing and their pasts.
As for production values, it's a very pretty show. Ufotable ordinarily does not do long running shounen series, this is a first for them, but they haven't slouched on it just because it's not their usual sort of project. The animation is great, the art is very distinctive and interesting. I wouldn't call this Ufotable's "A Game" overall, but they definitely showed some of their A Game in episode 19, which is probably going to be the peak of season 1. Can't see how it will top it.
John Barnes
>Might not like the humor, especially Zenitsu. Zenitsu is a character that could potentially really benefit from minor script rewrites. His constant shrieking puts me in mind of Asta from the early part of Black Clover in sheer obnoxiousness. Injecting some decent sarcasm and line reading into his scenes might be enough to save him.
Ryan Perry
Ain’t there a bitch with six arms in it?
Jordan Collins
She's a one-off villain that's in all of like 2 episodes. And only has six arms for part of one episode.
Charles Bennett
>My guess is at most we maintain the end of the year 2 weeks of marathons. But, there is a chance we even drop those if AS wants to stay tight with Funi simuldubs. They'd still have to take at least one week off because typically Japanese networks don't run new episodes during the week of New Years. They may not be able to have a smaller gap than the two weeks we already have for Fire Force.
Yea so what I think the plan will be going forward is that marathons on based on schedule choices at Funi. If they don’t dub one week for a holiday, then that’s a marathon holiday. So we may be looking at just New Years marathons going forward
Samuel Rodriguez
Nah son, Crispin Freeman is fucking great.
Isaiah Ward
i didnt even know it had gotten an adaption yet. i love being out of the loop for long periods
Brody Smith
No, Shitpudding has been time tested formula for ratings. While I don’t like it, it was an appropriate pickup for the block. The original Naruto was not
Daniel Wright
Hell yea now I’m erect
And now I’m angry but still erect

Like Fire Force. Seriously though all the footage and screens of the Japanese version says otherwise. But I'm not hoping my breath for them to 100% restore it and not leave it as this Frankenstein mess of censored/uncensored material.

Apologies for missing the mark; had a surgery two days ago and can actually function somewhat on top of moving. Anyway, here's last week:
11:00 Dragon Ball Super 680 0.33 421
11:30 gen:LOCK 399 0.20 253

2:00a Boruto: Naruto Next Generations 277 0.13 164
2:30a Naruto: Shippuden (r) 251 0.11 146
3:00a Mobile Suit Gundam: Red Comet 266 0.14 180
3:30a Lupin the 3rd: Part 5 () 260 0.13 164
4:00a My Hero Academia (r) 288 0.15 189
We're in a better place now. Might be time to stop worrying after all? Looks like the era of BC beating the shows before it is officially over with now. If we get a somewhat close simuldub for MHA S4, we're set for the near future. Somehow, the faggit bounced back and the people in scheduling are ensuring that he doesn't fuck up.
Jose Lopez
>trying this again >just minced onion >cheaper thinner steaks >cut the fat and most of the tendons >letting the steaks sit with the onion for a day and a half cant find pickled plums that arnt 10 bucks for a tiny jar or in a bigass jar for 10 bucks tho
It kinda what happened in the manga. He basically became the straight man to Inosuke obliviousness and Tanjirou country boy naiveness.
Noah Roberts
pickle your own
Alexander Rodriguez
oh, i was thinking it was just a good fanfake teaser kind of thing. thats ok, i think Luscious in Labyrinth is better as a just a manga anyway
Jayden Morris
Ganna do what I did last time and take the minced onions and mix them with spicy schesshwawan sauce and mix it with the rice.
Noah Hernandez
They have all the uncensored shit just laying around. I don’t doubt they will remove their hasty edits for the BD
Blake Torres
Don’t get too excited, they still need to choose two new shows in the coming weeks, as well as get over the giant speed bump of not rerunning Super
Isaiah Nguyen
Yea that’s Toonami in a nutshell unfortunately. Finally get out of a rut and put people’s worries to rest, then do something fucking retarded that pisses it all away
Logan Davis
They definitely will. It's just when you broadcast on TV you have to be sensitive because you don't know who will be watching the broadcast. Especially when affected people are in the industry. BDs though, that's fair game. They'd have to buy the BDs knowing what is in them to see it.
Eli Morris
>as well as get over the giant speed bump of not rerunning Super Toonami doesn't have enough gas to get over that hill, gonna slide back down and roll into rerun ditch.
Owen Campbell
>I really want Goblin Slayer Something Something Demarco Something Also the dub for Goblin Slayer really isn’t good at least in my opinion.
Isaiah Edwards
Kemono friends. Promote it as an intense crime drama about a stolen hat. Also air it at the end of the block so everone falls asleep to semi-lucid techno music.
Easton Campbell
No dubs are good. I’d rather watch something good, but with a mediocre dub than more crap
Julian Cooper
The anime isn't very good so that's fitting.
Carson Edwards
Living the dream
Levi Stewart
Is she farting fire?
Kevin Sanders
Congrats on a successful operation.
Jack Morris
What did you have surgery on?
Nathaniel King
id rather the opposite with Modoka Magicka >advertise it as a girly as fuck sol anime wait this might not work since it takes a few episodes to get dark
Noah Williams
Toonami is fucking terrible at promotion of shows with twists. They completely blew it on TPN, no way could they get a 3 episode twist right
Tyler Ramirez
Episode 3 is not the Tonal Whiplash that people hype it up to be. there's plenty of buildup and the color schemes and character designs are oppressively bleak.
If you want a real sudden shift in tone, Look no further than pic related.
How would they make a sustainable promo that describes the plot about orphans living a happy carefree life who then decide to break out, because 'reasons' without alluding to or outright revealing the twist? Without the show looking really boring as well.
Isaiah Wright
Is cloudflare fucking up again? Updating threads has been taking forever off and on. Also the page number is a question mark sometimes.
Anthony Sanchez
Working fine for me
Brayden Evans
That’s the risk you take with a twist show. You are gonna have to advertise the boring part, and hope your audience has enough brain cells to think “hmm, this doesn’t quite seem like a Toonami show, I better tune in to see where this is going”. There’s also the benefit of general word of mouth. All their promo did was ruin the buildup of the entire first episode
The state RWBY's in now and the way Rooster Teeth's headed, they should just scrap the current series and license it to Irodori. and coming from someone who suffered through the Snyder cancellations of cartoon network.
Bentley Phillips
Thanks. In between that and moving out, this past week has been a logistical hurdle.
On my foot; for reference, here's the operation (not mine) that I had done:
More related to Toonami, I wonder why we never got 91 Days? It'd be a good fit, especially since it's short.
Noah Wright
>still better CG than GenLock You don’t actually believe this right? RWBY and GenLock are train wrecks for different reasons but you’re fooling yourself if you genuinely believe current RWBY and GenLock aren’t significantly better looking than pretty much every use of CG in anime besides Land of the Lustrous. That’s a pretty low bar I know, but it’s the truth.
Oliver Lee
High Guardian Spice is going to be announced for Toonami sometime in the next few weeks. Don't say I didn't warn you.
At least stuff like Kemono Friends actually follow Eastern animation principles. Gen:Lock looks like it was made by people who have only ever heard of animation.
Joshua Ramirez
After what happened today it’s not a prophecy of anything lmao
Jaxon Gomez
Now what happened? Spoon feed me, it’s the only way I actually keep up with this
Levi Mitchell
Judge dismissed all of Vic’s claims except for the defamation ones, which he’ll rule on later.
Anthony Cox
Specifically the defamation claims against Funimation, Rial, and Toye are the only ones left.
Ayden Kelly
Kek RIP. Why the sudden dismissal?
Julian Martin
What were the other claims?
Dominic Butler
>Judge dismissed all of Vic’s claims except for the defamation ones this current climate sucks ass
Dominic Fisher
Because Vic’s lawyer is an imbecile who couldn’t answer any of the judge’s questions without tripping over himself.
Defamation from Marchi, inference, conspiracy, and a bunch of others. I think it was 14 out of 17 that got dismissed?
Brayden Jones
That's not exactly uncommon, is it? They make a ton of claims to prop themselves up but only their strongest ones make it through.
Brandon Martin
Here’s a handy dandy graphic for those curious.
I’m not surprised Jaime got cleared of all charges. Literally what did she even do besides tweet some shit?
You might be on to something if defamation was their strongest case. Their strongest case was torturous interference on the part of Monica and Ron. Libel and civil conspiracy are notoriously hard to prove and actually get a guilty verdict out of.
At this point i think Vic's real goal was to prove that no one is immune from being sued for slander and liable
Daniel Sanchez
I'll take that as a yes
Noah Green
>reruns >based Wrong
Samuel Sanchez
Bleach would be good if they somehow managed to skip the fucking filler seasons
Kayden Adams
What’s the point if it all gets thrown out? He would need to actually win something to prove any points, and at this point it looks like the entire thing is going down the tubes
Nathaniel Hernandez
Shame her and Ron's tweets can't be used as evidence of libel and malicious intent.
Austin Allen
Maybe if Vic hires a lawyer that isn’t such a ding dong
Nicholas Evans
So Jamie is out entirely, and Funi is almost all the way out. So in the end, nothing changes and at worst Monica and Ron get a slap on the wrist no one ever knows about. A disappointing conclusion to the 9 months of drama we had to sit through to get here
Liam Mitchell
The foolish objections of a foolish fool who has foolish dreams
Yea I kinda wonder how this applies to other studios. He is out at Funi, and he is out at Rooster Teeth. Is he completely blacklisted in the industry, or would Aniplex, Viz or Sentai still be able to hire him if they wanted to?
Logan Morris
Tamaki and Shinra are going be pumping out babies by the end of the story. I feel sorry for Hibana and Juggernaut, cuckolded and cuckqueened to be aunt and uncle roles.
He probably isn’t blacklisted, but all the other studios will get drug over the fire by SJWs if they hire him for anything, so they probably just won’t to avoid the drama
Zachary Sanchez
Well im pretty sure Viz will stick with him since there's the Rohan OVAs and Nardo
Leo Gomez
Then we stick with him. After all, Zoe Quinn started GamerGate 2.0
David Reyes
Kemono Friends and Kemurikusa are more than 5 frames per second, so that already makes them more impressive than gen lock by default.
Samuel Sullivan
>GamerGate 2.0 Oh gosh, it's happening again?
Jacob Jenkins
Princess stalks Shinra after falling in love with him.
All of the fuss about Tamaki reminds me of how hard they had to work around Bouquet's design and ability from the Blue Dragon anime when it aired on CN. Bouquet was the big tits 'useless' love interest, who had to get completely naked to use her invisibility powers. The dub reduced her chest to being flat as a board levels and gave her Sailor Moon mid-transformation sparkles whenever she was invisible while in the sub she was just naked and translucent.
More like his real goal was to cling to his fame and reputation for as long as possible. I mean it worked. Vic managed to squeeze more than half a year’s worth of celebrity worship out of this fiasco.
Aiden Hughes
I would still do sex to that even with the pickle rickle facade.
Gabriel Peterson
Bruh look at them chicken legs
Ethan Nguyen
Difference here is that was on CN. They had to do what they had to do. AS does not
Jayden Wood
>Vic Mcnuggets actually lost the case and 14 out of 17(!) charges were dropped on day one >all charges against Jamie Marchi dropped, she gets to walk free and is essentially removed from the case HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA
Colton Butler
I don’t think he lost since there are still some things going through. Though at this point it seems like it’s heading down that route regardless
Carter Gonzalez
It’s almost like the fags saying Vic had a slam-dunk case and was going to end Funimation as a company are exactly as incompetent as the fags who said Hillary Clinton had a 98% chance of winning.
I would hope this would shut up these celebrity worshipping cucks for a little bit but their probably just gonna start reeeing that the courts are biased and just keep doubling down on the sinking ship that is Vic.
Jayden Rivera
>day one Hasn't this been going on for months?
Christian Anderson
>Lost the case >Three charges are still there. user can't do math.
Joshua Barnes
Since January. Surprised it took this long for something of note to happen
Christian Gomez
Anyone who thought this case would be a slam dunk deserves the humility they were getting.
Monica and funimation probably regret not settling this out of court right from the start. They have a good chance of getting the remaining charges dismissed and a decent chance of any appeals failing, but the testimonies that came out from all of this and the rumors that spread out because of it were definitely not worth it.
I imagined he had a sliver of a case, but his attorney seems like a straight up huckster who doesn't really care because he's being paid either way
Jason Fisher
>reruns
Parker Ramirez
It still Idolcrap more saccharine than purseowner, It will flop again.
Jeremiah Flores
Spring maybe
Jeremiah Morgan
He lives in LA, most anime dubs are in Texas. Location differences are common reasons why voice actors get replaced so easily.
John Stewart
I'd figure we'll be getting a Part 5 announcement next month. Are the BDs even out yet?
Benjamin Flores
Even if it’s done in spring, I hope they sit on it till October. It’s just the right length for the month
Kevin Morales
Blum also flat out doesn’t want to do it because it pays piss
Kayden Mitchell
No. Which is why it won’t be announced next month. Viz only dubs BD footage
Justin Phillips
Yea this seems like a case of “winning” where Vic really isn’t any worse off, but there’s a whole new sect of people who hate Funi and Monica now. No clue how that translates to effects on Funi, I doubt much, but they still come out in the negative here.
The stuff that wasn’t dropped was the easymode stuff. What was dropped was what a skilled lawyer could have made a case with, but that’s not what we got
David Walker
This. If your going to put forth the effort to make your own horror adaptation, have the good sense to air it in the fall
William Flores
She came back for the new Fruits Basket but otherwise has only headlined a dub twice in the last 5-6 years: The wonky Saban version of Smile Precure as Cure Happy and P4: The Animation as Rise
Connor Brown
Despite the fact that the story and characters are abysmal to be generous, it's still a far from terrible Atlus rpg. The only things that are close to that quality on the Switch at the moment is the Lost Child and the soon to be released Digimon Cyber Sleuth collection. The game will be praise for its gameplay above all else and its success will live or die on word of mouth and the amount of FE:TH pandering it contains.
So will you guys finally shut up about this at the threads?
Evan Evans
I would really prefer a SMT IV + Apo remaster on the switch than KOWASHITAI.
Liam Hill
I promise to keep quiet until Vic shoes up in Golden Wind. or unfortunately if we get Tanya on the block, since it's really fucking hard to ignore her dub voice.
Andrew Adams
I would have preferred rereleases of either Desu1OC+Desu2RB, Strange Journey Redux+Soul Hackers, or Persona Q+Q2 port, anything other than #FE as the first Atlus Switch game.
What is the context for that webm? I haven't kept up with Pokemon in a long time.
Thomas Jackson
The judge is a conservative Christian Texan. I doubt he gives the slightest fuck about "current climates."
Zachary Brown
the tranny janny will just autosage us soon enough
Michael Scott
>tfw we are officially less than a month away from having a Toonami that doesn’t have Dragonshit on it Can’t wait for that glorious day
Jordan Thompson
i have no idea, the last time i watched pokemon ash didnt win the league
Parker Mitchell
>he doesnt think kai will rerun or get moved up >he doesnt think super will rerun oh user why
Jonathan Scott
Kai is already running on AS retard. And the only reason it’s running there is because the rerun did so abysmal they had to take it off the block. It’s still doing awful but they already paid for it.
Super is in an even worse position because of how many reruns it has already had
Jack Ramirez
suddenly broly movie
Blake Diaz
The Japanese BDs for Part 5 are up to episode 28. The set for episodes 29-32 is coming out next Wednesday, and at the current rate they should be done releasing in November.
We'll likely hear something about the dub in the next month or two.
Nicholas Harris
Consider it like going back to status quo. Revived Toonami wasn't even airing anything Dragonball related up until several years ago. Though just in case, I think they should add another show with previous generation appeal to get the ball rolling (I don't think Tenchi Ryo-Ohki aired on either Toonami or Adult Swim yet, we could also get old shows like Yu Yu Hakusho or Case Closed/Detective Conan back) or at least air Jojo Part 5.
Parker Barnes
>Case Closed/Detective Conan You want an anime that's literally longer than One Piece?
Colton Lewis
We will never get another Tenchi because of GXP and old show GET SHIT RATINGS! We will probably get part 5 this year or next
Kevin Mitchell
>tfw Halloween lands on a Saturday next year You forgot Sentai and Sound Cadence.
Adam Morales
>he thinks Toonami can afford that
Henry Ward
No fuck off. We don’t need to pander to nostalgiafags. The new shows are taking off fine on their own
Oliver Perry
See that’s perfect. They can have its finale air on Halloween night. They seem to have gotten out of their marathon retardation so that shouldn’t be an issue
Samuel Perry
Perfect, and Uzumaki is four episodes. So they could premiere it on October 3rd of next year, run the episodes weekly, and then do a two hour marathon of it at the start of the block on Halloween.
Jaxson Martinez
This. We were in a rough spot, but these past few months have really pulled the blocks tail out of the fire. And what’s happened? Old and tired shows like HxH and Jojo left, while the hottest properties of the season and a slightly old, but still fairly popular show took their place. We dont need nostalgia retards anymore.
Plus, historically speaking, DBZ has been the only audience to actually turn out for their nostalgiabait titles. Meanwhile Lupin and Gundam fans are AWOL while the block suffers because of it
Jordan Ross
It has been a little over one day since I put the steak and minced onions together. Went ahead and bought a "proper" bowl
Still going to go off base with some things.
Charles Davis
It's interesting to see a mention for Conan. As much as I want it back there's way too many issues with it airing on TV, nevermind Toonami. I want to see Conan on TV, but it'd only happen if the show was shorter. The early episodes will have the same "ugly and outdated" problem as they did back then, and no place will be right for it's target demographic. I doubt anyone here knows the reception too much when it aired on ASA, but I've seen old internet comments that were pretty clear that it was not just out of place, it and Lupin needed to be taken off for looking too old because digital anime was already airing at the time. It didn't help that the CC and Lupin hour was promoted as old school anime and made it look like Conan was as old as Lupin. The audience it did get wasn't in the adult demo they wanted to it was considered a hefty failure. Sometimes I wonder if it would have done better if they got to the later developed style that wasn't as simple and cute. The FBI stuff. Maybe that Kaito series could get a dub and it could keep the CC cast. It's much shorter and modern. I've seen it mentioned a couple times here as a random idea.
But on the subject in general, old stuff save Bebop is a hard sell. Most people prefer new anime getting picked up and not reruns/new airings of classic stuff. Even Bebop has had its time. Anyway I hope Mob's second season comes around in the future. I haven't seen it yet. That OVA accidentally was said to be coming to the block months ago before it was skipped in favor of something else. Not sure what happened there.
Does anyone still care about Inuyasha? I remember it being important enough in the past that Conan replacing its reruns was one of many reasons people hated it. I don't know how the final part fared. Hell I haven't even watched Inuyasha.
We got the Final Act episodes a few years ago actually. Unfortunately Toonami/Adult Swim can no longer air Inuyasha as their license to air it expired.
Lincoln Martin
Oh, then I can just dig up the ratings probably later.
Owen Torres
Jamie is not completely out of the water yet. Although the judge dismissed her, Vic can still file an appeal.
Lincoln Clark
I'm not part of the drama I just want people to see how fucking dumb some of this metoo shit has been. It's a very simple want.
Ayden Allen
Also I wasn't that user. I don't make posts like his.
David Rodriguez
>Vic can still file an appeal. It's over, user.
Jacob Rodriguez
That post wasn’t meant to be directed at anyone specifically. Just commenting on the meltdown that’s going on in the ISWV crowd using that picture as an example.
Nolan Wright
>Steve Blum still does Orochimaru Really? It sounded kinda different in Bort.
Landon Powell
Vic isn't going to get anywhere with his Lionel Hutz tier attorney, who basically admitted to the judge that he has zero evidence to prove conpiracy. If he does file an appeal at least get a more qualified person to represent himself this time
Henry Scott
You're a dumbass contrarian, you know that?
Logan Gutierrez
I'm assuming you're saying that because of the Funimation drama. Trust me, few people actually give a shit enough about what somebody did or say to give up on a whole show or literally piece, you think people forced themselves to stop liking Rurouni Kenshi/Samurai X because the guy behind it is a pedo?
Carter Hall
Any gundam > IBO season 1
Even G-Saviour
Tyler Wilson
Don't talk to me when I'm vibrating.
Brayden Brooks
Oh this is funny, I assume most of the fujo fans stuck with him and have no coping tools
Matthew Smith
Did you hear Naruto last week? They reprise the roles, but they don’t care about them
David Stewart
I’m saying it because Super ends in a few weeks you retard
Carson Jackson
Watching the recordings of this week now. What was the general consensus of Kars introduction in Dr. Stone?
Andrew Perez
felt fast felt forced you knew he was evil the second in >able to punch out a lion to death and.. yeah. show started out OK but i dunno only episode 2 so far
Hunter Long
people seemed to like it
Aaron Bailey
>hurr you HAVE to like DB Fuck off. DB has always been shit of the highest order, but Super really goes out of its way to secure that title. Once it’s gone we can finally stop pandering to the retarded audience that eats this crap up
Thomas Jackson
Super even pussies out on fanservice. Bulma just dropped everything and became the shittier aspects.
Brody Howard
>implying DeMarco doesn't have GT at the ready once Super's done
I would not mind watching this but I highly doubt funi let anyone have it. would be neat tho
Jack Wood
What is there even to talk about?
Joshua Mitchell
>Toei/Toriyama/etc should retire a character because of American dub VA slapfights The state of these fucking people
Isaac Long
i hope this is brainwashing
Jaxon Wilson
>Funi More like Toei. They want Super fresh in everyone’s mind for when the next series comes out. Last thing they would do is dredge up GT
Nicholas Parker
It was stupidly over-the-top and I was really in for it, up until Dr. Stone was like "lol you wouldn't be complimenting me if you weren't up to something" and then 3 minutes later he's up to something It really could've been set up better than that
Elijah Barnes
>You're a dub VA for Naruto. >You think you're finally close to being done with this show now that the end of Shippuden is nearing after voicing in all that pointless filler that delays the plot to drag everything on. >Lol, nope! Here is Boruto and that shit ain't ending anytime soon. Better get to dubbing that too on your schedule.
I would kms.
John Cooper
Is dubbing anime not much more lucrative than burger flipping?
Tyler Reyes
It's supposed to fill up your VA resume so you can get bigger roles in other industries; like vidya or western animation.
Anthony Moore
On the positive side, if you're cast in a long running shonen dub like that, you basically have some guaranteed source of income for over a decade or more, even if it is rather miniscule. Steve Blum has probably been using his Orochimaru paychecks to cover his groceries expenses for the past 13 years.
Juan Perry
And I'm pretty sure Naruto's VA doesn't have much of a career outside of Naruto Uzumaki anymore, so there is that too.
Christian Lewis
Maybe Netflix will deliver a Pepper Ann sequel/movie
I doubt many studios would want to work for a guy that sued his previous employers. Vic should've just taken the L and stuck to his LA work exclusively.
Jason Jenkins
Yeah, let's see how long trying to keep up with flash-in-the-pan seasonal anime works out when they can't immediately snatch up whatever's already popular. It'll be MHA all over again.
Anthony Brooks
I quite certain Naruto's VA never voiced Pepper Ann.
Kevin Parker
>wake up >almost 3:30am >heart racing >thought i missed toonami >switch on TV >fucking RnM fuck its been awhile since i was this scared
Jace Adams
I didn't like that Senku was instantly suspicious of the guy. Like, sure, this guy could definitely kill you and Taiju instantly but that doesn't make him a bad person. Of course he turns out to be the antagonist anyways though.
Kayden Gonzalez
That is my recurring Saturday morning nightmare also.
They can try grabbing something that's not shounenshit for once. Airing Granbelm, or Psycho Pass would be nice.
Ryan Reed
I'd like Granbelm, but would something with an entirely cute girl cast fair well on modern Toonami? And no way the dub could do it justice.
Eli Watson
The one saving grace for Naruto VAs is the mountain of video games it has got over the years. Each one of those pays a boatload just by the nature of being a game and not an anime
Wyatt Lopez
That’s the thing. They CAN snatch up what’s popular right away if they actually put some money forward. They got Fire Force, Dr Stone, and if this partial MHA reruns is a spoiler, they got S4 too.
It’s an undisputed fact that trying to prop the block up on reruns and nostalgia sends the numbers right down the tubes. No sense continuing a method proven to fail

Toonami fags already have low standards, so dub quality won't be an issue. The cute girl cast would, especially with DeMarco in charge and the SD mech designs. Shows with waifus like Kill la Kill and Akame ga Kill tend to do well, iirc, but Granbelm's arstyle may be too "cutesy" for the nostalgiafags and manchildren that is the Toonami audience.

>They CAN snatch up what’s popular right away if they actually put some money forward. Again, let's see how long that lasts. Demarco's made some decent decisions now, but I'm not ready to trust his judgment just yet.
Honestly I'm not advocating for more reruns or anything, I just don't think letting social media chart the lineup is viable for the block's future just because they recently lucked out. Getting more overlooked series is what's going to keep things running.
