Show's creators are confirmed SJWs who want to push the idea of the "blended" family. The original concept of the show was for Doofenshmirtz to be the father of Phineas (he would be half-brother to Candace, as Linda was an ex-pop star/ex-slut who slept around but never told the 2 kids they were only half siblings because, again, SJWs think all types of families are acceptable), creators are also incredible Star Wars fans and wanted there to be a big "no, I am your father" type moment that would blow our minds, but the Disney higher-ups nixed it. Whether or not this stuff is addressed in the final Candace-centric movie is another matter, perhaps now in these changed times a decade down the road, it will be allowed
