I wonder if I should sign up for Disney Plus so I can keep up with the MCU. Do you think audiences will still be able to understand Phase 4 if they don’t sign up for Disney Plus? I really like Doctor Strange and I hear WandaVision ties into the sequel so I guess I’ll sign up for Disney Plus.
Nope, all the Disney+ announcements and the Phase 4 announcements have burned me out and I just don't care about keeping up any more. After Endgame I hoped they would scale things back for a few years and just put out random movies and shows here and there with no big plan, but then they announced Phase 4 and fuck all that shit. I don't have enough energy for another 12 years of this shit, man.
Joseph Walker
At a few bucks a month, why not? As long as they have their cartoons I'll keep subscribing.
Gavin Ward
I'll get it mostly for the star wars stuff and wandavision plus I can just watch fox shows from a decade ago instead of having a cable subscription.
Evan Reyes
I can barely justify paying for Netflix with how little I have. I'd have to quit paying for Netflix to pay for Disney+ and I doubt I'll do that. If I am lucky my sister will get a subscription and I can crash at her place and binge watch shit when she is at work.
Jose Taylor
Day 1. Dropping Netflix as well. Disney+ has more than enough original content to entice me, but along with the Hulu/ESPN+ bundle, I'm going to be getting so much more access and value out it it for the same price I am paying for and getting out of Netflix.
I care about Wanda+Vision, Blade, DS2, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight. BP2 if the rumors of Namor are true. I think it's a good line up for me.
Gabriel Long
No, I'll just pirate what I'm interested in.
Austin Fisher
My family signed up for the 3 year offer that was going on last week.
Noah Sanchez
I've already got hulu, so I'll probably bundle them. But I'll likely wait until several of the shows are out first.
James Sullivan
Through D23 membership?
Elijah Hall
Disney plus wont arrive on my country until 2021 at the earliest, according to an article i read. I'll be pirating these shows when they come out, i wont wait a full year before i can watch them. Im excited for wandavision a lot, wanda is an interesting character when she has mental breakdowns that change everything. cant wait to see what they do with her
Don't get tricked. The tv shows will never matter.
Dylan Smith
>Fellow patrician.
Grayson James
Marvel shows start coming out next fall. Give me one good reason I should actually buy it at all in the first year, rather than just pirating The Mandalorian and moving on.
Christopher Garcia
As long as they take PayPal and is available outside of the US (specifically Latin America), sure. But I'm getting it mostly for my mom who likes binge-watching shows and movies... I mostly pirate everything these days.
Nathan Gonzalez
>Nope, all the Disney+ announcements and the Phase 4 announcements have burned me out and I just don't care about keeping up any more. Isn't that what they are doing? Black Widow, Shang-Chi and Eternals movies?
Connor Powell
Every season of The Simpsons in high definition.
Gavin Richardson
I can honestly live without that.
Jordan Murphy
Fair enough. That alone is a draw for me, though I'm interested in the MCU shows a lot.
Dominic Powell
Same, but like, about a year until TFatWS comes out? I'm going to wait on paying for it until there's something I think is worth paying for.
Isaac Clark
Nope
Joseph Smith
Nope. If anything is worth watching, I'll pirate it.
Aiden Ramirez
What happened user? Where did all the pirates go? I never thought I'd see the day when most people on 4chin were dependant on paying subscription to get their media. Is it Netflix? Steam?
Matthew Cooper
You mean stretched to 16:9? No, if an episode was made in 4:3, I want to see it in 4:3
James Collins
Nope, I just want their animated shows, all of them (at least the ones not tied up in legal problems).
Bentley Reed
Maybe just for The Simpsons. I'm kinda tired of downloading episodes just to get the highest quality available.
Ethan Nguyen
Regardless of what the plan is, the fact that they have another 5+ years of shit planned out so tightly just automatically fatigues me and I can't deal with it.
Nathaniel Martinez
Why would I ? Disney is dead to me
Robert Young
no, but i'll pirate whatever they make that isnt shit. fuck disney.
Evan Young
I don't think they'll stretch them, the HD might be upscaled if they get lazy but there's no extra pixels to add on the sides. It'll likely stay 4:3.
Nathan Parker
no, is my choice
Kayden Taylor
I hope so, FXX stretched up all the 4:3 episodes, which caused the upper and bottom parts to be off screen.
Adam Wood
probably
Zachary Barnes
no I'm just going to sail the high seas. Too many damn streaming services now.
Jack Gonzalez
I tried to keep up with the MCU by watching every movie when they came out and keeping up with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. back when it was the only thing in the MCU besides the movies, but once they added all this other shit like all the Netflix shit I lost track...
Carson Campbell
You didn't miss much.
Sebastian Bennett
I'll definitely do the trial period at the very least, probably will do it for a month or two beyond that as well, anything further I'm not sure of yet
Xavier Garcia
>wanda is an interesting character when she has mental breakdowns that change everything >this is what people know her for now >Even the MCU can't change that Bendis ruins everything
Angel Martin
To be fair she was shit before Bendis too.
Daniel Clark
Not unless they air Agents of SHIELD/the rumored SWORD sequel series on Disney Plus
Marvel Studios a shit
Gavin Anderson
Nah, I'm staying with Netflix, YouTube and piracy.
And printed comics of course
John Myers
only if they put their old shows
Colton Hill
If you mean the Netflix ones I don't think they have the rights.
Brandon Murphy
This.
Eli Nelson
It's literally two movies a year, and you can skip any you want too
Andrew Kelly
The Netflix shows and AoS aren't canon, so don't bother
Jackson Lee
The past few Agents of SHIELD seasons are really fucking good
Ryder Turner
>canon just watch what you enjoy dude. It is all made up anyway.
Robert Gonzalez
Enough free streaming services and content out there.
WAAAAY to much hard push of gay shit and no good new stuff. I mean, I'm paying for content I don't like.
Lincoln Green
user, SW has always been crazy as fuck and mentally weak. Outside of that, she's known for fucking a robot.
SW has never been a particularly good or deep character. But she's still a better character then quick silver..so you know.
Look. Whedon made SW into his spooky creepy horror movie monster of a woman who had control a terrifying moveset...and yeah, I wanted to sink all nine into her whle she called me Daddy.
But halfway into the avengers when he brought in the fucking vision ALL OF THAT SHIT ENDED.
The only thing that can save SW now, is for WandaVision to be the scary silenthill meets house of m meets bewitched where she's having a nervous breakdown and turns an entire town into a 1950's tvshow.
Evan Turner
So?
The wife and I enjoyed Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Punisher, and the Cottonmouth episodes of Luke Cage.
Defenders was meh,
Diamondback sucked
Didn't watch Iron Fist or Luke Cage season 2
Easton Williams
So yes, your only knowledge comes from those two Bendis stories.
Xavier Parker
To be fair she gave Wonderman a beej in front of everyone during one of her other meltdowns/possessions.
Charles Barnes
Not unless he can stretch like Reed Richards she didn't.
Josiah Watson
More Silent Hill less Pleasentville (aka the movies made by self hating boomers to shit on the 50s and 60s) and Wanda Vision might be tolerable.
If they try to recreate the comic its based on point for point it will kill any lingering interest people have in SW or Vision
And the best Vision we got was in one of the worst Avengers movies, Age of Ultron
Aaron Morales
user, the fact that you think I'm wrong shows how very very very little you actually know and exposes you for being an idiot.
Hunter Taylor
I remember that. And WM is going to be the wacky bachelor neighbor that hits on her/terrified Marvelactor who was rebuilt after his powers manifested inside of Wanda's fantasy world and is playing his part and trying to escape.
Joseph Lee
what...
Luke Roberts
Look at the positioning of her head and think about the physical impossibility of that being a BJ, user.
Pleasentville? No fuck that gay "Nuclear families am bad" bullshit.
It will be Silent Hill meets Bewitched where she's the nigh omnipotent goddess of her perfect little fantasy world. I have a story idea where a demon sense great power coming from that world and tries to take it over by turning the happy residents into his slaves/eating them. Simon will try to stop him by beating him up using ionic or wonderman powers but ultimately lose because hulk tier strength and immortality is nothing to magic demon stuff. Wanda will wonder over while carrying groceries for dinner call the demon a bully and wiggle her fingers at it. Not in a commanding and angry way, but in a cutesy little bewitched nose twitch kind of way. The thing whichis some ancient thing that was once worshipped as a god and called the end of days will begin to rip apart and scream in agony then be reformd into a tree with an ugly as fuck bark that looks like it's face. She says that now he can do some good She'll then do the whole "Oh Simon, you always get into such messes" kind of thing that women in those old shows would do and wiggle her fingers healing his torn off arm and the hole in his side. She'll say "Good as new". Then she'll stand up and say "care to escort a lady home" Before the episode ends.
Post credits is steven strange waking up in a cold sweat. He runs to the library and turns off a speel and says something in some terrible sounding gutteral language. A door opens and he walks into a room with all sorts of signs and spells and sigils drawn on the wall. A stone statue is holding it in it's hands and other stone statues stand in each corner. He tells the stone statue that he wishes to see the book. It relinquishes after what looks like hesitation then gives it to him. THe other statues stand close to steven and hold their weapons to his head and heart as he opens it.
He asks it. "Where" and the earth, then us, then a state with a red pinlight shows up.
Evan Wood
>that one user who insists Wonderman is going to be in WandaVision and is going to be the star what level of delusion is this?
Justin Adams
Who in the fuck said anythign about star.
He's just the normal, the only person in the entire world that's human and real outside of wanda. If it's all from wanda's point of view you'll lose perspective and won't be able to sense how very broken she is and how terribly powerful and scary she can be.
He can also partially sell the sex angle. Cause the thing with vision was pretty damned creepy no matter how hard they tried to push it.
Gabriel Powell
Before Bendis, Wanda was insane for 3 issues, it was not something she was "known for", it was a story that was not popular and was largely forgotten until Disassembled.
Making her insane in the MCU will not "save" her. Audiences loved her big moments in the last two Avengers movies. They have a powerful female character that people actually like, everything they wanted Carol to be, she already is, and you want them to waste it by making her insane to adapt comics that could have permanently destroyed her if not for the MCU.
Lucas Gutierrez
>He's just the normal, the only person in the entire world that's human and real Jimmy Woo from Ant Man & Wasp, Darcy from the Thor movies, and an adult Monica from Captain Marvel are all going to be in the show, and any or all of them will already be filling the roles of real normal humans caught up in whatever is happening.
>He can also partially sell the sex angle. Cause the thing with vision was pretty damned creepy no matter how hard they tried to push it. So you're a bigot. Some people are robots. Get over it.
Noah Gonzalez
user, what do you know about wanda? Look She's emotionally weak, it's part of the problem that comes with her powers, she's also went fucking crazy a lot. Not HOLY SHIT IM THE QUEEN BITCH OF MAGIC MOUNTAIN crazy but she''s gone off the deep end a lot. AND FUCKING A ROBOT is all she's known for. Without her being Magnetos' daughter and her NOT having to deal with being a mutant...she has fuck all.
This will show one of the things she's famous for Have it show off her powes and how poweful she is She's also a living deus ex machina
I mean they're going to go full "SHe's actually the fucking sentry and her movie is an implant from the skrulls and the Secret Invasion is on".
So what's the problem.
Jack Williams
No Pepper Ann, no sub And also not if you can't bundle it with Hulu WHILE STILL keeping Hulu ad-free
Cameron Cook
>Jimmy Woo from Ant Man & Wasp, Darcy from the Thor movies, and an adult Monica from Captain Marvel are all going to be in the show, and any or all of them will already be filling the roles of real normal humans caught up in whatever is happening. Yeah, but that's significantly less scary and "water cooler" tier.
>>He can also partially sell the sex angle. Cause the thing with vision was pretty damned creepy no matter how hard they tried to push it. >So you're a bigot. Some people are robots. Get over it. Robolover. Batteryburner.
Jaxon Phillips
>I mean they're going to go full "SHe's actually the fucking sentry and her movie is an implant from the skrulls and the Secret Invasion is on" with Captain Marvel
>Fixd
Blake Gonzalez
I'm tempted for Mandalorian and Clone Wars
Cooper Hill
People who think like you are going to be portrayed as villains in the show. You may as well accept that now.
Joseph Morris
user, vision is dead. He'll be human and not a robot in her little fantasy world.
Adrian Watson
That's all X-fags know about her, because they don't read books she appeared in and don't care about her own lore. You've convinced yourself that there were a lot of stories of her being "crazy" or "weak", enough that she was "always known for it", and won't accept that it was literally one time before Bendis.
Magneto has been utterly irrelevant to most of her stories, yet you think that making them not related and make her not a mutant has damaged her. It hurts Pietro, it doesn't hurt Wanda at all, it sets her free.
We all know by this point the MCU doesn't directly adapt stories nor slavishly follow everything the comics did. If they have any intention of pushing her, they're not going to make her insane. Stop and think about the backlash they would get for making a powerful woman go crazy because she can't control herself or her abilities. Disney aren't going to leave themselves open for that kind of negative reaction.
Logan Turner
>No Avengers EMH
No thanks!
Isaiah Barnes
Sure, he's as dead as Bucky was. He's literally the easiest character to bring back. They can't make a second season if he's really dead.
