What happened to all those really weird crossover comics we got in the '80s and '90s? Why did they fall out of fashion?

DC just had a bunch of Looney Tunes crossovers. Archie is doing their second Predator crossover. Look at all the shit IDW publishes and how they'll have Transformers crossover with X-Files regularly.

Batgod's being cross over with the Mutant Turtles for the past three years, now in it's third or fourth series.

Betty and Veronica crossover with Harley & Poison Ivy and now are crossing over with Vampirella.

Pay attention son.

Welp, shows what I know.

How's Archie vs Predator?

They had DC/Hana Barbera crossovers (like Aquaman and JabberJaw).

And Batman teamed up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles three times (and a BTAS crossover with the TMNT2012 comic) and even had an animated adaption of all things.

Also Green lantern and Star Trek. And Green Lantern and Planet of the Apes.

And Justice League/Power Rangers.

Boy have we had some crazy crossovers!

Also Ghostbusters crosses over with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and is doing a crossover with Transformers now

Good

We also had The Archies meeting The Ramones. Like, the original lineup.

That was a fun one-shot

Ike killed all the Marvel crossovers cause he's a Jew that won't let Marvel share anything

I was going through some old comics in my garage yesterday and had pulled a few out to go through. That exact one... that Batman vs Predator issue... is sitting on top of the pile. Get out of my head, op.

There's TONS of them now. More than ever. They just don't have Marvel characters anymore, and rarely have DC characters unless it's Batman or Injustice related.

Imagine the ammount of universes connected at this point

Remember that time Marvel had a crossover with Attack on Titans?

One can question how the hell the titans are a threat to the Marvel Universe but you know what shut up

Batman/TMNT is in its third crossover.

When was the last issue? i can't tell if they got delayed or Yea Forums spontaneously stopped storytiming it.

It is pretty funny that a apocalyptic threat on one world is pretty much a light Tuesday for the avengers. Though I do wish we got a shot of a titan eating luke cage and just having his teeth shatter on him

The ending of the first one was amazing

I'm noticing a theme in this thread, that Marvel doesn't seem to do crossovers.

#3 was out early August. It was storytimed.

Some don't really overlap and do their own thing. Like for instance the GL/Trek crossover is GL in the Kelvin timeline or Abrams timeline or whatever you want to call it, but with ramifications that set it as an alternate timeline to the movies.

The crossovers with DC stopped in the 00's when higher-ups got pissed at Quesada. But Marvel still crossovered with other things like Top Cow and Transformers.

It wasn't until Disney bought them out that the crossovers got extremely reduced. About the only things I remember the post-2010 Marvel comics crossovering with was Attack on Titan, was there even anything else?

we all died, and we live in a hell, I shit you not
