Reminder that Doomsday Clock is not canon. Scott Snyder said so.
>**Nrama**: So does this tie in to Doomsday Clock at all? Because we’ve seen the seeds of the Justice Society returning in Doomsday Clock.

>**Snyder**: Not really. I mean, Doomsday Clock really is its own wonderful, incredible story. The kind of light connection between them is just that, what Geoff and I talked about was because Doomsday Clock is kind of running at its own pace and in its own kind of continuity, what I didn’t want to do was bring the JSA back before he had a chance to reintroduce them as a concept in issue #10.

>I think that’s similar with other characters that he’s going to be using in Doomsday Clock as well.

>So there’s a nod to each other in that regard. I wanted him to be able to have the JSA as an idea, and have that first appearance in Doomsday Clock.

>But in terms of the continuities linking up, Doomsday Clock is a very special and inspirational book. We’re all amazed, I think, at how good it is. **But its effects are relatively self-contained to itself.**

So I guess that Barry forgot about the events of The Button.

>A talking gorilla and a cheetah woman go back in time in order to fly on Japanese planes and bomb Pearl Harbor
I...uh...what?

Good issue. A bit fan-servicey. But good.

Please don't ruin DC 1 Million with this nonsense.

>it took the JSA to make this book good

sounds about right

I dropped Aquaman back when the whole amnesia thing started

So does this line up?

>The Anti-Monitor's mom is worried about him

>The Anti-Monitor is rebelling against his mom by teaming up with...Aquaman

These are not words I ever expected to read in a published corner, and I'm fucking rolling for SAN loss while I also try to comprehend Lex FUCKING Luthor calling somebody his queen unironically

Yeah, on the orders of Lex "Perfect Cell" Luthor who unlocked his perfect APEX form by absorbing Martian Manhunter and the Monitor brothers' mom in order to gain total control over hypertime by spreading supervillainy throughout the multiverse.

COMICS!

I'ma be real with you, the Aquaman story hasn't even advanced enough to give you a firm answer either way. We only JUST got Black Manta's Evangelion introduced, and I have no idea how the fuck that leads into the Anti-Monitor needing the man who can talk to fish on his side.

Im currently reading Sandman Mystery Theatre and I miss Wesley Dodds and Dian

>main bad guy is God
>allies are two gods creators of universes
>minor villain can capture entire futures in bottles

Man, these events are getting really stupid. Do DC know what the word scalling means?

You know, if Snyder was a bit more attentive (a big ask, I know) he might've remember Kyle Rayner should be able to reassemble the Life Equation and become the white lantern again with the disparate elements of it he scattered.

Why is this a big deal? Because it's the source code to creation, a force that can remake the universe and pierce or affect the Source Wall itself-something Perpetua's struggling to do. Lex's bullshit could've been stopped in days if someone had reminded Kyle he could just grab the white light of creation by the pussy LIKE HE ALREADY DID THAT ONE TIME TO REMAKE THE UNIVERSE IN HIS IMAGE.

Technically it's not God. Nooooo, it's the being who WAS BEFORE God. Remember, even Carey's run explicitly said there were creators before the Presence and creators that would be after him. And SHE HERSELF has a creator. And you know what's really fucked? Darkseid tortured a way into that being, the Source, with machines he built, and essentailly would've done Thanos' wanky Zamasu plan in Starlin's final trilogy decades before it happened if it wasn't for his son Orion also jumping in to battle him in there. And I'm not even talking about Death of the New Gods which nobody wants to admit is canon even though Morrison directly referenced it in Final Crisis: Secret Files, I'm talking about the overarching plot for the 1995 New Gods run.

Oh and don't forget one of those gods themself was a midboss beaten by Superman in one punch, man.

>minor villain can capture entire futures in bottles
Brainiac can do that since Future's End/Convergence.

>and pierce or affect the Source Wall itself-something Perpetua's struggling to do.
The Source Wall has been destroyed for a while now.

>Technically it's not God. Nooooo, it's the being who WAS BEFORE God.

Source > Perpetua. An emissary of the source apparently was too much for Perpetua. Snyder seems to be going with Source = Presence rather than Starlin's oddly weak Source sphere.

The "Source Wall" according to Snyder's run was just a literal wall around the universe to seal Perpetua. It wasn't actually part of the Source or anything like that (although the source also would be beyond that wall, but it's not really connected to it in any way).

>affect the Source Wall itself-something Perpetua's struggling to do.
>The Source Wall has been destroyed for a whil
I love Kyle but he didn't "pierce" it he went through and came back alive

>gorilla grodd and cheetah bombed pearl harbor
You fucking hwat m8

I also forgot about the events of The Button, so it's understandable.

Shouldn't he have gone all"YYEEEEEEEARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHH!!!"

>I'm the last boy on Earth
You know what must be done, Diana.

I think the meaning is, when you put characters who can do those things, how can you give credible options for the heroes to win

I'm still bothered that never got a proper explaination for the mechanics other than Braniac just turning into a weird cancerous tech singularity by fusing with his alts

Yeah meant how she was sealed by it before, and how she only got out because of the Legion of Doom's shenanigans

I meant "God" in the sense of the Abrahamic one, the Lucifer title is still ongoing and from what I can tell there's no indication it and the Source are the same thing so far or that Lucifer's adventures have any connection to the ongoing crisis and Heaven is just treated like another Sphere of the Gods domain in the rest of DC. I know traditionally the Source is seen as a chunk of the big P but thus far I'm finding it dubious the Presence and the Source are the same thing.

Alright yeah that's true, that's all I meant by "pierce". Didn't mean he physically rammed it or anything, but shitty as Godhead was I remember Highfather remarking on how unique even that was.

Why is lex being subservient? Isn’t his whole thing he will bow to no one?

Guess starman stuff undone here in 1 million.

Hmmmmm. .?..

People have commented on this before. Yes, the most absurd part of this event is Lex drinking all of the kool-aid.

Personaly I'm weirdly okay with it even if I do think it's completely out of character. I look at it like this: Every time a cosmic being's tried to manipulate Lex in the past, it's tried to make him subservient to it. This one is manipulating Lex...by telling him he was right about everything, and her evil plan involves giving him the power to become a Superman-level icon of the future.

And Lex is just, this fucking petty ball of issues. He literally gave up cosmic power because it wouldn't let him hurt Superman once.

So I choose to believe this the result of many years and several crises' worth of starving for validation being released all at once.

Luther will probably backstab her.

Ha. No, much as we all hate Laughs I'm pretty sure we're supposed to take the Joker's warning about Laughs going to fuck everything up for Luthor super hard somehow and the fact that Laughs has not one but two side stories fixated around his bullshit isn't a coincidence. Nor is the rather blunt foreshadowing about the JL going all Persona and tapping the dark energies to turn Earth into a temporary white light beacon and repel Umbrax early in this run.

No, I think this is all going to blow up super hard in Luthor's face for reasons other than the solicit for what seems to be the climatic issue saying PERPETUA gets full control over Hypertime using the Totality without mentioning his name.

OH NO Lex is going to make us see a boring movie directed by Michael Bay.

Nope

And this is why the Joker left, because he might be a criminal psychopath but he is still an American!

>Hypertime
Oh! So this is old Earth-2! Nice!

ALL the bad guys have had their personalities muted so they can be footsoldiers of Perpetua.

The antagonists continue to be the weakest part of Snyder's writing.

Thanks for the storytime!

If this doesn't end in Fate and Alan wrecking the enemy with ease, I'm pissed. Fate alone shouldn't have a problem. Unless it's a case of letting damage happen, because it's in Fate to do so.

>Black Manta's Evangelion
Excuse me?

Would that mean the DC 1 million future is New Earth?

No its a remove hypertime past of earth zero.

>Three futures over
So is this New Earth?

...Isn't that exactly what old Earth-2 is?

The entire point of Lex's character arc is him discovering an ancient cosmic truth and finally believing in something greater than himself that would lead to him and the rest of the human race becoming the immortal gods of the multiverse and beyond.

Only Lex, everyone else is pursuing their own goals. Even the core members of the legion like Grodd and Sinestro are on it because of their own motivations.

Called it, mainly because he was the only one missing in that big spread of the heroes and was too important to not be part of the story

It doesn't feel like they're pursuing their own goals though, and the interactions between members are bland as hell.

You got Sinestro, Grodd, and Cheetah in Japanese zeroes because that's what they were told to do. They could be swapped out with any LOD member--and that's the problem. They aren't doing Cheetah, Grodd, and Sinestro things in the plot. They're doing team Perpetua shit.

>Gorilla Grodd bombed Pearl Harbor

Oh no Barry is gonna trigger Als Manlet rage.

wondertitties she's packin lads

Fun issue.

So is this before or after Doomsday Clock?

A giant ass black manta themed mecha with the mind of Manta's father.

No.

Doomsday Clock is not canon

>The Legion bombed Pearl Harbor

That's the crazy shit that makes me like comics.

This was such a good issue.

>ATOMLETS, WHEN WILL THEY LEARN

That part is a little too campy for me. I'd prefer it if it was something other than them literally flying in Japanese zeros. Like Sinestro with a bunch of samurai constructs invading the west coast.

Normally. even when I don't read a comic, I get the gist of what's happening through the grapevine.
I have absolutely no idea what's happening in this run. I dropped this around issue 5 or so, whenever Luthor destroyed the future when he won and he was obsessed with a doorknob. I don't hate it, but there was just so much dialogue and it was decompressed

Is Snyder's as confusing as it seems

Him and Bruce forget about Jay immediately after seeing him IN The Buttons story

Snyder is just being true to old DC lore of crossing the time barrier resetting your memory unless you're prepared for it.

Damn, look at those wonder milkers.

Superman flattened a guy who created the multiverse with a punch. They'll be fine.

Right Handed Alan?

Superman 1 Million was ridiculously OP. Unless he jobs hard the League is done.

And Jays kinda blonde.

For the Presence, love this pages!!

So this is a third faction amongst the two aka WILD CARD BITCHES

>He put Hypertime possible futures in bottles so we need to leave this bottle and go to another
Fucking what? Can someone explain how this is a thing that can just be done and no one seems to question it?

He already did it once in convergence.

Don't fuck with Brainiac.

>Casual learns about DC's dials

k-kino?

What is that pose

Image 40 years from now if someone had Super-Villian be the catalyst for 9/11. Because that's what this is and it's so silly to me.

Still loving this JL run

I forgot how sexy One Million Wonder Woman is.

Wasn't that just Brainiac just literally digging up various metropolises'? Not bottling literal time.

No man, no. he was literally going back in macro/hypertime to before various cosmic retrons and taking cities from them. He had total control over hypertime which is that that one badguy from Warlord tried to steal from him.

If you want to be real anal about it, Brainiac wasn't even the first--bottling time is an old Time Trapper move.

>JSA gets a at least somewhat decent reintroduction and are still recognisable though they're detached from the main universe
>the LSH get erased from reality and replaced with Bendis bullshit
You win some and you lose a lot, apparently.

Its LOSH, it's only a matter of time before they default back to classic. Classic is the rock upon which reimaginings crash against and break.

We waited for over half a decade for this one, who knows if we'll even still be around if we have to wait that long again.

kek dab on them manlets

You know what? Fuck the haters. This has been nothing but fun.

Not really. He is pushing the scale of everything stupidly high, but it's not really "high concept", so it's much simpler than Morrison's stuff if you actually stop to read the run.

This

Shut up autist

Yeah I’m thinking Snyder is based

Still true.

it's weird to see Lex, now that he is frothing over some 6th dimensional super god mommy

Batman shouldn't even be here with City of Bane, and the flash should be dealing with the new forces. There is no continuity being followed at all

It's a 180° from what he usually is but it makes sense given what he has learned and gone through. He even acknowledges how bizarre he sounds when acting like a zealot, but Perpetua's path seems like the only way to both save the multiverse and achieve immortality and nigh omnipotence not just for himself, but for all mankind. He'd be humanity's eternal hero and wield power on a scale in which superman wouldn't even be a blip on his radar

Bump

>Mommy mommy I am confused by different books coming out the same month not necessarily happening simultaneously!!

He just wanted some milkies and tendies all this time

There is no way a coherent timeline can happen between the books at all. Lex made his offer to Bane, Catwoman, Ras, Harley, Red Hood, Mr. Freeze, Talon and others all within a short period of time.

In Tom King's Batman book, Batman hasn't been back in Gotham since getting his ass kicked by Bane. This happened at the same time Jason was running the Iceberg Lounge. Recently Bruce Wayne was stranded on an island with Deadshot shortly after he saved a carnival from Joker. There really isn't any time for Batman to be travelling the universe with the JLA.

Joker mentioned leaving Lex's Legion of Doom, so the Joker carnival issue of Detective Comics must have happened after that. In that same issue, Lex makes an offer to Mr. Freeze, so it must have been pretty close to when he made his offer to Bane. But Batman can't have been in the city if "City of Bane" had already begun, and also Joker wouldn't be terrorising the carnival if he was one of Bane's brainwashed cops. Detective Comics must have taken place well before King's Batman, and yet Lex makes his offer to Freeze in that same very issue and he doesn't make his offer to Bane until Bane's rule is well underway. On top of that, Batman has been consistently appearing in the JLA comics with no mention of Alfred being held hostage or Bruce being trapped on an island or being nursed back to health by Catwoman. Also, in JLA he was in a full body cast for quite a while and that was never reflected in the other books. Also, Penguin was held captive by Jason Todd for god knows how long, and yet he was supposedly working for Bane as well. I believe he even made an appearance in the Catwoman book in another city when he was also inside Jason's cell and under Bane's thumb. Also, Gordon is under control of the BWL but only in 1 book.

It's not about being unable to understand that the books aren't happening simultaneously, it's that they straight up contradict each other, and a timeline between them simply cannot work.

I would love to watch Wondy snap necks all day
