Eh, they're completely unrelated though. Snyder is making the "Invisible Spectrum" another color in Geoff Johns' emotional spectrum, representing suppressed emotions.

What Grant is doing here is just saying that even some microwave or x-ray based life forms have green lanterns (like shown in the annual). Color of the species has nothing to do with colors of the lantern corps. Hal isn't green skinned.
