Ohhh, it's a words words words illustrated text issue
Hello, Storyteller.
>it's a D&D parody issue
Okay then. Credit where it's due, they sure as hell got all the classes 100% correct.
>the mysterious time traveller that bendis was sending to the future was Rose & Thorn
Wut
Hey OP.
How the hell did Bobby end up the Healslut?
These so don't work in digital.
yeah, they really don't
Also it's a nice change to have a dude in the white mage class
THIS IS MY KINK AND THIS KINK IS OK
uhhhh, those are some faces on those goblins there
Duh, user. Plants live forever, y'know?
Blacksmith Paladin is a good fit for Caitlin.
at least there's illustrations
It's like we're reading Pathfinder comics!
I've never heard of these writers
Sexy elf Rainmaker is 100% on-target too
this looks good, what else have they done
>blacksmith paladin Caitlin
THAT IS EVERYONE'S KINK.
Caitlin is the most 100% Lawful Good character I think we've waifued
Not a lot on the writing/art

Lots of inking from Sandra Hope-Archer

sorry, this is making me want to quit storytime and go play ADOM
I'm going to check out Black Ops and report back to everyone how good it is by the next storytime
this would be great as a full miniseries
so, we have what: mage, paladin, elf, rogue, berserker?
She rolled like straight 18s down the line, too.
this reminds me that the best twitter screen name I've seen recently was 'Thac0 and Vanzetti'
>Caitlin is the most 100% Lawful Good character I think we've waifued
... Yeah. Of all our darlings, she's the most pure. The series even plays up her innocence.
It's questionable if this format works at all. It's very much an issue of "if I wanted to read this much text, I'd read a book".
never read moonshadow
maybe we should be dumb and read Cerebus, guys
pfft, never get rid of a good boss that quickly
she's pretty cute there
Big comics week. Legioen and JSA are back!!!! I know everyone here is worried to angry about it. Also end of WicDiv! New DIE!(relevant to this issue) Morrison GL and HoX continue.
Elven Sexual Harassment is still sexual harrassment, S'rah!
Also, understandable. This makes me want to play games too.
because it sucks
someone's currently doing 10 issues a day of that
movieshit, but I've seen the suggestion that currently shaved-head Peter Capaldi is gonna play THE WRITER in Gunn's Skwad movie
how many f-bombs should he have
Fucking... I was gonna make the joke about Sarah enjoying holding on a little too much, but the comic beat me too it.
Is it wrong that I really want to see more things where established characters play a bit of tabletop? We never did get an LOSH D&D issue.
That is one Jewey looking troll...
we'd have to do it leisurely because that's just how we roll these days, 10 issues a day is a lot to digest (and post)
this is just another perfect example how Gen13 works in every style and genre
the dog is staring at me which means it's walk time, but we'll have storytime again tomorrow!
so no good comics?
let's read another tomorrow and you can fill me in on LOSH and JSA, yes?
thanks OP and that'd be nice, very fun issue
If you are reducing Rainmaker to Race-As-class, Grunge is a Dorf.
I mean in a marketing sense. I'm kinda digging this, to be honest.
Let's not, actually. There are other fantasy comics out there. Ones that aren't written by sexist dipshits.
Uh, FF1? Where Garland is both the first boss and the timetraveloling endboss.
Thanks for posting as always, Storyteller.
>tomorrow is when Bendis Legion drops
... Whatever powers may be, give me the fucking strength.
Not really surprising. They're a classical five-person team who each fill a specific role, with relatively simple, yet well defined personalities. This was dirt common in the 90s, and remains a reliable format to this day.
With the amount of Edge WB is running with in their movies, as many as they can in a profitable MPAA rating.
Tim Drake should bully his superfriends into playing D&D with him more often.
>Grunge needs bedtime stories
If his main personality trait wasn't "horny" this would make him seem almost adorable!
the team chemistry just work more than similar books I’ve read or at least anything involving Teen Titans or X-Men
I'm going through historical Aquaman sales.
It's a wonder that the book wasn't cancelled after Veitch's first year in 2003.
1 -- 48,396
12 -- 23,951 twelve issues later.
KSD's currently around that, eight issues or so into her run. The most recent issue did better with the cardstock covers
Thanks for running, OP.
Do you count Young Justice as Teen Titans? They had well defined personalities and interplay.
That was Water-hand Aquaman, right?
and autistic-Manta, yeah. Some data points:
Rick Veitch
>#1 -- 48,396
Ostrander does two fill-ins over time
>#13 -- 22,409
>#14 -- 21,681
Will Pfiefer (remember him?) takes over
>#15 -- 24.747
Arcudi takes over (Sub-Diego, Gleason on art for most of it)
>#25 -- 21,208
Last issue before One Year Later
>#39 -- 18,319
Kurt Busiek's Sword of Atlantis starts
>#40 -- 37,606
Volume is cursed, as Busiek and Butch Guice end up making the book bi-monthly
Tad Williams takes over with #50, book craters into it's final issue
>#50 -- 19.996
>#57 -- 12,931
Sword of Atlantis was my favourite Aquaman ever. Making it more Heroic Fantasy and less Superhero was a good fit for his powerset.
It was a bold idea, but killing Arthur (after killing most of Atlantis during IC) might have been a bad idea.
The sales had already sank to 17K by the time Tad took over
I like the Young Justice main 4 somewhat but they even seem forced together, thought that Kesel's Superboy and Ravers was a little more fun but they just don't click the same as these 5 suntanned knuckleheads
>WE'RE GONNA GETCHU SOMETHING SENSIBLE SEE
>SOMETHING THAT'S COMFORTABLE IN THIS WEATHER!
None, just one "oh Bugger" before he eats it. Or it eats him.
bump reading now
