The forced fusion abominations aren't really that much more horrifying than the disembodied hands they were before being fused together. Hell, they're more complete that way if the cluster is any indication.

They have the diamonds do a lot of things that don't make sense. They seems sure the blast would wipe out everything, but are surprised when it does the opposite. Why have that kind of attack in the first place if you don't even know what it does? What was that attack suppose to be?

The cluster was meant to be a gioweapon that was to destroy the Earth in the process of awakening.

In her defense she just found out that her only "friend" in the universe, someone she was loyal to a fault more so than Pearl was, ditched her for thousands of years and left her standing in one spot for eons. She learned that like an hour or two before she arrived on earth, possibly even less. You would be pretty livid too and want to fucking die and take everyone with you.

Honestly every bad guy getting redeeemed in SU doesn't even bother me.
What bothers me is the ease with which it happens, every villain just rolls over because Steven was nice to them or said he doesn't want to fight, it would have been more interesting to see him actually have to put some effort into trying to convince a character that actually has some convictions in whatever they are doing instead of

My since they don't seem to have a monetary system on homeworld, my guess is that lawyers there face some sort of punishment if their client loses. It a good way to make sure they're motivated in helping potentially unsavory or unpopular defendants like Stevenhtat they're assigned to and don't half-ass the job.

Jasper couldn't be helped as simply as other characters because she hated herself too much to think she deserved it, she had valid reasons to resent Rose and the crystal gems, and she already had a very personal and very negative attachment to Earth that made made her ashamed to be an Earthling and see the planet as a prison she could never escape. Steven also didn't have his Pink Diamond copout card to use on her before she was consumed by her corruption and self loathing which is what made the diamond's redemptions pathetically easy. Even if Jasper does get redeemed next season I think it will be more complicated and have more time put into it

I've got an idea for one that I don't really have the time to fully write out. Towards the end of their relationship, PD started molesting Spinel out of morbid curiosity, and initiated it by calling it a "special game only best friends do". Spinel was just so innocent and eager to please that she went along with it, and as soon as it was over PD would leave and Spinel was left feeling all funny inside, and a little lonely. Towards the end there were times when PD would show up just to molest Spinel, who was always a little uncomfortable and even scared by how aggressive PD got, but hoped that if she smiled and looked alright then eventually PD would want to play another game. When PD leaves Spinel for good, and she's left standing in the same spot, she wanders if she did it wrong. If she should have looked more enthused when she was really beginning to dread it and how icky it made her feel inside. She wonders why PD wanted to play that game, and left her. Some thousands of years later Spinel touches herself in a lonely little pantomime of how PD would do it, wishing for her best friend to be back, even if just for that "game".

And then she learns she had a kid with a human man.

Yeah her period of villainy was, all put together, pretty brief. She wasn't brooding and building up her resentment for those 6,000 years, she was still holding up hope Pink would come back right up until she saw Steven's broadcast. The period between then and her going apewild on the Crystal Gems was, like, an hour or so. She was legitimately just blindly lashing out over being abandoned by her one friend. Even then, she still breaks down and gives up within a day of the rage-high leaves her, acknowledges it's not healthy for anyone if she stays on Earth, and only begins to learn to trust again at the very end of the movie.

She was only really evil for about a day, and it was just her acting on the feelings of abandonment and betrayal. It's the most reasonable redemption the series has done.

This movie is awful for different reasons.
-Why dont they make a hole in the glass and pump the liquid into a different container?
-Why dont they call the diamonds for help?
-And of course, the problem this series always had. Why dont they make a megafusion from all the gems and just trow the injector to outer space?
