How badly will it flop?

It's not on CN nor is it made by Rebecca Sugar or her friends

It is a comic.

It's not coming out, and even if it did it's not gonna be good. Ian can't write without someone else establishing the thrust and method, and even then he has trouble.

He got the Patreon ready. He said THIS YEAR!

>No cute or hot girls to attract attention.
>Detailed art style despite artist clearly not having time for it.
>Posts first page and no updates for months.
>First page is a cover, and not even an impressive one.
>Absolutely no explanation blurb anywhere or sense of what and why.
>A fucking lore tab, the death knell of all webcomics.
I like ABT, but this is screwed from the get go.

>Absolutely no explanation blurb anywhere or sense of what and why
They are keeping it secret.

>Airship with fish fins.

I swear someone is going to copyright that one of these days.

Starting a Patreon before your comic has even put up any pages is probably the worst thing you can do. It's telling readers you expect compensation from the start and want it as soon as possible. It makes them feel like you're likely to flake if you don't get paid and that you're desperate. At least wait a few months, especially if you're making a comic that intends to go for several years.

Also NEVER start with "Book One."
Again, it makes you look bad. Readers take that as you wanting to drag things out, or being unable to condense, or being a pretentious git. It doesn't excite them, it makes them dread the comic being a long fucking thing. You're better served giving chapters titles and/or numbers and then either following up something if it succeeds with a "sequel" or ending the first part with [End of Book/Act/Part 1]. You'll notice Homestuck doesn't even mention Acts until the first one is over. That's not an accident.

Seems kinda pointless.
The blurb on top already says "sci-fi fantasy epic," it's not like an introduction or About page is gonna hurt.

The lead character actually is a girl. It's just hard to tell because her breasts are a super minor detail and the art has tons of little incidental bumps and curves. Also her face and hair are 100% androgynous.

The fact that this thread is sinking since you didn't mention this was created by the writer of the Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, TMNT, etc comics should say enough.

How many times has Flynn tried doing a webcomic? There was the one with the characters that looked like aged up versions of Tails and now there’s this... is he just really bored or really out of money?

>There was the one with the characters that looked like aged up versions of Tails
Pretty sure he just helped the creator of that one, it wasn't his baby.
And he started out as a webcomic author. His first Sonic work was on a fan comic!

In fact...

Have fun trying to read this.

It really bugs me that Ian's dialogue still reads sort of like this. He's better now, but...

>Backhanding the spin jump cuts his hand.
Ow the edge! Literally!

Can you feel the early 00s?

Big problem with this comic: sometimes it's hard to even see what the hell is supposed to be going on.

Isn't it a bit ironic that this is less tell-don't-show than Ian's current comics?

Aaaaanime.

Ultimate proof that Ian is a Bunnie-fag.

On one hand, trying to tell a story about a sniveling, useless coward in the Sonic world finally manning the fuck up and doing something worth a damn is a nice hook for your story.
On the other hand, having it be an isekai where Sonic becomes a sort of self-insert and everyone constantly shits on him for easy heat from the audience and the conflict they're fighting is some edgy fanfiction bullshit...

I just always liked that Sonic was this universe's Antoine

Attached: Sonic Other M.png (645x885, 732K)

Like I said, it's not great because it's only used as a way to rile the reader up as a means to get them invested. Everyone shits on him way harder than anyone ever shat on Antoine and since Sonic's isekai'd himself over here it ends up with relentless dick sucking.

Ian did the worst kind of isekai before it was cool. You have to give him credit for that.

If you want more, I'll do more, but it's just gonna get crazier and cringier.
