Ghost Rider.

Legit Mr Freeze could beat her
Tomies main power is to control any man and make them her slave till they give into there urge to kill her And that usually results in Tomie killing them through horrifying body horror

But it was shown in one of the mangas a man who loved a woman who has passed away she can’t control
For some reason a man Grieving for the loss of there loved cant be make into her slave

Mr Freezes whole life revolves around his frozen wife so Tomies mind control won’t work on him

And of course all he has to do is freeze her and she’s fucket

A gay male one. Ito actually did a new story about Tomie being stumped by a narcissist who doesn't notice her.

How does it end?

I always think a three parts shorts of Constantine and Tomie crossover story would very cool, what is the plot going to be like ? Tomie is the main female lead of the shorts and the story took palce in England.

Or basically anyone else who can just dump her ass in another universe

Attached: Spot.jpg (498x756, 134K)

Unironically this. She would be another Tuesday for Dr Strange

I AM THE CONSEQUENCE TO COURTING CHAOS

I don't think I've seen that one. Link? Or title, I can just go look it up on my own if I have the title of the short.

So if she keeps replicating from every single bit of her, how long before she's essentially turned everything into part of her?

Lobo. And it would be a great mini-series.

You guys are trying to bend Tomies universe with whatever foe you want to fight her. That wouldn't/won't happen. Whenever there is a crossover like this you gotta take in account BOTH universes. Junji's mind is downright a Lovecraft dimension... only worse. Why? Because at least on Lovecraftian horror, there is a physical manifestation of it (yeah, on different planes, but still exists) on Junji's universe of horror, it doesn't; darkness just be, and no matter what, it'll always end up breaking you sooner or later. There is no escape if it *really* wants to get you. That's what makes Junji's horror so unique and terrifying. Whoever ends up fighting her will only ever surpass her if the world wants it. No matter how cool your magic tricks are, they won't function on the same way.

How to escape? Man... only by going on with your life. Some people escape the nightmare on such trivial ways.

The world will always bend to the will of the protagonist, that’s usually how stories go. Hero finds a way.

But now you're doing the reverse.

It's like whenever these crossover threads happen, everyone treats one side as absolute even if it's the same power because it's the side they're familiar with.

I could see Lobo picking a fight with Ito himself and pull him into the panels with how much shit doesn't make sense in his stories.

Nah.

There are so many comic characters who could end her it's ridiculous. Galactus, Shuma, Darksied, etc are bigger badder Lovecraftian horrors than her and they're dealt with.

>You gotta follow the law (of Junji's horror)
No,I'm a crook, fuck your rules

Attached: spothang.jpg (640x480, 105K)

yeah, isn't it? see:

for example.

No matter how powerful your X character is in HIS universe, it would be meaningless on the laws of physics/magic of the other. And if we were to put them on a neutral place... then nothing would really happen because so many of these need those laws to function.

She gets beaten in her own universe every now and then so there's no reason to believe that she can't get beaten by Yea Forumsmics.
Her powers include:
>regeneration and immortality
>emotion manipulation of people attracted to her
>ability to turn other people into herself
So long as you don't have hots for her and can destroy her at the cellular level you should be fine.
She's also pretty self-destructive and doesn't like her clones so she can probably get tricked into killing herself.

Lobo almost being defeated and dragging Ito in to see how it feels being a character in his stories, leading to a wuss ending that exasperates Lobo even more, sounds like the only way it could end.

You're argument is that Tomie wins because Junji Ito writes it that way.

That's nonsense.

The fact that she needs authorial fiat to compete means she's already lost.

So is she just a Lovecraftian monstrosity?

Sounds like a fun Authority adventure.

again mate:
IF you want to do this, you will blend HER universe to your character fight. Your scientist/magician have the means to destroy her at a cellular, hell, let's go sub atomic level? Then some goddamn evil bullshit will bring her back in some way. But why? Because that's how she works. It is never truly explained, it'll be forever be a mystery because that's how infinite horror works.

another guy to quote!

Tomie is very beatable, she just doesn’t stop.

Why does Yea Forums have so many characters like this.

"It just works like that to an infinite degree because it does"

is not /a shit gdi, is literature. General fiction.

Did you have a stroke writing this?

a little one. It was such a nerdy/dorky reply that I just got exasperated for a second there desu.

>THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY FRAGGIN' SENSE, ITO-MAN

Attached: lobolastczar3.jpg (419x648, 113K)

Pretty much this. She's essentially Japan's answer to Jason from what I'm reading on her.

>I can't die! Look at my contract! Lo-bo can't frag-gin' die! Now unless you want me to call my agent Bride of Fragginstein over there has to take the fall!

So only a threat to unpowered, untrained, unprepared people?

Sounds about right.

Also Tomie has no business trying that Lovecraftian cosmic horror in Western comics.

Along with the Pulps American comics birthed that be-tentacled goop baby.

Hell the Shadow could and would take her out. Fogging her mind, getting her to dump herself in acid over and over again laughing all the while.

Reported for Off Topic. Get out with your anime junk.

Announcing a report is against the rules, retard

Are you implying you reported him?

Its stated that Tomie cannot regenerate or grow new ones if you burn her at a high enough temperature.

So, that really broadens the range of who can kill her.

So she's not a Lovecraftian horror she's just a shapeshifter that thinks she's a Lovecraftian horror?

Humanoid Abomination is the trope.

We don't know what she is. She could be a succubus, a Yokai, or some sort of natural phenomena. There was this great fan theory that suggested she was a type of fungus, which mimics the appearance of attractive human female, for the sole purpose of forming a parasitical role within the human societies

Tomie has one of her victims attack him and then she mocks him for being ugly. He responds by infecting a bunch of girls with the Tomie virus and vows to make sure at least one makes it to be an old woman so then he can mock her.

>There was this great fan theory that suggested she was a type of fungus
Any place where one could read it?

Is it the one with a male model?

Pyro, Johnny Storm, anyone who can manipulate fire, Scarlet Witch, Wiccan, Molecule Man, Phoenix, Toro, the original Human Torch, Nova (Franky), Ghost Rider, Hellfire, Franklin Richards off the top of my head

X-23 they both kinda die alot

Rinne Tensei Madara Uchiha with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsus (with the rikidou paths ability) equipped with his Gunbai and control of the juubi and Gedou Mazou, a complete Susano'o, with Hashirama Senju's DNA implanted in his chest so he can perform Mokuton kekkei genkai and yin-yang release ninjutsu as well as being extremely skilled in taijutsu and bukijutsu.

This raises an interesting question. What happens if you infect X-23 with the Tomie virus?

Honest question should I aspire to achieve this aesthetic fully, I am partly there

Her body probably fights it off.

I think Sneed could take her on even on a bad day. And I'm not even talking about hill billy farmer Sneed sitting on a chair wearing blue overalls and a red hat. Heck I don't even mean mean elderly shop owner Sneed selling seed, feed and gummybears. I'm talking about Sneed's Feed and Seed Formerly Chuck metaphysical forced meme concept Sneed with full anti-city slicker banter mode active, wearing the ultimate gucci loafers powered by fancy german car technology, after having received a manicure at Park Avenue from a Guatemalan hobo and with fully unlocked la-dee-da vocalizations while believing in good grooming.

Anybody who is able of affecting matter on a molecular level.

I just wanna see a Johnny Bravo & Tomie crossover

Attached: Johnny_Bravo_Render.png (924x1113, 337K)

How would that go? I dont think Bravo would end up dismembering her.

I don't really know myself, but I'd like to think that at the end, Johnny's got himself girlfriend.

He'd probably accidentally get her dismembered because of wacky shenanigans. And it would probably eventually lead to her getting scared of him.

I was really surprised to find out there's like over a dozen Tomie movies.

No the male model was into tomie. She just kept fucking with him and insulting his looks.

Tomie is fun for a few chapters then becomes repetitive as fuck
she moves to new location, all guys fall in love with her, all guys kill her, repeat.

Goku. Basically take her out with enough firepower like he did with Buu and he is too much of a fighter autist to be affected by her charms

Tomie meets her match. Someone who falls for her charms yet is still more obsessed with themselves than her. She would become massively annoyed and probably fall victim to antics unintentionally caused by him until she decides to cut her losses and flee / comically beat him up until he fucks off. Johnny would just shrug off the encounter and go after the next babe...probably Hachishakusama

Just finished the manga, and by now all of Japan at the very minimum is likely nothing but a big singularity of Tomie-flesh.

And that guy didn't do anything wrong. He is right this Japanese manga shit does NOT belong on Yea Forums. Tired of the off topic shit that the mods refuse to delete. Then again they ALSO do not delete the spam of Steven Universe threads. This place has shit moderation.

It belongs if it's about what Yea Forums characters could do against Tomie.

>read Uzamaki and Gyo
>Tomie is bigger than both of them
>book meanders for 200 pages then just abruptly ends
The premise is good but I feel like Ito ran out of ideas or didn't know how to actual end a story about a girl who can't actually die

The only reasonable ending is post-apocalyptic where the Tomies have pretty much turned Japan into a war zone, trying to kill each other through their servants but only replicating more and more.

Goku would probably end up making the problem even worse by causing her to bleed at some point during the encounter thus making her multiply even more

spinel

An android who only appears human, and who has powerful fire abilities? He'd be more than a match for her.

Batman who laughs will show and traumatized her.

Call me reddit, but deadpool vs tomie would be pretty funny

Fuck you reddit

Holy fuck

Guys like Fate and Strange literally beat Lovecraftian terrors on the regular. They have the tools to deal with it.

Tomie ends up corrupting both of those dudes in the end, with the guy who's girlfriend died instead dreaming about Tomie, and the ugly guy growing obsessed with her.

It's not about sexual desire for Tomie. Seeing her AT ALL causes you to become utterly obsessed with the mere concept of her. Doesn't matter if it's a man, woman, or a child or any persuasion. And the process is accelerated the longer you remain in contact with her.

She regenerated from ashes in one story. So the degree of carbonization needed to completely eradicate her is either stupidly and ludicrously high, or that was just another desperate ray of hope.

Hellboy

With all the fucking issues and baggage he has just waiting to be exploited? Not a chance in hell.

He's got Liz, though. Tomie's going to get roasted bad once she starts getting involved.

>Liz
>not also having a fuckton of issues and baggage
And this is entirely ignoring that Tomie can affect women just as easily as she can men. Liz is likely to start taking pieces of Tomie's hair and sticking them in her head than anything else.

Don't bother. The fag is completely committed to his "the point of the character is everything" trolling bullshit. He'll never concede Tomie is food for far stronger characters. In the case of Ghost Rider, maybe literally.

>Tomie does her thing while Jhonny does his own.
>Jhonny comically avoids/beats the crap of other males possesed by Tomie, while utterly oblivous of Tomie weirdness.
>Tomie decides to get rid of Jhonny herself but falls for plenty slap stick, which could be considered fatal, moments.
>Finally she gives up and accepts Jhonny's love. Jhonny finally has a Girlfriend
>Cue romantic/slapstick/creepy montage with Jhonny and Tomie
>At the end Jhonny relationship ends by Tomie herself
>Turns out in one of the accidents Tomie had while trying to get rid of Jhonny, she splitted and the Tomie that was with Jhonny was another one.
>The original and Tomie #2 bicker with a confused Jhonny about how could be so heartless to cheat on her.
>Both Tomies go away to a frat party because there will be lots of Boys there.
>Jhonny says something witty about not wanting to meet more creepe ladies when he spots Pic related up a tree.
>Cue episode ending with Jhonny raising and eyebrown.

Attached: images - 2019-09-04T001642.080.jpg (315x467, 51K)

Not that guy, but Strange has been brought down by shit far weaker than Tomie, as per the usual with Marvel characters. He's at his absolute best when he has time to ramp up and get his shit in order, which nowadays he usually doesn't. And he has all kinds of vices and failings as a person on top of that.

Dr Fate would eradicate her if he cared, but it's Nabu. Why would he ever notice her, let alone raise a single finger to help?

>not ending with Jhonny breaking his leg and her coming down to "help"

Yeah I'm dumb, Jhonny should had slipped on a banana peel first and while on the ground she approaches him

Tomie is real and I mean REAL small potatoes as far as Strange is concerned.

She's spooky in her own world, against ordinary humans and a government unwilling to pull out the big guns, but she's got no business dealing with the MU or DCU.

If she's REAL lucky Darksied might bottle her up and keep her as a weapon. Otherwise she's just a slow afternoon and a skidmark on the ground.

Unlike Tomie, I can't really see him getting out of that one. Casual time travel is a bitch.

>Tomie is real and I mean REAL small potatoes as far as Strange is concerned.
And Strange has broken his fucking arms agianst less. You also forget that Marvel is fucking cardboard agianst anything not subject to its rules and strict hierarchy. Tomie probably can't destroy it on her own, but she doesn't need to. She really only needs to do as she always does and she'll get along fine.

Any of Junji's higher tier villains like the Spiral or Lord Amagami run roughshod over the MU.

>If she's REAL lucky Darksied might bottle her up and keep her as a weapon. Otherwise she's just a slow afternoon and a skidmark on the ground.
There's a non-zero chance that Darkseid makes her into a New God. She has abilities that owuld greatly benefit his cause.

Hard to say. Anything that could possibly eliminate all of her at once.
Even if you kill "a" Tomie, there's probably another one already grown across the world.

>Johnny accidentally causes Tomie to bud off another Tomie
>"Whoa, mama!"
>Someone makes a vague reference to Gremlins
>Probably Pops

With that one, since she kinda nurtures someone to good health until the time shenanigans happen I think Jhonny's Bravo mom would show up right on the moment the time loop is going to happen and beat the shit out of her for trying to steal her son by pampering and feeding him "strange soup".

So it the point of this thread just to jack off to how amazing Junji Ito's mind and ideas are over every one else in existence?
You may as well just have yet another Goku powerlevel thread if you aren't even here to try and consider anyone else's opinion and just say that she wins because she won't lose.

Attached: 1414086084918.png (170x260, 79K)

I mean, he's basically been eating himself. Assuming the loop still closes at some point, Jhonny is going to be missing limbs and organs once a certain point hits.

It's probably some dude who has just read his first non-shonen manga, like the autist who spammed Carl Barks for like two months (who I suspect is the same guy who keeps recommending mediocre historical eurocomics that are an inch away from capeshit anyway, but they're european so they're probbably good)

Junji Ito's work is good but his shit attracts power level faggots who think horror should become about power levels.
I remember an autist on /tg/ who seriously couldn't take the answer that Remina would get fucked over by the Imperium because they had Virus Bombs.

>but his shit attracts power level faggots who think horror should become about power levels.
Horror has a tendency to feature stupid high power levels, you realize? DBD, Tiwn Peaks, several of Ito's stories (Uzumaki and Travelogue of the Succubus in particular), Slenderman, Dresden Files, etc.

Also, the Imperium gets raped by anything faster than their shitty Warp travel. Maybe not Remina in particular, but a number of things kill them due to raw speed.

The whole point is that the main point of horror isn't "DOOOOOOOOOOD LOOK AT HOW POWERFUL THIS GOD IS SUCK MY COCK LMAO", it's about getting you scared for what could happen.
Taking a story intended for spooks and turning it into a power level debate is the stupidest shit. Please consider something else before you waste your life on this.
also
>slenderman

They really don't. They die as would be conquerers before them die. Neither of them has anything on Galactus, Knull, the Celestials, Odin, Zeus etc.

Shuma Gorath's equivalent of a toenail clipping would eat them. Zom would crush them as an after thought.

TOAA or TOBA? Literally write them out of existence.

Hell this Tomie your so impressed with? Xemnu can dominate a whole damn planet at once. He nearly conquered Earth back in the sixties. And in addition to mental slavery, the dude can transform other races into his species.

But he cannot put down the Hulk, not with all his mental might. Hulk cannot die, ever. He only comes back stronger, till the end of the universe, and beyond. Banner goes to Hell regularly. And not Hel, or Mephistos Hell or Hades.

Real Hell, Below All Things.

You think he's gonna give a crap about some Spiral? Do you think Doom will? Or Ghost Rider?

It's like Cthulhu all over again. Featless horror who ran from a steamboat. Ghost Rider would track all Times down, burn them to a crisp with Hellfire and drag her soul or souls down to the pit.

Remina would just be another minor problem to deal with in the grand scheme of 40k and she wouldnt even be top of the food chain.

Who the fuck is Jhonny?

>She regenerated from ashes in one story.

Then you don't even leave ashes.

You basically burn her til there's nothing left, not even ashes, then yeet her burning chamber out into space.

Make sure her chamber is also airtight as well.

>You think he's gonna give a crap about some Spiral? Do you think Doom will? Or Ghost Rider?
Hulk would die against the Spiral when it arbitrarily decides to turn his head into a galaxy. Same for Doom. Ghost Rider is the only relevant entity there.

>Please consider something else before you waste your life on this.
Says the guy wasting his time on shitty powerlevel dick measuring on Yea Forums and /tg/.

>slenderman
The version shared between MarbleHornets, TribeTwelve and HYBRID has a number of multiversal feats. In one case, he actually *is* a multiverse.

>Horror has a tendency to feature stupid high power levels
No it actually doesn't comparatively to any other medium. Horror powerlevel can be boiled down to baseline things. The assumption that we are extremely vulnerable and fragile if not powerless to the forces that be, and the lack of knowledge and tools to deal with the situation.

>what is Dark Tower
>what is Dresden Files
These are only two examples, and both of said examples are so obscenely strong it's silly, even in comparison to other shit out there.

Horror, as a rule, tends to get really fucking retarded powerlevels outside of Slasher movies.

>These are only two examples
BOth of whic have more in-line to fantasy action novels then they do actual fucking horror. Read actual Lovecraft, William Hope Hodgson, Robert W. Chambers. Read fucking "It", an actual horror story made by the same guy that wrote Dark Tower, or NOS4A2 by his son.

>Horror, as a rule, tends to get really fucking retarded powerlevels outside of Slasher movies.
No it doesn't.

So you're arguing with authorial fiat in place for one side but not the other, that's not how vs debates go. In vs debates we take the plot out of the picture and just judge who'd win based on abilities. Like if we were doing the Justice League vs The Anti-Spiral I couldn't go 'Superman wins because he's the hero of the story' because in the neutral vs debate he doesn't have meta support, its just down to what he can do.

Do you understand Yea Forumsnon? You can't do 'oh she'd win because even if she lost she'd still win because that's how the story'd go'.

>BOth of whic have more in-line to fantasy action novels then they do actual fucking horror.
They're actually both in the genre. Dresden Files has more of a horror focus than the Dark Tower though, but the latter still counts. Pretty much all of King's stories are in the genre by default.

>No it doesn't.
Yes it does. You brought up both Lovecraft and Hodgson, who fucking MADE settings with this kind of premise.

>They're actually both in the genre
Reading comprhension you retard, I didn't say they weren't horror, I said they had more in common with fantasy action novels.
>Yes it does. You brought up both Lovecraft and Hodgson, who fucking MADE settings with this kind of premise.
And this is why you need to fucking read the actual stories to understand why the horror works in the story. Fundmentally, the philospohy of Lovecrafts's horror assumes we can do nothing against these powers because we are humans, mundane and grounded humans based around reality not fiction. Suddenly introducing comic books narrative into the mix destroys this because this assumption is no longer true.

Also, in regards to Lovecraft specifically, Cthulhu is stopped by a boat ramming into him, a team of scientists destroy a demon in the Dunwhich Horror with science, a man seemingly kills an eldritch abomination with a flamethrower and vats of acid in the Shunned House. a painter kills a monster he keeps as a reference on Pickman's Model, and for the most part an old man can hold back the tides of the abyss with his violin playing in the Music of Erich Zhann, etc etc. Actually read some Lovecraft you shitbag.

Just in recent times we have Bloodbourne which takes HEAVY inspiration from these setting.

tl:dr you have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

She incinerates eldritch abominations with the power of God.

Attached: images (6).jpg (500x567, 64K)

>Reading comprhension you retard, I didn't say they weren't horror, I said they had more in common with fantasy action novels.
Still horror primarily. Can't weasel out by saying they "have more in common with X", and even THAT'S not true.

Umr At-Tawil speaks with multiverse destroying force when it appears in Through The Gates of The Silver Key. And that is just a singular avatar of Yog-Sothoth, amongst the numbers of the utterly boundless Outer Gods.

>Also, in regards to Lovecraft specifically, Cthulhu is stopped by a boat ramming into him
Wrong.

>a team of scientists destroy a demon in the Dunwhich Horror with science
They banished the Horror using an elaborate ritual. "Science" did jackshit.

tl:dr you have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

Simple, Souichi.

>Still horror primarily. Can't weasel out by saying they "have more in common with X", and even THAT'S not true.
Except it isn't primarily horror precisely because it uses less narrative elements from the genre.
>Umr At-Tawil speaks with multiverse destroying force
Yes some of Lovecraft's work did have high level forces, however an also large bulk of his work does not. This point you make ignores the fact that many comic book characters are plenty capable of that kind of feat, and that disregarding how it is presented, isn't all that special in the grand scheme of fiction.
>The last two points
Nitty gritty details of an incomplete ritual with Cthulhu and my memory confusing details of Shunned House with Dunwich doesn't negate the fact that the forces were overcome in some capacity through relatively mundane feats that normal people could do.

Humor me this, do you have any examples of high level forces in horror genre that don't deal with cosmic horror anyways?

>Turns out she was feeding him Pop's Surprise Delight, which for everyone was even worse than feeding him himself. Jhonny being Jhonny asks for more.

Time travel? I don't recall anything about time travel being involved in Tomie.

Tomie vs Carnage. What happens?

Tomie's power, like much of Junjixs horror, resides in obsession. Any green lantern with sufficient willpower to rebuke the star sapphires could do away with her without consequence.

Doesn't Heatwave's gun do pretty much exactly that?

>Pyro, Johnny Storm, anyone who can manipulate fire
She can regenerate from ashes. It'd need to be someone who can completely disintegrate her or freeze her permanently.

Carnage doesn't fall for her wiles (because he doesn't care about people) and shreds her up, but bits of his symbiote get into Tomie's blood and ends up spawning Carnage-Tomies from her corpse.

End result: we're all fucked.

Should be a Star Sapphire.

Actually, I take this back. I thought of a better idea.

>Tomie meets Carnage and convinces him to impress her by killing and burning everything she wants.
>Carnage is all for it at first, but as Tomie gets more domineering as she always does, he finds it not as fun anymore.
>Finally, he gets bored and slices Tomie up, getting the expected result as she replicates (with bits of symbiote in them now to crank her danger level up even further).
>Carnage actually finds himself in love with her now, even though all the Tomies continue to reject him. Finally, he's found his dream girl: cruel, controlling, and able to survive him no matter how hard he chops her up.

ladderbro
