Why does this show have so much fucking lore

It's full of the stuff they use to make console in Star Trek.

To think that back in the beginning, Vilgax was almost on the level of Darkseid in how much of a big deal he was, and then every sequel and spin-off made him into a jobbing joke.

"Goodbye and Good Riddance" should have remained the true series finale instead of being rewritten into non-canon.

I dont think it was ever intended to be canon honestly, it opens the same way as gwen ten and that was non canon as shit

It obviously was, since the whole idea of the episode was that Ben's vacation was over and it was time for him to go home, and it bookends cleanly with a final fight against Vilgax.

Of course, CN being CN, they wanted to keep the series going and so the finale obviously had to be redone to allow for continuations, hence the Gwen 10 comic format.

That was treated more as a joke, not as a finale.
