Fuck that mutt
Based Bender killed him
The dog episode became retroactively less sad since now fry did return and got to live with him.
It's become less sad due to reddit sucking it's dick over how depressing it was and how much it "made them feels".
>there are people on Yea Forums who cry over cartoons
Pathetic
Why exactly is this episode so sad? Because his brother named his kid after him?
Basically any episode that acknowledges that in Fry's time he disappeared and was never heard from again is sad as shit.
Something about Fry's realization that Yancy deeply cared about him, particularly when Fry spent most of the episode (and by extension his life to that point) resenting him for stealing ideas and an apparent life that he could have had if he weren't frozen.
I wouldn't call it sad, more bittersweet. But it had more of an emotional impact than Jurassic Bark no matter how you slice it.
Seeing that shitheads will pretend to have cared about you after you're gone doesn't have an emotional impact.
IMO it's more impactful than Jurassic Bark because the realization is given to the audience and characters alike, not just a tacked on ending to make us sad.
Surely it depends on whether you've got/had a brother or dog?
Fuck you faggot, they were both sad as fuck
Honestly the SU movie did the lost dog thing better
I actually did a strawpoll here a while back and people tended to prefer Fryrish over Jurassic Bark regardless of siblings or dogs.
>THE ABSOLUTE COPE AT THE VERY FUCKING END
>better
lmaoing at your entire existence my duderino
It was way more emotional, Fry remembering just the bad things and thinking his brother stole his name and succeeded because he stole the clover and then he sees how much Yancey really appreciated him. And Yacey’s son did all the things Fry wanted to do so he really carry on his spirit .
Fry went back to see Seymour, Pink didn't with her "dog". Cope yourself.
because pink FUCKING DIED
But the fact that Fry will never know how long Semor waited for him is exactly what makes it so sad. It’s the fact that Semor’s Labour goes unthanked and unappreciated, at least by Fry; It would have been less sad if Fry learned the truth. The moral of the story is that your pets care about you more than you realize; it would have softened the impact if Fry had learned the truth.
pink didnt WANT her dog you fucking retard
you SU babies are insufferable I swear to god.
This episode isn't really sad, more heartwarming than anything. It is emotional though
This should've been the last episode. Not at that point in the series, but they should've saved it for an en ending.
I have an estranged younger brother with some bad chemical habits and also love animals. Both are pretty sad episodes.
>Not a single mention of this episode
My personal opinion, but i think this is the best episode in the feels regard.
based
only episode to make me cry
I didn't find the dog episode sad.
It works because since the beginning Fry, despite acclimatizing well to the future, always missed home. We also found out that he assumed his family never held him particularly close, even if he wasn't mistreated.
Finding out that he was never forgotten and always missed is an emotional punch that works better than Seymour's tragic end.
Dog episodes are cheap feels. Anyone who is moved by one should have their opinion discarded.
If there was anything the newer Futurama season did right was make alternate time Fry go back and take care of Seymour Asses
that was the movies, not cc seasons
I don't have either and I would say Luck of the Fryish is the better of the two.
This was a really good one too, though.
wait the movies weren't turned into episodes?
I need to read this brochure again
