Not to mention the mismatch of a powerful singer mixed with incredibly subdued music. Almost sounds like what you would hear for a rough recording at a musical.
Instead of going "What did she ____" six times in a row, could've actually mixed it up with some details that might be more personal. The song she sings when she's talking about her garden flashback is way better. It elaborates on her emotions, her goals, what she learns, etc. She doesn't restate herself how she's after Pink's approval for six lines, she gets it done with one and makes every lyric count.
This song is just dull and repetitive, barely being saved by a good singer.

The mixing for the whole special is pretty fucked in general. All the "instrumentals" (synth) are so flat in terms of dynamics.
