I mean they do get their own focus episode but as far as development goes, the show is mainly focused on the MOTW format and puts most development on Hiro's relationship with his friends and enemies. The Fredwank on the otherhand is way too obvious. They give him a love interest in the next season.

As for the other show quack quack, they seem generally happy with their publicity, since the initial reception pre-S1 of that was mixed at best. My mistake.

I've complained about this show's refusal to use the microbots that were the main focus of the movie, but what's actually confusing is that the show's never used the fact that they've opened a portal to another dimension, twice.

Surely it'd be simple to reveal "something" came through while the gates were opened. Just say it was microscopic so one noticed but it's getting bigger and more dangerous from exposure to our dimension.

The microbots weren't even really the main focus they were just tools for Yokai, after that with him locked up what real purpose do they serve?

Not him but they help distinguish Hiro from some kid that aped his older brother's project. Most of his tech is going towards vigilante shit that he can't openly take credit for.

The microbots helped him get into school so again what other purpose so they have?
Narrative wise there's not much to do with them that wasn't already done in the movie and in-universe they were basically an application for Hiro to get into the school.

I understand him not being able to use the microbots to fight crime because HE created them and "secret identities" but the whole segment in the movie that led to his brother's death was all about how useful the bots could be for society as a whole.

I like what they did in city of monsters with the bots, that was what I wanted.

Anyone else underwhelmed with these episodes? Even the Hiro and Karmi stuff felt very rushed. Why couldn't we sacrifice a useless episode like the multiple Noodle Burger Boy one to make City of Monsters a three-parter?

I´m only disappointed Hiro and Karmi didn´t get to say goodbye. Especially since she doesn´t know who saved her: Hiro or BH6. It also leaves it open for her to come back and still be a jerk to him.
Besides that, the season isn´t over yet.

I mean, she has no reason to be a jerk to Hiro, since they're friends now, but she likely still doesn't know about his secret.

Considering the next arc is dealing with secret identities, I'm guessing at least SOMEONE beyond Megan finds out, either Karmi or Aunt Cass.
