Phase 4 is a joke and most of their TV series aren't that appealing. How long have people wanting a Nova movie or at the very least having him appear in SOMETHING? There's bigger stuff they should be tackling that they haven't even made an announcement for yet and we already got up to 2022 being filled out.

I'm hyped for all their shows except Loki and mildly interested to hyped in all their movies except Eternals.

Phase 4 does seem to be completely based on the thought that since Guardians and Black Panther worked, then any and every third and fifth rate nobody will make billions. The more obscure the better.

Monica Rambeau from the Avengers & Ultimates is still Spectrum, but Doctor Spectrum from the Squadron Supreme is still a man. Two different characters.

There's so many characters and teams that they need to tackle first. Have we ever gotten a Thunderbolts announcement? That's definitely going to happen before a Squadron Supreme movie. Everyone keeps looking for random stuff to be put in the MCU and there's bigger movies that need to be made. Disney is putting a lot more focus on tv shows so for frequency you're more likely to see maybe Hyperion at some point on there. Maybe he'll get a movie in phase 6. But at this rate the MCU is doing sequels, a couple new heroes, and reestablishing others like Blade, F4, and X-Men.

We got Guardians of the Galaxy and Defenders before Fantastic Four, there really are no tiers of importance anyone is following. Or else no one would ever make Shang Chi ever since literally anyone is more important and known than him.

DC definitely would have the balls to do a Terrifics film though but it wouldn't be so much as a roast but more of an homage.

Eternals and Shang Chi are some weird picks. I would rather they go with some slightly more known characters that have been around more often like Nova, Namor, Quasar, Silver Surfer, Hercules, Photon, Warlock, or Ghost Rider.

Part of Quasar's origins are tied to the Fantastic Four, of all things. Wouldn't mind him establishing Wendell as an ex-SHIELD operative trying his luck at a security company in the Baxter Building (since Spider-Man is off the table, again) before getting his powers at Pegasus Lab.

Both Shang-Chi and the Eternals have been around since the 70s, but Shang Chi is a great character for a movie

Almost all asians in marvel are mutants, Wolverine villains, or Iron Man villains. Even then 99% of them are ninjas or samurai.

Without X-Men or other X teams you are pretty much down to Silhouette, Cho, Jolt, sister Grimm, and the later created members of Big Hero 6. And Shag Chi is kind of more known than almost any of these people.

Not been around longer, but appear in more things like teams, events etc. They have slightly more presence in the universe.

Yea Marvel should probably step up in the asian character department. Except the problem these days is that no one will attempt to make a new character, they will retire a currently existing hero and make a knockoff asian version of them. Like Chinese Vision or Korean Mr Fantastic.

Cant speak for Eternals (who always came off as side characters to me minus Sersi), but Shang-Chi was a pretty prominent and used character in the 70s. He at least has popped up from time to time since in various books like Marvel Knights, MAX, and Avengers.

He is their only stand-alone Asian character, and he's more than just a OneNote token Asian martial artist. Connecting him to the Mandarin now give him a bigger connection to the MCU and importance.
