This aired when I was a kid, but I never saw it much, as I was 8 when it came out and my parents were already starting to discourage cartoon watching by that age. Is it worth going back and revisiting, Yea Forums?

It's funny how Lex is the canon gay one whilst Brooklyn in the comics is literally a daddy with a Japanese waifu and yet it's the latter that gets all the gay porn.

>all my friends are here and smiling
>and demona is here too!

Most 90s cartoons are worth going back and revisiting due to their much higher production values and better voice acting compared to today. And Gargoyles was an exceptional show, even for the period.

i liked how it was "believably related to BTAS" to me.

Gargoyles had never aired in my country, so the first time I've watched it was a few years back, at 22y/o.
It's the best Western story-oriented cartoon I've ever seen. Totally worth it. Just remember that A) some episodes have wonky animation and B) there is NO third season. Enjoy!

it's one of the best tv cartoons not based on a prior property
you could say it's the ATLA of the 90's

>Your going to love it a lot more now that you can masturbate, but you'll be upest that disney are been cunts about the franchise

I was storytimeing the comics and even the writers and commenters noted how attractive he is, how did they do it when he has a snout?

Damn this girl loves drawing robot sex.

I'm glad its picking up more fans, I didn't grow up with it either, I actually discovered it through the nostalgia critic and it quickly became my favourite show.

also what country?

>Bumblebee

and
>Yaoi

she'll grow out of it.

>8 is too old for cartoons
fuck your parents

Poland. We had Darkwing Duck taken off air after 7 episodes due to being "too violent". With Goliath bleeding like five minutes into the pilot episode, Gargoyles never stood a chance. I actually remember catching it on some German channel once or twice, but fuck me if I could understand anything at the time. It's a very dialogue heavy show.

damn, sorry to hear

Season 1 is, yes.

Season 2 is a mind numbingly boring slog as they whittle the cast down to 3 characters and put them on a row boat for 26 consecutive episodes.

Season 3 (Goliath Chronicles) is somehow even worse.

It holds up very very well. Just skip the third season, 'The Goliath Chronicles'. Not worth the time to watch.

>Just skip the third season, 'The Goliath Chronicles'
There is no third season, just a non-canon spin-off.

the first half of season 2 is good, mainly for this episode.

I've never watched the 3rd season, how is it bad?

There's a lot of good Season 2 episodes. There's some clunkers in there since there's a whole lot more episodes produced, of course. But just pick and choose the good ones.

The gay porn is good.

If you skip the "world tour" arc, season 2 is actually pretty good. The animation takes a HUGE hit in certain episodes compared to the consistency seen in season 1, but that was because they had to stretch their money out across something like 52 episodes (whereas season 1 was only 13 episodes).

The world tour arc is really, really bad and takes up half of the goddamn season. But nearly all of it is world-building and deepest lore and expanded cast stuff that means NOTHING because none of it ever gets followed up on or played with again (since season 3 was done by different people and is considered non-canon). You can actually skip the entire 26 episode world tour arc and miss out on nothing significant to the narrative.

I'd say that the first half of S2 is the strongest part, peaking at the City of Stone multiparter. The World Tour starts off nicely as well, it just went on for too long. Fuck the Coyote/Xanatos/Maza Sr. episode.
Total change of the showrunners and writers. The new crew was given very little time to familiarize themselves with the series and missed the mark entirely.
