I liked it’s version of Joker
I can't believe it was written by the guy that came up with Vivec.
People were too sick of telltale games at the tine to care about it
It had the best use of rocket boots as a combat weapon that I've seen. That final battle gave me everything that I wanted.
And the season 2 final battle?
I felt satisfied with what I got from season 1 that I don't plan to revisit it any time soon. From spoilers, I guess the big draw is the Joker this time around? Might be cool.
It's such a shame
>Best depiction of Two Face
>Best depiction of Joker
>Best Catwoman
>Batman is humanized and not unbreakable
>Brutal fights
One of the best Telltale games, wish it had done better
You WERE a good friend to John, weren't you?
The best Batman show we never got. Definitely Telltale's second best production, everything I wanted out of a good batman adaptation with some good twists.
It's got evil Waynes though
Season 2's big draw is more that you go undercover with a bunch of iconic villains. So basically you have to try and sell yourself as a villainous Bruce Wayne while being a good Batman. Joker is a huge part of that but the tense plot is just great all around. And your choices actually matter more this time.
I kind of liked that though. Seeing Bruce deal with the realization that his parents were kind of shitty people and that his fight is built largely on a lie is interesting. Seeing him continue on and become Batman for better reasons is cool.
Anyone else thought it was better to save Harvey? I liked his descent into madness better than if you let Penguin burn him
What's their first best?
I remember someone drew porn in one of the threads.
Not him, but it's definitely Tales From the Borderlands
Also not him, but I agree with you.
No fuckin way
Why is Batman giving a ride for Jokester?
did he take shrooms for this too?
where can i watch the whole thing?
They're bros, bro
It's fucking bananas. Basically, you meet Joker before he actually becomes "The Joker" and depending on how you interact with him he can instead become a completely insane vigilante and you go around kicking ass together. It rocks.
I loved it to death and consider it one of the best TTGs. I will admit alongside that however that I'm pretty casual when it comes to Batman for what that's worth. I kind of wish they'd lived long enough to get their hands on more Marvel IPs, or at least long enough to make either TWAU S2 or one last S&M season.
>he can instead become a completely insane
Just like me IRL
But isn't there just one ending?
The other two guys are right in that TftB is some of the best that modern Telltale had to offer. I don't know if I'd put it above Sam and Max season 2 though if we're talking their whole history and I think I'd put it on the same level as The Wolf Among Us if we're talking strictly "modern."
Of course Batman is very much up there too. It was so underrated, I think mostly because (as another guy said in this thread) people were generally fatigued with the format at the time.
Both of them end with you battling the Joker, but the final episode is literally completely different depending on which Joker you have. It's honestly impressive for Telltale, you can tell this was a series they actually cared about.
This and Borderlands stood out in a series of disappointments like TWD, GoT, and Poker Night 2.
Walking Dead Season 1, Wolf Among Us, Tales From the Borderlands, Both Batman Seasons, and maaaaybe Walking Dead Season 2 were the only good games that Telltale put out during that era. Everything else felt like a lazy cash grab.
Rhys be canon!
I don't trust Gearbox writers to do the Tales cast justice. I'm just gonna pretend that Tales is a one off story.
>Scooter's death be canon
Imma pretend that Tales is literally B3.
>Rhys does something badass
>No one is around to see it
Oi, I'll smash ya fokin jaw off, batman. I'm not fookin about here.
The Joker's voice actor and Travis Willingham as Two Face were both phenomenal
Season two is when the company sacked its CEO and genuinely wanted to turn things around and do new things with the formula. But by that point, they were too fucked financially and went broke.
Fuck, that hurts to read. Telltale will always have a softspot in my heart, and the fact that they were trying to turn things around makes their fall really tragic.
Oh well
See you Space Cowboy
I like the way Bruce was drawn on this. Too many times in modern comics he is overly muscular in comics that makes him look like a steroid junky. This one was just perfect. Classic Bruce Wayne is not even like that.
I liked it. Some characters, like Bane, got the shaft, but overall it was good. A shame we'll never see the resolution to Alfred's Angst arc.
Also, did anybody get rare endings? I pretty much always supported Jim outside of one time (when I let Catwoman go), and he STILL betrayed me, full through. Then I asked Waller to get him back on the force STILL, she agreed. But, in the ending, Gordon quit the police in disgrace, ashamed of betraying Batman. This was, like 0,01% ending, apparently.
Yeah, despite the controversial premise, this has worked very well for Bruce. Penguin and Lady Arkham weren't very strengthed by the plot, though.
Has my favorite version of Bane and one of my favorite Harleys.
It's been so long since I played that I can't remember if I got anything rare.
I know I had Catwoman still captured because I didn't think that a choice in a normal conversation would actually free her.
I fucking love it. Possibly the most original and interesting take on this character. And I'm fond of this version's Harvey Dent and Joker. They were both incredible. I chose to be friends with the Joker, and it paid off. Love Vigilante Joker
And Bruce Wayne in this is really charming and fucking likable. I mean really likable. I want that Bruce to be my bro
i feel terrible.
its shit
The penultimate episode ends with you discovering a disoriented John at the crime scene. It's implied he had a crazy fit and killed a few policemen.
>If you forgive him
John becomes the Vigilante Joker, who helps you fight against Waller's Suicide Squad, which is out for your heads. Eventually Joker goes too far and tries to murder Waller, Batman stops him, then visits at the hospital.
>If you ask him to be arrested
John blames Batman for turning him into a murder through mistrust and "fake friendship". He becoems VIllain Joker and saves Harley from Waller's troops. Next episode he takes over Wayne Ent, kills lots of characters, kidnaps Bruce and Selina, fights Bruce one-on-one. The ending is him in the hospital, alone, either plotting Bruce's death or reminiscing on your time together (whatever you said to him at the end). Waller rewards Batman for this path (you can release or arrest Catwoman, Lucius's daughter, plus some other shit I don't remember)
It helps that he's voiced by Troy Baker and behaves like an actual human instead of a brooding sociopath
That's what I love about that Bruce Wayne. You can make Batman this brutal sociopath that breaks people, but it's Bruce Wayne that ends up being the most human and more engaging in this. We can actually understand him better as a person and how much he tries to do the right thing for the city. He doesn't have to be right all the time, but we understand why he's prepared for any kind of scenario. And the way he behaves when he purrs the engines on his Batmobile was really adorable to see
And yes, Troy Baker's role did help with this performance. In fact, he made this Bruce Wayne a far better character than either the comics, TV series, and movies could have ever pulled off
I made my Bruce more of a social activist and philanthropist that's more friendly and open to the public instead of the typical playboy we've seen him as in every version. Which made him even more charming. But also based on your choices you can ever redeem Harvey and divert Joker from being a villain. If Bruce in other versions are like that then how many villains he could have prevented from emerging?
I want more of that Bruce. An absolute bro he is
That's why I never really liked the Arkham Batman. He was brutal to every villain, even the sympathetic ones and pushed all his friends away.
The Batman I grew up with actually cared about rehabilitating his villains

feminist trash
Uhhh, what
Maybe he's talking about Harley being the dominant one between her and "John". Or maybe Lucius Fox dying and getting replace by his daughter/Riri Williams.
Tiffany was definitely annoying, but I liked the role reversal with Harley being the abusive one
Too straight for people that wanted to indulge in the gayness and too gay for everyone else.
Harley being in charge was great, though.
>Expect Catwoman to betray me even though I trust her
>She doesn't
That was a good episode
>Scene where Rhys gives the middle finger to the Handsome Jack TVs was suppose to be him "flipping off" the tvs as in turning them off. Animator did it wrong. Kept it anyways.
>Fingergun fight came because of a lack of an action scene and it was the best thing they could come up with.
I love this game
