caught me again Flash!
Makes you wonder how he even wound up as a villain of Flash's if they're on that good terms.
Then again, I guess that's why he's on medication.
A lot of the Rogues have a pretty casual relationship with Flash.
>nobody gets me
They have an understanding

Hating on john is a meme
He may not make the most "too deep for you" stories, but hes not a bad writer.
Well, most of flashes rogues are just prideful assholes that want to one-up the fastest man alive. Besides Zoom, they don't HATE him.
Did he steal J'onn's cape?
>"Wanna play darts later? With Velcro tips?"
>"... Okay..."
Aww.
While the quality of the show as a whole is probably debatable (as in good but just how good), there are so many little moments that really stand out. Something a lot of the cinema releases have been lacking for years.
Why the hell did Batman and Flash bring Orion to deal with a few flash rogues? Seems a bit overkill.
That death really messed him up

Could anyone give me some Trickster recommendations! Both James and Axel recs are welcome
Bump
It's legitimately good
>Only 1 guy dying had more impact than in the DC movies and setup Superman really going out of his way to wail on Darkseid
Is there moments like that in comics? Where the hero see that the villain is out of their mind and help isntead of hurting them? Sounds like something Spider-Man would do.
Are you referring to Johnny Quick or Geoff Johns?
Johnny Quick is a coked up Murder Happy Asshole who needed to be put down.
Johns brought the Rogues back from the brink of obscurity cause Waid sure as hell wasnt doing much with them as a whole
Orion was making fun of Batman for being invited to The Flash Museums opening and Batman forced him to come along
The Rogues have literally had a party with Wally before. Their relationship with the Flash always combines a game of chess with bigger stakes. They don’t hate him, they just want to get their loot.
Not so much Barry but Wally was very willing to talk the Rogues down
Flash pleb here!
Who do they prefer: Barry or Wally
Love the episode but I really hate how Orion is so frequently used when a dumb brainless barbarian is needed. This did it, Morrison's JLA did it, King's Miracle Man did it, etc. He's one of my favorite charters and no one but Kirby gets him.
They're criminals, they're bad guys... but they're also professionals. They have standards, a code of conduct.
Spidey’s definitely had a few of those, especially with Silver Age Norman Goblin, Harry Goblin, the Lizard, Sandman, and some of the other villains in his roster.
Man, Justice League Unlimited was so fucking good.
The criminals always say Barry but they do the nice stuff to wally more. It was another thing Barry stole from wally to be interesting.
I don't really remember him being a dumb brainless barbarian in the ep, the episode was actually about him thinking Flash was one.
They Respect Barry but they get along better with Wally
Aside from King’s Mister Miracle Orion is mostly just portrayed as a hothead not brainless
Hours later and still no recs. Oh well....
I recommend you suck a dick.
>Orion is so frequently used when a dumb brainless barbarian
But he's literally based on Marvel Thor
Kirby made him to be DC's Thor though.
He wasn't a dumbass in this episode though, he was just over confident that Flash's Rogues were just a bunch of common crooks. The whole episode was about how needed the Flash was because if he wasn't there people like Mirror Master would run rampant.
>you fucking nigger, this is my ice cream
What did user mean by this
It's definitely good and I can see in 15 years or so people praising the DCCU for holding up better than pretty much every cape movie. I dont remember what exactly made me think, but I was rewatching this a few years ago and I remember thinking "Man, they probably had a huge checklist of everything that makes these characters awesome and are just ticking boxes", because it explores what makes the DC properties great to almost microscopic levels.
Thor really doesn't have the same kind of Shakespearean inner struggle and paradox at his core.
GIVING ME BOOKS STARRING TRICKSTER GOD DANG IT
His Kingdom Come appearance is awesome and appropriately tragic
>Shakespearean
To go on a tangent for a moment, I just had a thought crossed in my mind yesterday of how Julie Taymor could direct a New Gods film
Is it true that they made the Trickster gay or is that just a meem?
Another one:
Who tolerates the Rogues more, Wally of Barry?
Spiderman in last year's video game was quippy but did try to talk down shocker and doc ock
blue devil 7-9
Good choice but still George Miller for me. No one better understands the power of visual storytelling and mythmaking.
Spider-Man is a bully that berates his foes while beating them senseless.
Has George ever done a movie with a large scale?
Reading his JL: Mortal script, it looks like it would've been the "largest" film he could've done.
Yeah it made more sense when he was an incel in the Ditko days but Peter has been a chad pretty much since college
This shit right here
This is why Wally is MUH FLASH
Barryfags neck yourselves
Hey, fuck you man I like Barry.
Why are Wallyfags such bitches?
Superman once talked down a guy who was having a bad month and who decided to make a jetpack to cause menace. Not only did he help put things in perspective, he even helped him get the jetpack patented; after he serves a brief stint in minimum security for some minor menace. Was a very sweet scene.
How about you neck YOUR self, cause that shit isn't very Flash of you. Talking about that good shit that people love about Wally, then being an ignorant dickhead going right around and telling people to off themselves. You're a disappointment to Wally.
Why is this guy so fucking based?
that's part of what I loved about Flash, dude was the best of them because he was trying to bring out the best of his villains
Batman will just beat the shit outta them and throw them in the loony bin, Flash tried helping them
Gotham's rogues are a different animal altogether.
Given the average age of comic readers, most of them only had very little experience with Barry as the Flash, if any at all, before Wally became Flash in '86. For the vast majority of comic readers, Wally is the Flash. The fact that since his return Barry really hasn't had the quality of work that writers put into Wally when he took the mantle and writers also took Wally's traits, dynamics, and relationships and slapped them onto Barry, has not really endeared them to Barry. Barry's basically been Miles Morales for a lot of readers.
JL in general had a pretty fun way with many of the villains. While there were some baddies that were outright hated (Supes in particular having understandable hate-boners for Lex and Darkseid), many of the other villains in the show could be surprisingly good-natured if they wanted to. Like Humanite calling off his scheme to help Flash with the Christmas gift for the orphans.
>It's not going to like... explode or anything?
>How about you neck YOUR self, cause that shit isn't very Flash of you
Myself personally I've always been... the reverse.
Bumperino
This. To both.
No one knows.
I like that there's a explanation for Orion being Handsome McNormalman.
I mean that's literally part of his character from the first appearance. That's like saying "I like that there's a explanation for Spider-Man fighting crime"
But he's so often a minor character when the Darkside well gets tapped over and over they don't really go into his backstory.
