That's because Aku, while quite literally the embodiment of evil, is often shown in a humorous light. He toys with Jack, laughs at him, fucks up his evil plans sometimes, reads fucked up fairy tales to kids, etc. all while being given a stellar voice performance by Mako. You Aku is evil, but you enjoy him that way. He makes the series work.

By contrast, you see almost nothing of Pink but her childish cruelty and failures spinning out of control. You don't even get the pleasure of knowing what she sounds like very often. She exists solely as an indirect representation of bratty behavior causing trouble on a galactic scale. And so you are only left with reasons to hate her.

I still think Pink is more a retarded sociopath than actually evil. She has morals, they're just extremely fucked up because she's selfish and incapable of empathy. Saddling Steven with the fallout of her bullshit is in a way the most selfless thing she ever did. She became self aware. She knew she was fucked up and couldn't be fixed. So she rerolled and left her new form in the care of the person who made her realize all this, so that maybe her powers could be better used by someone capable of putting others first. Maybe it's a bit fucked up to put that on a kid, but she wasn't wrong.

Maybe, just maybe, the fact that she was horrendously flawed was kind of the point? She was a victim of abuse herself. What she did to Spinel was awful, but remember, she's a Diamond. The others can and have done worse. With those as role models, it's not hard to see how the early days of her life were so horrendous. She was a little girl that was forced to face her actions and needed to grow up, so she did, with no one to guide her on the path to being a better person. She's not evil, but deeply, deeply flawed, but placed on pedestals, both with the Diamond Authority and the Crystal Gems. The show began with Rose Quartz being this untouchable legend who could do no wrong, come tooo find out she did quite a lot of wrong, but tried to make things better anyway.

It's sort of fucked up thinking that just 20 years before the show she was still alive, but never once reached out to her sisters. I'm sure they could've reconciled and the Earth would not have to be put in any danger in the slightest

So when Pink inevitably did remember and feel guilty about Spinel, it was likely already too late to go back to the garden and get her.
