Hey Yea Forums I'm sharing the ashcan preview for my next comic project called BITE. I wrote this and work with a pretty talented team I hope you all enjoy it, I was gonna post it when the color version was made but it's still not done.

Cool stuff OP! There are some grammar issues but there you go. Is there a GI joe equivalent in this setting that fought Dread? Did they make their own aquatic super soldiers?

No there isn't one. All the forces who fought against them were conventional military or security forces depending where they attacked and if the fighting became open.

Olivia works so many odd-jobs that anything is possible. The comic is going to follow a more linear plot which is about circumstances of the past pulling them back into their old life.
Also the comic is going to have a Spanish translation too! My artist is from Barcelona and has some fans around SA who follow his stuff. We thought it would be a good idea to make a version for them too.

We're aiming to have the first issue ready by early or mid 2020. We're still planning out what to do with it. My artist has some friends from publishers that are watching the project but I was intending to maybe do a crowdfunding campaign.
Overall I am aiming for Issue 1 to be done out of my pocket and available for free.
We still have a few characters to sketch up and I'm planning out the later issues (it'll only go to 6) with my editors.
Some of the characters shots in color.
There is a larger cast planned and an antagonist. They just haven't reached the drawing phase yet.

There's no plans to make this political at all. It's an action oriented comic written like an R-rated movie, that's the gist of it. This ashcan is probably gonna be the only direct flashback look we have of the Terror Trio's past.

Olivia actually has a long list of ex-boyfriends in her post-DREAD life. Warrick makes some comments about it during the comic but she brushes it off as 'Sharks gotta keep moving'
Next I'll post the first four pages that were done in color!

You're pretty much witnessing what's been a few months of effort. Kinda wish I waited a little longer so there was more to show but I'm happy with the response here so far.
Are they humans, or sharks?
If you mean are they humans turned sharks then no. They were made in a lab with a cocktail of different DNA. It's just human and shark were the more dominant genes they used for their creation.
And some original concept pics done by the colorist of the comic. She offered to get in on the project when I told her about it. A big fan of TMNT and wanted in cause she thought it was pretty cool.
So do you have a central antagonist plan for the book?
Yes and her name is the DREAD MISTRESS. She's the daughter of the DREAD MASTER (their old boss) who ran the organization. One of the things that gets brought up is that DREAD was close to world domination at one point, they had advance tech and hidden bases almost everywhere but their undoing was due to the Master's overspending. Alot of profit was wasted on projects that while cool were a waste of money like massive laser cannons, weather manipulation machines, basically anything that looks like a GI Joe toy. The Terror Trio were one of the few worthwhile investments for a project.
Mistress comes in and wants to restart DREAD but do it in a more profit-minded method. Her goal with the new version is to take alot of the previous DREAD tech and find a way to sell it off or see if it can be mass produced for profit. She still intends to use it for evil purposes by selling it on the black market, anyone willing to pay a high price.
She intended to bring the Terror Trio back into the organization. They weren't really willing to go with her offer and that's what kicks off the events of the comic in Issue 1.

Not a bad start at all. You got yourself a nice, talented team. But the character pose just set off my drawing autism a bit.
I'm liking how the outfit drapes, but the fin being where it is is getting me. Is that shirt and jacket custom tailored for the fin? What's up with the tie?
I would assume that the clothing is custom tailored for the fin but what's your problem with the tie? Just tell me all your gripes with it, I'm very curious.
I've got a doc open taking down all the notes or suggestions in this thread so by all means give me something to add to it if you need to.
