in tpm yeah but then some literal who kid blew up the big space droid brain and disabled the entire army so in later canon I believe they gave each droid an independent processor "consciousness"

Officer B1s have slightly more independent processing capacity and can be interacted with by meatbags better. The big control computers are handling too much to do complex behavior via wi-fi.
