I think the first several will be remakes, especially with trying to get the nostalgia angle so people can accept the new series (which so far they are doing a great job), but they'll eventually get into new stuff.
Even so, how much really needs changing? The show was prime material as is back in 1996, just slightly modernize it and you don't even need to change the plot
