YES
they werent as good as John K's
Kill yourselves Spunco shills
This
Some were better than John K era but a lot was just okay and wasn't as good as the first John K era.
All of them were better than Adult Party though.
This. While John K. was a gigantic ass to work with for staff and execs, he initially knew how to make Ren & Stimpy work like no other. After he and most of Spümco were laid off, the remaining staff at Games Animations didn't understand R&S as Kricfalusi did, so made it about just gross-out humor.
>All of them were better than Adult Party though.
Ren Seeks Help was great and Firedogs 2 had its moments
>Games Animations
>not related to Games in anyway
Stimpy's Cartoon and Hermit Ren are probably the only standouts from the Games Animation era.
The most important question in this thread? Why did Nick call it "Games Animation" and not just "Nickelodeon Animation Studios" immediately? When Cartoon Network Studios was a subsidiary of Hanna-Barbera, it was immediately named "Cartoon Network Studios".
Reverend Jack, Ren´s brain, Scotsman in space, Jerry the Bellybutton elf, Ren´s bitter half, Double header, I was a teenage Stimpy, Stupid sidekick union and Who´s stupid now? say you are wrong.
Bob Camp is criminally underrated.
>Why did Nick call it "Games Animation"
Maybe the people in that studio spent more time fooling around and having fun than actually working.
>Be Nick
>John K & Spümco starts to get annoying
>into_the_trash_it_goes.jpg
>No studio to produce R&S
>what_now.jpg
>create your own studio
>what to call it
>someone says that this was all fun and games, but they need a good name for it
>fun and games
>games
>lightbulb.jpg
That's probably how that went.
John K is the reason why Ren & Stimpy is a dead franchise retards, Adult Party Cartoon was so shit that the execuvites want nothing to do with the series no more, and announced that they will never get a reboot or a movie like some other Nicktoons did
I didn't like them then and I have no nostalgia for them now. Objectively speaking, they're honestly no worse than Spongebob or any other Ren & Stimpy rip-off that Nickelodeon's puked up since then.
I remember liking a bunch of ren and stimpy episodes so i suppose i didnt think they were bad?
ill probably have to look one of these days to see what episodes i liked that were under games animation.
Most of them are mediocre. There's some gems. There's also some godawful ones. But that there was watchable content at all and that several were actually good is commendable given how rough the Games crew had it around the time.
Imagine dealing with all the shit from John and his followers, not to mention the pressure from the whole industry on keeping up the standards from old, while suffering the loss of several key members of the team...Facing all that stress while your job is to churn out funny cartoons.
Spongebob is nothing like Ren & Stimpy retard
Ren seeks help wasn´t by any metric "great" but it at least it wasn´t as vile as Stimpy´s pregnant or Onward and Upward.
Fire dogs 2 had at least Ralph Bakshi who is amazing.
My first exposure to this show was through the DVD releases and I always felt the episodes on the last two sets were largely terrible. Only later did I find out that was because they were made by a different group.
Yeah, Spongebob has two Stimpys instead of one. Completely different.
Post-movie Spongebob is basically Ren and Stimpy, user.
>Adult Party Cartoon was so shit that the execuvites want nothing to do with the series no more, and announced that they will never get a reboot or a movie like some other Nicktoons did
Maybe that was John K’s plan all along, to ruin one of Nick’s greatest cashcows.
This is a good thing, though. Name one reboot/continuation of a 90s cartoon that actually worked. You can't.
Dead is better.
>bottom right
*sigh*
*unzips dick*
>Hey Arnold
>Rocko
>Reboot
Dead is too good for Hey Arnold.
no fucking way the bottom right is real. how did they get away with that?
Bottom right is real. See "A Pal for Gary".
The whole show was massively overrated, desu
It's one of only three genuinely good, no nostalgiafaggotry or autism required, American-made cartoons ever made. The other two being The Simpsons and Batman.
Your dick has a zipper?
It's Spongebob. It still prints money for them almost as much as it did 20 years ago. They can basically do whatever they want.
nice being able to point out the newfags
Yes. Theatrical stuff is excluded. Though the past 20 years have been pretty barren on that front as well.
John K is just the very, VERY poor man's Tex Avery. There is nothing he's done that someone before him didn't do way better. His fans are the most autistic and nostalgic of all.
I think you mean Bob Clampett, user.
Regardless, as I approach my 40's, Ren & Stimpy (the first two seasons) are one of three cartoons that I can still watch without rose-colored blinders on. Still genuinely funny and enjoyable to watch, even as a grown-ass man.
Adult Party Cartoon proves to me that sometimes it's good to give creators limitations, and not just let them do whatever they want. Having to work within limitations fosters creativity.
>Tex Avery
He's a fucking hack user, didn't you see one of his last creations?
youtube.com
Stimpy's Cartoon is actually my favorite R&S episode.
He can be the lame version of more than one person
Die.
ultra kek
God that show was embarrassing...
No, because he's nothing like Tex Avery. Like, at all.
A fair assessment, but he sure tries to be. Especially with the wild takes and sexualized women.
Speaking of Spumco and game animations...
I didn't think so. John K. just had more classics if you go down the list, but I don't think his episodes were consistently great like people made them out to be. People always act like every episode under John K. was perfection but only end up mentioning the same 4 or 5 episodes when talking about it. And that list always includes Space Madness, Sven Hoek, and the Happy Helmet.
youtube.com
Some more haha
>People always act like every episode under John K. was perfection
They were all at least pretty good tb h
The weakest Spumco episodes come from the first season, and it's really just those storybook episodes that Nick imposed on them that are kinda bleh (Littlest Giant, Robin Hoek).
>tfw you liked both
why is her skating with no head so hot tho?
Cuz you're the wrong kind of weirdo.
This dude gets it
based as fuck
>Bob Camp is criminally underrated.
Based and truthpilled.
They're honestly not that bad, I disagree completely with how the R&S fans say, "the animation isn't good" considering I was surprised how much with the new team at Games Animation captured the style very accurately.
Even with most of their animation quality even better then the Spumco or at least on par.
>Those episodes are literally a decade old
Well, damn. Did that team of hacks gave the show any improvement since the early 2010's?
Buncha rape apologist SMDH.
Blame Paul Tibbitt for these shitty episodes, dude has a fucked up imagination
>“Lol I support child rape I’m so cool and edgy!!! XDXDXD PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!”
If people wanna actually see a good show they should watch small projects like “Hazbin Hotel” or other Indie projects and support them instead of wasting their time watching unfunny dribble written by rapist
I liked them, DESU. Bob Camp is actually a pretty good writer.
There is literally nothing wrong with rape. If not for rape, you wouldn't even exist.
>LMAO IM SOOOO EDGY
Go away, come back when you’re 18.
I'm probably old enough to be your dad actually. When you grow up, you'll stop being offended by stupid shit.
*teleports behind you*
nothing personnel, kid
...
most of the eps Chris Reccardi directed were good
God rest his soul
